The Three-tailed Demon Fox cornered the injured Baili An on a snowy mountain peak, demanding his energy or his companion, Shu Ci, in exchange for her own healing. Baili An refused to sacrifice Shu Ci, captivating the Demon Fox with his gaze and hinting at a willingness to submit to her desires for Shu Ci's safety.

Baili An quietly lowered his eyelids, remaining silent.

Hidden within his tattered sleeves, his pale fingertips curled slightly, harboring a subtle shyness that deeply stirred the fox demon.

She did not press him, patiently observing him with the keen eyes of a predator sizing up its ensnared prey.

He stood adrift in the biting wind for a considerable time, until the ferocity of the snowstorm began to infiltrate the wound on his back, causing fresh blood to trickle down.

Baili An’s complexion grew even more ashen against the backdrop of the wind and snow.

The Three-tailed Demon Fox observed as his taut shoulders gradually softened under the oppressive environment.

At long last, he calmly tilted his head upwards, his hand emerging from his sleeve, ready to be placed within the waiting palm of the Three-tailed Demon Fox.

Shu Ci felt a mix of astonishment and overwhelming, disbelieving joy.

Three years prior, even when the Demon Lord commanded him to become her consort, he had staunchly refused.

Even when pushed to the absolute brink, he had unflinchingly sought a means to escape the Demon World, braving the perilous Beiyuan Forest.

What was this Three-tailed Demon Fox compared to that?

In terms of status and physical beauty, she was in a completely different league from the Demon Lord Arao.

Furthermore, the Demon Lord regarded him with an affection akin to that of a cherished darling.

Not to mention that this fox demon appeared more than willing, almost as if she would readily offer her precious pure blood for him.

Let alone indulge in the act of extracting Yang to replenish Yin.

Shu Ci harbored no doubt that her own lust-blinded Female Demon Lord might very well die content upon his very person, a smile of blissful, unregretful death gracing her lips.

Yet, despite all this, Baili An had remained resolute, unwilling to submit. Now, for some inscrutable reason, he was prepared to yield to this grotesque and lewd fox demon.

While Shu Ci's scholarly intellect could not fully comprehend the extent of the sacrifice involved,

she had a distinct premonition that it was nothing auspicious.

Even with a heart as unyielding as steel, she found herself unexpectedly moved, experiencing for the first time a pang of guilt for compelling someone to such a debased submission.

As the Three-tailed Demon Fox drew nearer, Shu Ci’s heart felt as though it were suspended by a thread, fearing Baili An might abandon all resistance.

Abruptly, she sensed an inexplicable chill enveloping her, the aura of the Karma Barrier intensifying significantly as she found herself within his embrace.

Like ethereal spiderwebs, tendrils of black mist ascended like spectral soul fire from within their very beings.

Only Shu Ci could distinctly perceive this sudden, dramatic shift.

Her previously quiescent, hunger-like state immediately erupted, the surrounding intense Karma Barrier aura making her feel so utterly comfortable that she nearly emitted a soft groan.

The Three-tailed Demon Fox's craggy visage continued to sport its smile, halting mere paces away from Baili An.

She watched as he slowly extended his hand into her waiting palm.

Having endured the chastisement from the Taixuan Nine Classics last night, she mused that tonight, she might as well indulge in this young man to restore herself.

But at this critical juncture, the howling gale on the cliff abruptly ceased, though the snowstorm continued its peculiar, swirling ballet.

The Three-tailed Demon Fox’s heart gave a violent lurch as she craned her head upwards sharply, observing Baili An beneath the starlit heavens, his eyelids partially lowered.

The wind rustled his robes, yet his expression remained serenely impassive, devoid of any discernible sorrow or joy.

The finger poised to descend suddenly lifted, and starlight began to coalesce within his pale, slender hand.

A creeping sense of bewildered dread slithered into her heart like a cold, venomous serpent.

The Three-tailed Demon Fox’s eyes narrowed into a piercing glint.

She then witnessed that seemingly fragile and innocuous pale hand strike out towards the star-dusted night sky, generating undulating, transparent ripples, as if summoning the eternal embrace of night.

That hand grasped a spear forged from condensed, blood-red energy beneath the constellations.

As the long spear materialized into existence, the surrounding atmosphere convulsed with intense and terrifying chaos, the very air beginning to vortex violently.

Garbed in fluttering attire, Baili An drew an arc with one foot, his body inclining, executing a fluid, shallow pirouette.

The long spear in his grasp was hurled forth like a descending dragon, and the ground was rent asunder by the sheer force of the spear's momentum, creating a trench a foot deep.

What a staggering metamorphosis!

The Three-tailed Demon Fox stood merely three steps from Baili An.

