Ye Haochuan defeated the Seven-Star Leopard and found himself surrounded by numerous demon beasts. He and Niu Kui fought their way through the horde, with Ye Haochuan utilizing his Halberd of Heaven and Earth and Niu Kui showcasing his immense physical strength. They managed to escape by using a scent-masking powder, making their journey safer for the time being.

As darkness enveloped the land.

Though their journey had been uneventful, their overly cautious approach had significantly reduced their travel speed.

They had covered less than one hundred miles throughout the entire day. At this pace, a journey estimated to take five to six days could very well extend to over ten days.

Nevertheless, no alternative existed, and neither of them could afford to hasten their progress.

Traveling under the cover of night presented considerably more peril than venturing out during daylight. After a full day of constant vigilance, both individuals were quite fatigued, leading them to discover a cavern for their overnight rest.

This particular cave, previously the domain of a Green-Eyed Demon Tiger, was notably spacious and retained a comforting warmth, thus serving as an excellent refuge. As for the Green Spirit Tiger itself, it 'graciously' offered itself up to become their evening meal.

Once they had eaten their fill, Niu Kui was soon emitting loud snores.

Ye Haochuan couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. Such profound tranquility in sleep was only achievable by a mind unburdened by complex worries.

A small chuckle escaped Ye Haochuan's lips as he decided against sleeping, instead retrieving the Communicating with God Treasure Order.

The spectral figure residing within the Treasure Order was long overdue to uphold its solemn promise and finally awaken.

Previously, the figure had stated that Ye Haochuan could awaken it once he achieved the Nascent Soul Peak cultivation level. However, despite numerous attempts, Ye Haochuan had garnered no response even after reaching the zenith of his Nascent Soul stage.

Now, having ascended to the Immortal Transformation Early Stage, if he still failed to rouse the figure, could it be that the entity was truly deceased and irrecoverably lost?

He had opted to attempt the awakening in this secluded location out of sheer necessity. While residing at Half-Mountain Residence, he had contemplated this very action, but he harbored concerns that any potential conflict arising from the figure's awakening might implicate him and create undue trouble.

Upon his return to Anxi County, his involvement in matters concerning Niu Kui had occupied his attention, causing him to completely forget about this pending task until the present moment.

With a newfound sense of calm, Ye Haochuan swiftly assumed a cross-legged position, regulated his breathing, focused his intent, placed the Treasure Order within his palm, clasped his hands together, and began to slowly channel his Flower Energy into it.

Ten minutes elapsed with surprising swiftness.

A considerable portion of Ye Haochuan's Flower Energy had been expended. Such prolonged exertion of energy was proving to be a significant drain, a fact made evident by the continuous beads of sweat forming on his brow.

'Damn it, still no response. Is it possible that fellow is truly dead?'

Ye Haochuan mused aloud.

If even his Flower Energy proved insufficient for awakening, Ye Haochuan felt he would be at a complete loss.

Just as he began to perceive his Flower Energy reserves as inadequate and contemplated ceasing his efforts to try again another time, the Treasure Order unexpectedly vibrated slightly. Then, much like a starved beast awakening from a long slumber, it began voraciously absorbing Ye Haochuan's Flower Energy.

'Damn it, a reaction at last!'

Instead of alarm, elation surged through Ye Haochuan as he willingly permitted the Treasure Order to drain his Flower Energy.

Shortly thereafter, the remnants of Ye Haochuan's Flower Energy were completely consumed by the Treasure Order.

Without delay, Ye Haochuan ingested a Spirit Level Infant Energy Condensation Pill. The pill dissolved with remarkable speed, rapidly replenishing his Dantian with a surging tide of Spiritual Energy and Flower Energy.

The remarkable efficacy of Spirit Level Pills was unequivocally demonstrated in this instance. Had he relied on elixirs of a mortal grade, the rate of replenishment would have been vastly inferior.

