Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power Chapter 471: Salvation in Profanity
Previously on Killed Me? Now I Have Your Power...
The kiss felt clumsy, but savagely intense. Keisha wasn't locking lips like a woman pierced by Cupid's arrow, craving to relish the touch, the aroma, the warmth of affection.
Far from it.
Instead, she kissed like someone gasping for air in a flood, fighting desperately to keep her head up, away from the abyss where self-loathing, fury, and bitterness scorched all without mercy.
Her trembling hands cradled Sky's face, smashing her lips to his, as though he was the lifeline yanking her from the tempest.
Sky matched her ferocity.
His motives clashed completely with hers. For him, this explosive tension — the sort he'd always dodged with Katy — meant pure liberation.
Freedom from the burdens weighing on his soul. Escape from the pressures crushing him. There, in that shadowy wooden cavern, hidden from all eyes, Sky could drop the pretense of being Sky.
He no longer had to fake smiles for his Order's members, ignoring the fury and bitterness boiling in his darkened heart.
He could quit concealing his loathing for Order Draco — and thus the whole Underground Game of Freedom and all it contained.
With Keisha, he became a man driven solely by revenge. That was his true self.
No romance. No bonds. No noble acts.
Just the icy pursuit of Mariam's final gift as death twisted her face, followed by returning to Darklore to obliterate his entire kin.
Thus, two shattered souls exploited one another to soothe their pain. This went on for quite some time until their mouths separated at last.
Their gazes locked without wavering, breaths coming in short gasps, lips glistening.
Right then, they understood. A connection had sparked. Its conclusion unknown to both.
And neither minded.
"How?" Keisha croaked, still stroking Sky's face like she couldn't get enough of his allure.
Sky remained utterly himself.
"Our choices are limited." Sky answered, grasping the intent behind her words. "Yet before we dive deep into our plan, one thing must be made clear."
His gaze turned steely. "Order Draco tops my list, but it's not alone. I want them all, Keisha... I aim to shatter this entire Underground."
"Oh." Keisha uttered, a shift flickering across her features. "I keep overlooking it, Sky — you weren't born in this pit."
A empty laugh escaped her, her single eye gleaming oddly. "You were hurled into this nightmare without choice or warning. Naturally, you'd crave the ruin of the hell that forged you."
She touched her forehead to his once more. "The stunning beast you've turned into."
"Are you in," Sky demanded, skipping the chatter, "or out?"
"I've been yours since your hand met my face." She shot back. "The kiss sealed it. Our paths are linked. So tell me again, how?"
"The Heir of Monsters."
Keisha's eye widened instantly. "What?"
"The Heir of Monsters." He restated, fixing his crimson eyes on her silver one. "That's our ace in the hole."
"She'll slaughter us before a word escapes our lips."
"Not if we state our purpose upfront. And I'll handle the speaking."
"Because of your looks?" Keisha sneered, lips curling. "Don't you get it, Sky? Monsters crave the grotesque. See me — I'd fit right in with them. Why you over me?"
"I'm human." Sky stated flatly. "You, from the Orders, carry baggage with the Heir that I lack. I'm safer from instant death. Plus, two other factors make it me, not you."
His hand flashed out, clamping her throat in a vise before she could react.
Her pupils expanded. Her pulse thundered in her ribs.
"One," Sky declared, his eyes blazing in the gloom. "I'm stronger."
She gulped, pulse pounding. His hold constricted her throat, knees buckling under his surging aura.
"Two, Keisha — I command. You don't."
He let go.
Keisha hacked violently, saliva spraying, her eye glistening with held-back tears.
Sky observed impassively, giving her time to recover.
She bounced back quicker than anticipated.
Head raised, she met his stare amid coughs and rasped out words.
"This your way of treating a fresh kiss, Sky?" Her tone was eerily soft, pain twisting beneath. "So this is you, then?"
Despite it all, she rose and pressed near him, drawn only to his nearness for solace.
"Clarity was essential." He explained.
"Point taken." She whispered, leaning her head on his chest. "You're the leader, the ruler, the emperor of emperors — sky and heavens combined! Got it. Crystal clear. But..."
Her words dropped to a hush.
"What about me?" She angled her face up, flashing a grin. "Your harlot? Bed-warmer?"
"You will—!"
"My choice." She interrupted. "Let me pick my role to you. And yours to me."
Sky paused, then assented. "Say it."
Her grin widened into something feral. "I don't mind who you love or your past with famous Katy Moira..."
Sky tensed at the mention.
"...Share your body. I'll share mine. Nothing more. Let's shield our hearts."
"Does that work for you?" She pushed, already slipping off her clothes without pause.
"What're you doing?" Sky demanded, voice faltering slightly.
"Shut your eyes and go if no." Keisha replied. "Or stay, drink me in, and take the deal."
Moments later, she stood naked, eyes firm on Sky, reclining with legs parted wide, arms outstretched in welcome.
A summons devoid of sanctity.
"Let me drown in you." She breathed. "You drown in me."
"Bad idea, Keisha. You'll rue it." He balled a fist. "We'll both rue it."
"Perfect." She cackled roughly. "Ruined by remorse or revenge — what's the diff? Which hurts more? Pointless. I'm cursed either way."
She bared her teeth in a smile.
"We're cursed. So savor what the world ever granted us."
"The delights of flesh." Sky grumbled.
"Yes." She agreed. "Come now, Sky. I'm chilly."
He stayed silent briefly, mind racing, emotions torn.
Soon his garments fell away, and Sky surrendered to the pull.
"Shield your heart, Sky." Keisha groaned as flesh joined flesh. "I'm a beast. Pulling you into the depths with me."
"I'm choosing to follow." Sky responded.
After all...