She could never have conceived that this frail, grievously wounded man, teetering on the precipice of death, still harbored such a terrifying, lethal strike!

Even in the briefest of instants, she perceived this mortal peril, her own abundant inner energy surging forth as if a dam had burst.

A sudden eruption directly ahead manifested as an umbrella-shaped barrier, intercepting the blood-hued spear just outside its reach.

Yet, even so, in the frantic haste of her defense, how could it possibly withstand the full-force assault of the Dark Blood Spear, which had been accumulating power for so long?

The umbrella-like barrier that had formed before her shattered instantaneously, much like fragile glass.

With grim intent, the spear's sharp point lunged forward, aiming for the forehead, and a torrent of blood erupted.

A piercing, enraged cry escaped the Three-tailed Demon Fox as her eyes ignited with a demonic, crimson glow.

She flung her arm upwards, a fierce sweep of her voluminous sleeve meeting the spear; the cuff instantly disintegrated.

Her slender arm burst in a shower of vivid red, yet this desperate move could only marginally deflect the spear's deadly trajectory through the air.

The spear's edge sliced across her cheek, and the Three-tailed Demon Fox's gaze turned malevolent as she tilted her head slightly.

The blood-hued spear, radiating an aura of dark finality, sheared off a lock of her long hair before vanishing into the deep shadows behind her.

Despite her fury, the Three-tailed Demon Fox considered the opponent's all-or-nothing final gambit neutralized, at the minor cost of an injury.

In terms of utter frustration and crushing despair, none could likely rival his state at this precise moment.

A mocking curve played on her lips as she regarded Baili An, preparing to speak.

Meanwhile, the youth on the other side remained in his stance, one hand steadfastly supporting the young demon.

Positioned sideways, facing the narrowly missed strike, his eyes betrayed no hint of disappointment.

He simply offered a slight smile to the demon fox, then raised his index finger to his lips, silently bidding her to be still.

The Three-tailed Demon Fox paused, momentarily taken aback.

That particular direction…

Suddenly, the reason for his choice to cut off his escape and make his stand atop the mountain peak became clear.

Her mind reeled as if struck with immense force, twisting around with impossible speed, unable to even detect the arrow's passage with her Divine Sense.

The two colossal fox tails trailing behind her snapped upright, her eyes burning an even deeper red, her expression contorting into a wild, inhuman roar of fury.

Her Qi surged uncontrollably in all directions, whipping up a fresh blizzard across the mountain as she transformed into her true demon fox form.

Disregarding the bleeding wound, she forcefully regenerated her severed third tail, her form dissolving in an instant, leaving a multitude of afterimages in her wake.

At the steep price of burning her Essence Blood cultivation, she propelled herself forward with desperate speed.

The wind howled before the snow descended, and the demon fox was already at the spear's tip, her twin tails wrapping around her shoulders to shield her chest.

A meter behind her lay the grievously wounded, armless youth in black robes, seemingly asleep amidst the flora.

The spear cleaved through the void, and one of her tails exploded, narrowly managing to expend all the Blood Energy contained within the spear.

The fox demon Ting Yan, drained of her vitality, painfully lost another appendage, and her sole remaining tail bore a sinister, gaping hole.

She unleashed a passionate cry.

Who could have imagined that she, who ought to have been in an unassailable position, would suffer such grievous wounds from a dying youth?

With her sharp vision, she observed Baili An trembling precariously, utterly drained of strength, yet attempting to descend the mountain.

Absolutely not!

The demon fox Ting Yan's eyes, now bloodshot, confirmed her resolve; she truly sacrificed her last remaining demon tail.

Her Qi surged, embodying a destructive Great Demon, and her body launched upwards with unimaginable velocity, hurtling back towards the mountain's summit.

Baili An's palms were slick with blood, and this time, he possessed no remaining strength to confront the enraged demon fox.

He had underestimated the lingering Immortal Energy residing within her, a final remnant from her Golden Immortal power.

His initial strategy was to utilize the long-accumulated power of the Dark Blood Spear to obliterate both her tails and sever her head!

However, only one tail was destroyed, completely enraging this demon fox, rendering the outcome far from ideal.

Though the ambush had achieved its purpose, Baili An could not be considered the victor.

For at this juncture, he genuinely risked perishing right here.

His vision began to waver; having depleted his Blood Energy, the residual Thunder Power within his body now wreaked indiscriminate havoc upon his tendons, bones, and flesh, rendering him incapable of absorbing any Spiritual Power from the surrounding world.

At this moment, even a common, robust woodcutter would possess the capability to end his life.

Upon seeing the Three-tailed Demon Fox still standing, Baili An felt a pang of deep disappointment.

Sensing her potent, furious aura hurtling towards the mountain peak with incredible speed, he felt utterly powerless.
