Bai Xiaosheng was unexpectedly appointed as a team leader for the business group's upcoming split, a role recommended by Lu Yun and Jia Chengshan. Despite initial surprise at his youth, his colleagues expressed confidence in his abilities. Upon arrival in Aisha, Bai Xiaosheng was met with grand diplomatic ceremonies and a welcoming banquet hosted by the Chieftain, where he was formally introduced as a leader. The next day, while engaged in diplomatic activities, Bai Xiaosheng received a surprising invitation from the Aisha Prince for a private evening banquet, leaving him puzzled about its origins but with a hunch about a potential connection.

An invitation arrived for Bai Xiaosheng from a Prince, whose words were remarkably amiable and carried a familiar undertone.

Upon deeper thought, Bai Xiaosheng recalled someone who might be connected to this unexpected contact.

It was the dark-skinned young man he had encountered back home—Chen Feiqiu.

That individual, around Bai Xiaosheng's own age, had been studying abroad in Huaxia, spoke Mandarin with remarkable fluency, and possessed a deep understanding of idioms and colloquialisms. Had one only heard his voice without seeing him, they would have easily mistaken him for a native Huaxia person.

Could it truly be him?

Bai Xiaosheng remembered Chen Feiqiu mentioning he was the son of a Chieftain, though he hadn’t given it much importance at the time.

Chen Feiqiu had also extended an invitation to visit his home, an offer Bai Xiaosheng had simply laughed off, deeming it highly improbable.

Yet, it seemed that prediction was now unfolding.

He was, in fact, a Prince of the Aisha Emirate?

The situation felt incredibly dramatic...

With the messenger of the invitation still standing before him, Bai Xiaosheng recomposed himself. He offered a smile and stated, "Kindly convey to His Highness the Prince that I will attend the banquet as scheduled."

The messenger immediately bowed, responding with deference, "Very well. As the message has been delivered, I shall report back to His Highness."

Bai Xiaosheng nodded and smiled, "Then, allow me to see you out."

These four words seemed to startle the messenger, who hastily waved his hands, refusing the offer with an tone that allowed no room for argument. "No, no! I cannot accept such an honor. You are a friend of His Highness the Prince! Such a distinguished status!"

Observing the messenger's firm refusal, Bai Xiaosheng relented.

Hou Yuncheng’s secretary, who was nearby, saw the exchange and quickly interjected with a smile towards Bai Xiaosheng, "Allow me to escort our guest. After all, I was the one who brought him here."

"I will entrust him to you then," Bai Xiaosheng nodded.

The envoy bowed once more to Bai Xiaosheng before turning to depart.

Hou Yuncheng’s secretary followed closely behind, escorting him throughout the premises.

Bai Xiaosheng watched as the two figures receded from view.

Once they were gone, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying stepped closer to examine the invitation card Bai Xiaosheng held.

"Oh my, the page inside doesn't look like mere gold plating; it appears to be genuine gold leaf! Just feel how substantial it is! Truly opulent!" exclaimed Lin Weiwei.

Lei Ying glanced at it before returning it to Bai Xiaosheng, inquiring, "Based on your reaction earlier, have you figured out the identity of this Prince?"

Bai Xiaosheng looked at him and then chuckled, "Don't you have any initial thoughts yourself?"

Lei Ying didn't deny it, instead offering a knowing smile.

"Who is it? Do you two actually know a Prince? How come I'm unaware of this!" Lin Weiwei exclaimed, noticing the shared understanding between Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying.

"Who says you don't know? You've met him too," Bai Xiaosheng replied with a laugh, then directly revealed the name they had likely guessed: "Chen, Fei, Qiu!"

Lin Weiwei paused for a moment, repeating, "Chen Feiqiu..."

Then, a flicker of recognition crossed her face. She began gesturing in the air with her index finger, "I remember now, it's him... Is he truly the son of a Chieftain?"

"Hmm, but wait. If he's the son of a Chieftain, does that make him a Prince?" Lin Weiwei frowned, voicing her suspicion. "My grasp of history might not be perfect, but I feel there's something inconsistent with the titles here."

Lei Ying, standing beside her, shrugged. "He mentioned being the son of a Chieftain. Who's to say his father must be the current Grand Chieftain? Perhaps he's the son of a former one?"

"Still, the relationship between the titles of Chieftain and King in this region, I still can't quite reconcile," Lin Weiwei persisted.

"Respect other people's traditions. If you don't understand, it's best not to pry," Lei Ying advised seriously.

Lin Weiwei eyed him skeptically. "When you say that, are you genuinely knowledgeable, or are you just trying to give me the runaround because you're also unsure?"

Lei Ying's demeanor suddenly became evasive.

In truth, he was also uncertain and found himself unable to provide a clear explanation...

"Alright, alright, let's put an end to this discussion. Regarding whether he's an acquaintance, we only know Chen Feiqiu, who might be a Prince. We will naturally find out when we meet him tonight, so let's not dwell on it further," Bai Xiaosheng interjected, attempting to mediate. "It would be far better if you both researched the etiquette of the Aisha Emirate. They undoubtedly possess unique customs, and even though it's a private banquet, it's wise to avoid being disrespectful as foreigners. One can't be sure if the dinner will adhere strictly to traditional rites or lean towards Western influence. It's advisable to gather some information, organize it, and then we can all educate ourselves. Showing respect to others is, in essence, showing respect to ourselves."

Bai Xiaosheng's reasoning was sound, and Lin Weiwei finally conceded.

Assigning them a task was certainly a more effective strategy than enduring their arguments, and Bai Xiaosheng could finally find some peace.

Just as he finished speaking, another knock echoed at the door.

Lin Weiwei went to the door and, to her surprise, found Hou Yuncheng himself standing there. "Director Hou!" When Bai Xiaosheng spotted Hou Yuncheng, he immediately rose to greet him. After nodding to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, who had also greeted him, Hou Yuncheng addressed Bai Xiaosheng. "Did you just receive an invitation from His Highness the Prince? I have a few things I wish to discuss with you." Bai Xiaosheng promptly guided Hou Yuncheng inside and instructed Lin Weiwei to bring tea. "There's no need for trouble. I'll only be here for two minutes, and it won't take long to say what I need to. Tea isn't necessary," Hou Yuncheng replied with a smile. Speaking plainly to Bai Xiaosheng, without any attempt to exclude Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, he continued, "I wish to impress upon you the significance of the invitation you've received." "The Aisha Emirate has consistently been a staunch ally of Huaxia, a nation with whom we share a friendly relationship. The total volume of trade between our two countries flourishes and grows with each passing year." "Within the Western Chieftain Union, the Aisha Emirate's power is considerable, likely placing them among the top five, and they wield substantial influence." "I understand that this Prince His Highness is held in high esteem by his country's Chieftain, and cultivating a positive relationship with him is undeniably beneficial. However, this is primarily a personal opportunity for you; the trade delegation will not require any specific actions from your end."
