Jenny and her companions were detained and surrounded by armed security at the Luto Checkpoint, while other vehicles were merely fined and released. Forced to endure exhaustive questioning from the leader on basic details, Jenny overheard his mutterings revealing they had offended Mr. Samba's friends—the Huaxia group ahead—and realized they were framed. Cooperating fully despite her growing hatred, she claimed ties to the Huaxia travelers as Bai Xiaosheng's group pressed on, with Lin Weiwei gleefully noting their rivals' plight.

Bai Xiaosheng grinned and shook his head. "Mr. Samba’s secretary probably caught them flipping us the middle finger, sensed the tension between us, and chose to lend us a hand. Clearly, a secretary’s knack for reading the room works everywhere around the globe!"

Lei Ying chuckled too.

"That woman didn’t truly harm us though. She aimed to incite the Kurik Clan against us, yet ended up aiding us by accident..." Bai Xiaosheng remarked.

Lin Weiwei bristled with anger right away and fired back, "That’s only because you, Xiaosheng, acted fast and smart, flipping disaster into advantage and even snagging a business deal. Their motives weren’t pure at all! On top of that, they refused to learn and stayed cocky later, which is downright irritating! They need a proper lesson!"

Bai Xiaosheng shrugged with a nonchalant laugh, "Okay, you win—they had it coming."

The trio shifted away from Jenny and her crew’s matter, chatting in Huaxia about the target companies instead.

Spanning energy mining, infrastructure projects, and cutting-edge tech development, these firms hold massive growth promise in Naliya. Tapping into Huaxia resources could spark limitless deals.

During the drive, Bai Xiaosheng dove into strategizing, pulling Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to refine concepts and sketch a broad plan. That prepared them to dive into partnership talks upon arrival.

The driver stole curious peeks at them now and then via the rearview mirror. He grasped bits of Huaxia speech, just basics like "Hello" and "Have you eaten?"...

As Bai Xiaosheng’s group finished their discussion, their first stop drew near.

Bai Xiaosheng checked with the driver in English, finding out only twenty minutes remained to the initial site. He told Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to rest up and recharge for the talks ahead.

Bai Xiaosheng and his companions directed the driver to an industrial park in Nalinta City as their prime target.

Two of the four companies they planned to check had main offices there, while the other pair maintained branches.

...

Meanwhile, over a hundred folks crowded the gates of Nalinta City’s new district’s top business park.

Up front stood a Nalinta City Deputy Mayor with various officials. Outpacing Dilu City yet trailing bigger hubs, the city poured extra effort into reeling in investments.

Following the Deputy Mayor came bosses from four companies. Farther back, bearers of bouquets and musicians waited to hail the Huaxia visitors from afar.

The four company heads buzzed with vitality, blending elders, mid-lifers, and youth—though the youngest topped forty.

Clustered tight, they scanned for the Huaxia Business Group, murmuring excitedly among themselves.

Their thrill was plain to see.

"I got pumped hearing a huge delegation of dozens of Huaxia tycoons was inbound. But learning too many invites forced them to split into small teams bummed me out a bit."

"Why the letdown? Rumors say a dozen from five huge Huaxia outfits are heading here—that’s solid for one stop on their packed tour."

"Consider it: we could land multiple partners per firm. Small headcount, sure, but these are Huaxia elite giants. With their deep pockets, investments could dwarf our expectations!"

"Exactly—if anyone sees the deal as puny, pass it my way!"

"Buzz off! Top-shelf elite partners like these? Bring on more!"

Amid their banter and laughs, the quartet eyed the road intently, pulses quickening at every nearing vehicle.

Pure anticipation burned in them for the Huaxia Business Group’s arrival.

As the moment neared, Nalinta City’s leaders ordered the welcome crew to stand ready. Knowing Huaxia loved such fanfare—and liking it themselves—they arranged it to flaunt their eagerness.

More than the merchants, the city brass craved the political and economic waves from this tie-up.

Amid the collective buzz, two sedans rolled into sight and pulled up just ahead.

Glances darted between everyone.

"Is this the business delegation that's visiting? Just two sedans—how many folks can squeeze into those? Weren't they expecting more than fifteen people? With security included, shouldn't a full convoy be rolling in!" one person blurted out in disbelief.

"This must be... the vanguard of the convoy, sent ahead to give us a heads-up!" another ventured uncertainly.

"Yeah, that has to be it!"

The idea gained quick approval from the crowd.

Leaders from Nalinta City and the bosses of the four companies rushed ahead promptly.

When the doors of both sedans swung open, two emerged from the front seats, and three more from the rear.

"Hey, aren't those folks working for Mr. Samba in Dilu City? What's their deal showing up here?" a companion of Nalinta City's Deputy Mayor exclaimed in astonishment.

Shock rippled through the group.

Why on earth were Dilu City representatives tagging along?

If outsiders were involved, it ought to be from Banjiao City.

Spotting the throng of familiar leaders ahead, Mr. Samba's two secretaries flashed warm smiles and approached with polite bows.

"What brings you here?" the welcoming Deputy Mayor frowned slightly as he questioned them.

"We're following Mr. Samba's instructions to accompany some honored visitors," they responded with deference.

"Guests from Huaxia," they clarified one after another under the officials' probing.

It was only then that the group spotted the trio stepping out from the rear and heading over, clearly bearing Huaxia features.

Yet these three appeared far too youthful, resembling aides or staff more than anything.

Nalinta's Deputy Mayor along with the four company heads dismissed Bai Xiaosheng and his companions as unimportant, offering just a fleeting look without further acknowledgment.

"Looks like they've got us all wrong, Xiaosheng," Lin Weiwei murmured softly to Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng grinned.

A grand business team was what they anticipated, but just three made up their group, so such a reaction was only natural.

"Who knew Mr. Samba was this sharp? Dilu City lacks even two solid firms to host top guests, yet they dispatch escorts for the handoff. Impressive work! Super swift!" Nalinta's Deputy Mayor remarked with a mocking edge, drawing chuckles from the onlookers.

The two secretaries from Samba shared a look, their faces strained as though words were on the tip of their tongues but held back.

"Where's the main convoy? How much longer until they arrive? Time to kick off the welcome event?" the Deputy Mayor inquired.

"Uh... Mr. Tori, no convoy is following," one of them answered tentatively.

"Hmm?" Nalinta's Deputy Mayor Tori froze in shock, while the four company heads nearby eyed the speaker with wide-eyed surprise.

The second secretary pressed on, "A portion of the Huaxia group opted to check out our area on short notice, so we've delivered the remaining members to you."

Deputy Mayor Tori and the enterprise chiefs stood there, utterly flabbergasted.

The group had seemed tiny enough already, but Dilu City had snatched away a chunk!

"So... where are the others?" Deputy Mayor Tori inquired, still somewhat bewildered.

"Uh... this is everyone," Samba's secretary gestured toward Bai Xiaosheng and his two companions.

In an instant, Deputy Mayor Tori and the rest gaped in stunned silence.

"Only three? And they're so young!"