Perceiving the renewed abundance of Flower Energy within Ye Haochuan, the Treasure Order seemed to grow even more animated, frantically continuing its draw of Flower Energy. The potent Flower Energy contained within the Infant Energy Condensation Pill was rapidly depleted.

'Damn, lucky I have plenty of pills on hand, or I'd be completely drained.'

Ye Haochuan promptly consumed two additional Infant Energy Condensation Pills, allowing the Treasure Order to absorb their contents.

Finally, as the Flower Energy from the third Infant Energy Condensation Pill neared depletion, a faint sigh emanated from within the Treasure Order.

The sound was initially weak but steadily grew in volume and strength over time.

'Damn, I truly believed I had perished. Who would have thought I could survive? It appears the heavens still look out for me!' A voice declared from within the Treasure Order, confirming it was indeed the voice of the entity he had encountered before.

With each utterance, a wispy gray mist began to emerge from the Treasure Order, gradually coalescing to form the spectral likeness of a young man.

'Hold on, aren't the souls residing within magical artifacts typically depicted as venerable old men? Furthermore, you consistently referred to yourself as 'this old man' previously; why do you appear so youthful?' Ye Haochuan inquired, his curiosity piqued.

'And who decreed that only elderly individuals are permitted to refer to themselves as 'this old man'? Does it not convey a sense of maturity and dependability?' the youth retorted defensively.

'Bah, you think that makes you dependable? Referring to yourself that way is utterly childish!'

Ye Haochuan allowed a smirk to play on his lips, thinking that perhaps this explained why others received grand legacy treasures while he was left with this peculiar artifact – it seemed to lack any profound historical depth.

He was indeed quite immature; it was no wonder nothing significant had been achieved!

'On another note, you mentioned awakening upon reaching Nascent Soul Peak, yet I attained Immortal Transformation and expended considerable effort to rouse you. Did you perhaps oversleep?' Ye Haochuan questioned, his curiosity unabated.

Upon hearing this, the youth's demeanor shifted to one of anger, and he exclaimed, 'How dare you utter such words? If it weren't for your intervention, I would have met my demise!'

"Almost died?" Ye Haochuan's bewilderment deepened as he asked, "How could that happen? I didn't do anything to hurt you, did I?"

"Don't you know that using the Treasure Order too often drains its source? In the Immortal Realm, this isn't a problem because the Flower Energy can replenish it. However, in the Lower Realm, without that Flower Energy, your constant usage without any replenishment gradually depleted the Order's source!"

The youth, clearly incensed, elaborated, "Most of the source energy is what sustains my soul. Your heavy usage severely weakened my protection, which in turn sped up my soul's dissipation. I was nearly completely gone!"

"What? You never told me not to overuse it!" Ye Haochuan protested, feeling wronged. He continued, "Besides, if you felt it depleting excessively, why didn't you give me a warning?"

"I was asleep! By the time I finally woke up, almost all my Soul Power was exhausted, leaving insufficient power to even manifest once!"

"Fortunately, you managed to ascend to the Immortal Realm so quickly. The Treasure Order was able to gather abundant Flower Energy, preserving the last remnants of my soul. If that hadn't happened, you would have truly annihilated me!"

Ye Haochuan felt a wave of exasperation wash over him. He hadn't anticipated that his careless actions would lead to such a perilous situation. If the youth had perished because of him, he would have felt... guilty? No, he wouldn't have, because he genuinely had no idea about the consequences!

"Still, I did manage to awaken you—does that count as making up for my mistake?" Ye Haochuan offered a sheepish grin.

"Hmph, if it weren't for that, I would have haunted you even in death!" the youth retorted with a snort.

Seriously, aren't you a ghost right now? If you had truly died, you would have ceased to exist, so how could you possibly haunt me?

Ye Haochuan chuckled inwardly, contemplating this thought.

"Now that you're alive and well, about that grand gift you promised—are you ready to hand it over?" Ye Haochuan beamed at the youth.
