Theo declined the duke's offer of blue coins, reaffirming his loyalty to the Vaelmont Merchant Group. Despite the duke's increased bid and a demonstration of Theo's mantis beast, which proved surprisingly potent, Theo maintained his stance. He offered the duke the first insect beast he brings to market as a gift, an offer the duke accepted, promising to await that day.

"Young master, what you just did sounded more like a business proposal... no wonder the Duke got the wrong signals and made so many offers."

Back in the dormitories, Theo was seated on his bed while both his attendants were seated in front of him, trying to understand what he had just done.

Theo smiled at them but didn’t speak just yet, making Elias say something too.

"Young master, if this information goes to the previous lord of the Vaelmont Group, things might stir up a little," he stated.

And at that moment, Theo finally smiled bigger. "I will take care of that. But for now, all we need to know is that the right people know about what’s to come later on. They will be expecting it, so when it does get to the market, I will have some backing," Theo spoke.

"Just think about it, Elias." Theo said and continued, "You put something up in the market, everyone is mocking you or is scared to buy it, but then one of the very few Duke noble title-holding families gives an order to you. What do you think will happen?" he asked.

At that moment, Elias looked at Theo and even though he felt like Theo was quite reckless with all this, he spoke out loud, "A trust may form which will lead others to at least order once."

"Correct."

Theo lay down on the bed and made a big stretch, and while Clara was happy seeing him this relaxed, she still had things on her mind.

"But this is the second time you have promised something you have not done anything about, young master... Where are these beasts that you are talking about? Is it the ants?" Clara asked.

Theo side-eyed her, but she was glad as there was this smile on his face even now.

It meant that Theo was not in the corner right now and had something planned.

"I have given the example of an insect called ’beetles’ twice now, so if you connect the dots..." Theo spoke and sat up straight.

"The plan is simple. You will procure as many insects as you can in your free time from the royal academy. I will write a letter back home to give us some additional funds for all this expense."

"We have already evolved a lot of the insects we currently have, but that is not enough. I don’t know which will become bigger through just the ingredients we give them and no fight. It’s going to take all our mind and focus," he stated.

Elias started writing things down on a little page he got out of his pocket while Clara listened intently.

"These nobles may have offered me ’blue’ coins, but in the end, it’s not like my family doesn’t have any money. Even you know, if I want, I can get at least 1 blue coin from Father after my letter reaches him in a few days."

Clara nodded, that really was the case.

"This Kingdom Game is going to take all my time and energy once it starts, so before that, we need to make as many preparations as I can. And I need both of your help in this, like usual."

Once Theo was done speaking, both Clara and Elias had satisfied faces.

"As long as you have a plan, young master. We will always be with you," Clara spoke, making Theo nod.

Theo talked about many things during the whole time they were together until Theo had to go for his training again.

During this training, it was a lot different than usual. This time, the others were more aware of him and Theo knew about it for certain when Varelya spoke.

"Theo, you need to be in the back this time, I want us four to tackle this problem right now."

He didn’t have a problem with that and the same thing happened tomorrow and then the day after tomorrow.

Until Theo knew one thing, they were trying to get on the same level as him but it was just not possible.

He had at least 2 years of experience now while they didn’t have a need for this experience until now.

But Theo was happy, he was going to address the problem later that everything in the team was done with him as the catalyst. If he was not there, it was correct to assume that nothing would go right.

So when they started doing things on their own, failing but learning, Theo had a good feeling about it.

Until finally, it was time for the next fight. The Arena Records were being conducted on a regular basis now with the entry tickets being bought up the moment the last fight was over.

It was the 3rd last battle and when Theo saw the person he had to fight against in the arena, he grinned naturally after a long time.

"Sir Rhevard, it would be better if you don’t hold back," Theo spoke as he reached the arena.

He ignored all the shouts and chants coming from the crowd as if they were secondary noises now.

There were more nobles in this fight now as not only the first but the second full row was also filled with important figures.

What was crazy about all this was the fact that these nobles and important figures were seated directly on the fine stone surface of the coliseum.

The same people that needed the most exquisite luxury in life no matter where they were.

Rhevard looked at Theo and nodded, making Theo want to chuckle but he refrained. Rhevard was not like Osric.

The referee soon entered the arena and with a mere swing of a flag and a loud shout, the battle had already started.

"The battle has begun."

At that moment, Theo and Rhevard waited at their spots without getting their beasts out.

There seemed to be a mutual understanding among them and soon, Rhevard smacked both his gauntlets together before starting to walk forward while Theo did the same, getting the sword out of the scabbard.

Everyone was awaiting the results of the battle, and it didn’t seem either party was about to back down anytime soon.

Theo’s gaze fell on the gauntlets again, and there it was, a brownish aura around it that seemed to be the same in consistency as the aura Theo possessed, but had a different colour to it.

The boy started running and Theo did the same, with the blade properly covered in aura.

Theo’s eyes widened as the mere two-second run was killing him with impatience; he needed to know what would happen when this brown aura would touch his sword aura.

With the question being screamed in his mind again and again, he saw Rhevard use his whole shoulder strength with a punch toward him, which was at a high pace.

But anything that was inside the spatial awareness Theo possessed made the speedy attack slow in front of his eyes. He was able to get his sword directly in contact with the gauntlet.

The brown and the white transparent aura raged on against each other for just a mere second before the brown aura erupted stronger and made Theo feel a pressure in his hands that he knew was not right.

Theo was so shocked looking at what happened that the moment he touched the sword with the gauntlet under Rhevard’s eyes was the same moment when he pulled it back to the side and used his right leg to hit the side of Rhevard’s feet.

Rhevard’s face turned into panic for the first time as he saw Theo overpowering his core strength and making his balance go off.

At that moment, Theo moved exactly how his body wanted to.

He didn’t care that all the nobles were looking right now or that all the students watching from the crowd wanted one of them to lose.

All his mind wanted was to know what this brown aura really was and how far it could go.

But that didn’t mean he would let the chance in front of him slip away either.

Theo pulled the sword back after making Rhevard’s balance collapse to the side and stepped in right away.

Rhevard tried using the other gauntlet to hit Theo’s ribs, but in Theo’s spatial awareness, that was too obvious.

Theo bent his whole body back and then moved the sword flatly toward Rhevard’s side.

The blade touched the uniform first, and then the body pushed back with a little pressure, but that was enough.

"First hit, Theo Merrick!" the referee shouted right away.

The crowd erupted right at the spot as if they knew the fight was going in a direction they had already thought it would go toward.

Many had not even understood how Rhevard’s balance had gone off that quickly and before they could think about it properly, the hit had already been counted.

Theo himself moved back two steps after getting the first hit and his eyes only stayed on Rhevard’s gauntlets.

’The brown aura overpowered mine... no,’ He stopped to think through, ’it did not just overpower it. It entered through the sword aura and the flow was going to become unstable... I haven’t experienced that before’ Theo thought in real focus.

Rhevard too had moved back already, and when Theo looked at his face, the panic was gone.

In its place, there was something Theo had not seen in the boy till now.

It was a form of excitment and the fear of the unknown that made him take a step forward instinctively, Theo wanted this fight.
