After Ye Haochuan was stopped from killing Qin Fang by Yin Xirou's naive pleas, Qin Fang secretly murdered Hao Gaoxing and another disciple to cover up her actions. Later, Ye Haochuan and Yin Xirou encountered the Yin-Horned Swamp, where Yin Xirou warned of beasts that could trap victims in a Space Vortex. Ye Haochuan used his Heavenly Eye to observe the beasts, noting their spatial abilities and an unusual one among them.

"Follow closely behind me and remember, not a single step away!" Ye Haochuan instructed.

"You can discover the hiding spots of those Demon Beasts?" Yin Xirou asked in confusion.

Ye Haochuan didn’t offer much of an explanation. After a simple nod, he went ahead and led the way, flying into the swamp.

Yin Xirou and Tang Yucheng exchanged a glance, each seeing the doubt in the other’s eyes.

However, they also knew that Ye Haochuan wouldn’t speak without reason. Ultimately, they chose to trust him and followed.

Under Ye Haochuan’s lead, the three of them presented a twisted path, slowly advancing toward the depths of the marsh.

Initially, Yin Xirou and Tang Yucheng were a bit worried, but as the three ventured further in, without facing any attacks, they finally relaxed.

"Is it possible that there are no Yin-Horned Demonic Beasts in this marsh?" Tang Yucheng wondered aloud.

"That shouldn’t be the case! The information was left by predecessors; there’s no reason to deceive us!"

Yin Xirou whispered in explanation, then turned to Ye Haochuan, "He must have some secret means!"

After hearing this, Tang Yucheng also shifted his gaze to Ye Haochuan, waiting for his answer.

"It’s actually not that big of a deal, just that my eyes are a bit special!"

Ye Haochuan said with a serene smile, somewhat exuding an air of nonchalance.

Only then did the two notice the golden light shining in Ye Haochuan’s eyes, and couldn’t help but feel jealous.

As they spoke, the three arrived at the central area of the Yin-Horned Marsh.

The three searched for a long time but could not find any trace of the Heavenly Soul Mud.

After half an hour passed, an air of disappointment started to develop among them.

The Four Images Secret Realm was filled with endless opportunities. If they wasted too much time here, other valuable heavenly treasures might be claimed by others.

"What’s that?"

Yin Xirou suddenly exclaimed with excitement, then quickly rushed forward.

Following the direction of Yin Xirou’s flight, Ye Haochuan saw a piece of slightly lighter-colored soil about a hundred meters away in the marsh.

"Heavenly Soul Mud!"

Dou Chi had already described the characteristics of Heavenly Soul Mud to him, so he instantly recognized it.

"Be careful!"

Before the joy could settle, Ye Haochuan suddenly cried out.

Yin Xirou, warned, immediately noticed a streak of black light speeding towards her.

The chilling light was so fast and so close, leaving her hardly any time to react.

If it were Ye Haochuan, he would definitely have dodged with all his might in that instant.

But Yin Xirou lacked combat experience, and in that moment, she hesitated about whether to dodge or defend.

With the chilling light almost upon her, Yin Xirou felt a coldness spread throughout her body.

Yet at that moment, a sword light flashed through, piercing the black light.

A harrowing howl was heard, and half a fish tail fell away.

But the black light, driven by inertia, continued its rapid speed.

Yin Xirou had fallen completely into despair.

A shadow suddenly flickered in front of her, pushing her away in an instant.

"No!"

Yin Xirou felt no relief, instead she shouted anxiously and rushed forward again.

But it was too late. The shadow was rapidly twisting, like a piece of paper being crumpled, turning into a shrinking singular point until it disappeared.

The black light finally paused and fell softly—it was that different Yin-Horned Demonic Beast.

The uniqueness of this Yin-Horned Demonic Beast lay in its faster speed and more concealed form, almost merging with the soil, making it difficult even for Ye Haochuan with his Heavenly Eye to discover.

"Why is this happening? Why is this happening?"

Yin Xirou’s tears flowed like a fountain as she screamed endlessly at the spot where Ye Haochuan’s figure had disappeared.

She hated herself for being so impulsive, so careless, and even more for her slow response, which caused Ye Haochuan to take the hit on her behalf.

In fact, it was not entirely her fault. Anyone in a prolonged safe state would relax mentally, thinking there wouldn’t be further danger.

Perhaps the commotion was too intense, attracting nearby Demon Beasts’ attention.

In an instant, countless black lights shot into the sky, like thousands of arrows, firing towards Yin Xirou from all directions.

Instead of doing anything, Yin Xirou closed her eyes, shouting loudly, "Come on, let me die with him!"

"What foolish talk!"

A stern voice rang out, and she felt someone pulling her, flying away swiftly.

"Why are you pulling me? I caused his death; I want to be buried with him!"

Yin Xirou yelled and struggled fiercely.

"Nonsense! He used his life to save you, not for you to throw your life away!"

Tang Yucheng’s voice was cold, his face filled with pain, but as a man, he was clearly much calmer than Yin Xirou.

"He’s already gone. If you truly feel guilty, you should live well for him, fulfill his last wishes, and take care of his family!"

Tang Yucheng continued to pull Yin Xirou away, advising her in a stern voice.

"You’re right, I must avenge him!"

Yin Xirou was suddenly dazed, a determined look appearing on her small face.

The next moment, a tremendous Flower Energy surged from within her.

Countless Green Phoenix phantoms shot towards the black lights as if they cost nothing.

Almost instantaneously, all the black lights were annihilated.

The exhaustion was apparent as Yin Xirou’s face turned pale as paper, and she fainted.

Fortunately, Tang Yucheng’s quick reflexes caught Yin Xirou’s body, collected the Heavenly Soul Mud that had caused Ye Haochuan’s death, and left with a sigh.

...

"It hurts!"

Ye Haochuan appeared in the Minor World, covered in frightening wounds, his entire body a bloody mess.

After being sucked into the Space Vortex, he immediately chose to connect with the Minor World.

Given how he ended up even with his Vajra body, it’s imaginable that anyone else would have been torn to shreds.

"Haochuan, what happened to you?"

A gentle voice reached his ears, and Ye Haochuan saw a face of unparalleled beauty filled with worry.

"I’m fine, how long have you been awake?"

Ye Haochuan swallowed a Mysterious Pill, playfully pinched Rui’er, and smiled.

The effect of the third-grade Mysterious Pill was excellent; within a moment, Ye Haochuan’s injuries began to heal visibly.

He collected the Xihun Needle during his last visit, but Rui’er hadn’t yet fully absorbed the massive soul, which was why she hadn’t woken up.

"I just woke up recently, waiting for you was boring, but then you suddenly appeared."

Seeing Ye Haochuan was alright, Rui’er finally relaxed, "What happened? How did you come back covered in blood?"

"It’s nothing!"

Ye Haochuan didn’t want Rui’er to worry, so he brushed off her concern.

Perhaps the feeling of relief after surviving such an ordeal allowed him to relax, his heart aflame as he gazed at Ruier’s enchanting face.

"Since you waited for me so eagerly, how could I not properly compensate you?"

And with that, he eagerly pounced on Rui’er, becoming quite unruly!
