Invincible Little School Doctor Chapter 2356: Why Don’t I Help You Cool Off?

Ye Haochuan followed Hall Master Li back to the Miscellaneous Hall, registered his name, and received a special round token.
No one knew what material this token was made from; it felt warm and smooth in his hand, with Ye Haochuan’s name carved on the front and the words "West Peak" on the back.
With this token, Ye Haochuan was now an Official Disciple of South Sect’s West Peak.
All Official Disciples were assigned a small cave dwelling, rich in Spiritual Energy, which counted as a pretty decent cultivation spot.
Ye Haochuan naturally got one as well. This cave dwelling, located halfway up West Peak, contained a second-rank Spirit Gathering Array; the Flower Energy inside was about ten times higher than outside.
And this was still West Peak’s lowest-grade cave dwelling. If it were a Void God Expert, that is, an Elite Disciple, the Flower Energy density in their cave would be at least a hundred times that of the outside world.
"This is exactly the gap between Official Disciples and ordinary Disciples. Really is like heaven and earth!" Ye Haochuan couldn’t help sighing.
Those Outer Sect Disciples, don’t even talk about having a cave dwelling— they didn’t even have time to cultivate in the regular training grounds. All they had was a life of running around exhausted every day, like livestock penned up and raised.
Only an overlord like the Temple, which ruled over the Immortal Realm Continent, would dare to be so brazen, making Cultivators at True Immortal Late Stage and above play the role of such lowly existences.
And yet people outside still fought tooth and nail to get into the Temple, to do this kind of exhausting, thankless work. Thinking about it was really ironic.
After lamenting the perks of being an Official Disciple for a while, Ye Haochuan originally wanted to go to the Service Hall to see what tasks he could take to earn Contribution Points, but when he saw the time, his cheek couldn’t help twitching.
Damn it, time to be dog-tired again, getting tomorrow’s Spirit Meal ready!
He’d become an Official Disciple, yet still had to run around all day handling the food and drink of other Official Disciples. Just thinking about it made him feel sorry for himself.
Ye Haochuan didn’t rush back to the Spirit Meal Room, but headed straight toward Yin Xirou’s residence.
Before he even got close, he heard a fawning voice from afar: "Xirou, I really came to learn Alchemy sincerely, just let me in!"
Well damn, the guy actually came!
Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but smirk to himself, waiting from a distance to watch the guy get smacked down.
Very soon, a cold voice came from inside the house: "I have no intention of taking on a Disciple. Get lost!"
The voice was still fairly polite, but anyone could hear there was a thread of anger in the tone.
"Xirou, don’t be like this. My feelings for you are as true as sun and moon. Can’t you feel it? What’s so great about that guy surnamed Ye? I can guarantee his feelings for you are nowhere near as sincere as mine..."
Hao Gaoxing suddenly shifted his tone, launching into a heartfelt confession.
Before he could finish, Yin Xirou’s door suddenly swung open.
"Xirou, you’re finally willing to accept me?" Hao Gaoxing was overjoyed.
But what greeted him was Yin Xirou’s ice-cold gaze, and a soft, fair hand that nonetheless contained terrifying power.
With a sharp "smack," Hao Gaoxing’s figure once again flew off like a kite with its string cut, crashing heavily to the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"I already said, there’s nothing like what you think between me and Ye Haochuan. Yet you keep pushing my bottom line again and again. Looking for death, are you?"
Murderous intent filled Yin Xirou’s eyes, adding a touch of heroic sharpness to her pretty face.
Hao Gaoxing held his somewhat swollen cheek and said aggrievedly, "Since you’re not interested in him, why are you willing to teach him Alchemy but not me?"
"Who said I taught him Alchemy?"
Yin Xirou glared at Hao Gaoxing. She wanted to explain that it was Ye Haochuan teaching her, but then she suddenly remembered Ye Haochuan had asked her to keep his Alchemy a secret, so she swallowed the second half of the sentence as a matter of course.
"If you’re not teaching him Alchemy, then what do you let him into your room for?" Hao Gaoxing pressed.
Yin Xirou couldn’t reveal the truth and couldn’t come up with any other reasonable explanation, so frustration surged in her chest and she huffed, "Since when do my affairs have anything to do with you? Hurry up and get lost, or don’t blame me for getting rough!"
With that, she slammed the door shut with a bang.
She had no idea that the more she refused to explain, the more it invited wild speculation.
"No way. Xirou is pure and spotless; she absolutely wouldn’t do that kind of thing with some random brat. It must just be an Alchemy relationship. I have to trust her!"
Hao Gaoxing suddenly shook his head, firming up his conviction in his heart.
At that moment, a light, airy voice drifted into his ears.
"Turned away at the door and even got slapped around. I almost feel sorry for you, man."
Hao Gaoxing followed the voice and looked over, just in time to see Ye Haochuan’s mocking face. A surge of anger instantly flared up in his heart.
"What are you so smug about? If you dare knock on her door, the result will be just the same. Hell, you might end up even worse than me!"
Hao Gaoxing was sure Ye Haochuan wouldn’t fare any better. And because of certain rumors, Yin Xirou was now desperate to sever ties with Ye Haochuan. If Ye Haochuan went knocking now, Yin Xirou definitely wouldn’t give him a pleasant reception.
"How about we make a bet? Bet that Alchemist Yin not only won’t drive me away, but will even respectfully invite me inside." Ye Haochuan laughed.
"Fine, let’s bet. If you lose, you’ll kowtow to me three times, then swear never to pester Xirou again in your life!" Hao Gaoxing said smugly.
"Sure. If you lose, my conditions for you are exactly the same!"
Ye Haochuan didn’t bother wasting words with Hao Gaoxing. He walked straight up to Yin Xirou’s door and knocked lightly twice.
"Are you done yet? I swear you’re just begging to die, aren’t you?"
Yin Xirou’s furious shouting came from inside. As the door opened, Ye Haochuan saw a slender Longsword thrusting straight for his throat.
Ye Haochuan was shocked. Yin Xirou’s speed was simply too fast; he had no way to dodge.
Fortunately, this sword strike wasn’t meant to kill. The tip halted abruptly just a hair’s breadth from his throat.
"Why is it you?"
Recognizing Ye Haochuan’s face, Yin Xirou said in surprise.
Ye Haochuan didn’t dodge the slender sword, instead smiling calmly. "Alchemist Yin, you’re awfully cranky. Could it be you’re lacking a bit of comfort? I happen to be free today, how about I help you vent some of that fire?"
Yin Xirou’s expression, which had held a hint of guilt, instantly turned angry. She snapped, "Watch your filthy mouth. If one more obscene word comes out of it, believe it or not, I’ll cut your tongue out and soak it in wine!"
"Hmph. Arrogant idiot. Weren’t you just boasting that Xirou would obediently invite you in? How come all I see is that Xirou’s even angrier than before?"
Hao Gaoxing sneered from a distance, his eyes full of glee.
Ye Haochuan tossed him a faint smile, then suddenly leaned in to whisper something by Yin Xirou’s ear.
The anger on Yin Xirou’s face immediately vanished without a trace, and there was even a hint of joy there.
"Come in."
She sheathed her sword and walked back into the room ahead of him.
Ye Haochuan lifted his brows at Hao Gaoxing, his smugness obvious, then stepped inside and gently shut the door.
"Didn’t she say there was nothing special between them? Xirou, why? Why?"
Hao Gaoxing was so furious he nearly went insane. He glared at the tightly closed door, wishing he could rush in, drag that pair of dogs out, and flog them in public to soothe his wounded little heart.
