While traveling to the Dragon Kingdom, Ellen and Jinx discuss their personal relationships and future ambitions. Their conversation is interrupted by a sudden, devastating ambush by two powerful fighters of the Devil Ruler: the Saint of Insect and the Saint of Monsters.

[Dragon Throne Hall]

The Dragon Throne Hall was a masterpiece of draconic architecture, forged entirely from indestructible obsidian and gilded with the molten gold of active volcanoes. At the window of the vast, echoing chamber stood the Dragon Emperor, Ladon. Despite his terrifying reputation across the Fifth Realm, he currently wore his human form—a towering, devastatingly handsome figure who looked entirely distracted.

"Dragon Emperor, we have arranged everything for the meeting with the Princesses." A dragoness said, bowing Respectfully at Ladon. Her scales shimmered in the ambient light, her posture radiating absolute reverence.

Ladon nodded, his human eyes fixed outside the massive, arched window, staring intently at the bustling city Gate miles away in the distance.

"When will they arrive? And is Princess Jinx with them?" He asked, his voice betraying a hint of uncharacteristic anxiety. For a being who commanded the skies, the mere thought of Jinx reduced him to a nervous suitor.

The woman slowly nodded her head: "Yes Emperor, she is with them."

"That's good then! Go and prepare the most expensive gifts, dresses and food! I can't disappoint her!!" Ladon ordered, his imposing aura momentarily forgotten as panic and excitement warred within him.

"Eh?" The woman was completely dumbfounded, staring at their Emperor in shock. This was the tyrant of the skies, demanding dresses and lavish treats like a flustered mortal.

"You--"

Ladon paused mid-sentence. His pupils instantly slitted into vertical, golden reptilian voids as his sensory range pierced through the fabric of the Great World.

'That is her energy...' His heart leaped, but the feeling was instantly crushed by a freezing wave of dread:

'Wait, what are those two strange energies? They aren't from this world and also aren't my people, are they enemies?!'

Without even wasting a single second, the sheer panic of losing his beloved overpowered all logic. He shot out from the heavy glass window, shattering it into millions of glittering shards. As he fell, two gigantic, obsidian black wings erupted violently from his back, blocking out the sun, and he shot forward with insane, space-tearing speed, leaving a speechless, and flabbergasted Advisor behind in the ruined throne room.

"What just happened?" She asked herself, staring blankly at the shattered glass.

___

[At the Center of the Forest Path]

The serene atmosphere of the ancient forest had been entirely consumed by the oppressive, corrupted malice radiating from the Devil Ruler's elite fighters.

"Are you two, dogs of the Devil Ruler?" Jinx asked, her tone completely freezing over as her lethal, cursed daggers appeared flawlessly in both hands. Her relaxed demeanor was gone, replaced by the instinctual grace of a deadly assassin.

"Dogs? That's an amazing concept." The Saint of Insect said, a sickeningly sweet smile on her face as highly venomous, mutated insects moved erratically around her face and wove through her matted hair.

"You are here to assassinate us, do you have the strength?!" Ellen asked, stepping forward defensively as her long, brilliantly glowing light sword appeared in her hand.

"So annoying."

WHOOSH!!

The shadows of the surrounding trees suddenly elongated and detached from the ground. Countless shadowy figures flew out from the tree lines, landing flawlessly in front of the three. These twenty figures were the Shadow Guards—elite fighters personally trained by Sunny, specifically bound to watch over Ellen's life.

"How dare you attack the Princesses?!" Alexandra, the vice captain of the Shadow Guards, yelled, pointing her sword directly at the two Saints.

"Oh, are these the people the Lord told us about?" The Saint of monsters asked, as she turned to her second with a bored expression.

"Yep, seems the memories of those bodies' didn't go to waste." The Saint of Insect muttered, licking her pale lips.

"Okay, we aren't here to fight, remember our goal." The Saint of monsters brought out a pulsating, highly volatile green ball of condensed, necrotic light, and without a shred of hesitation, threw it directly at the twenty shadow guards.

"Protect the Princesses!" Alexandra yelled with unyielding loyalty, and the twenty warriors shot forward in perfect unison, forming a defensive wall to block the unknown attack.

"Huh? They actually planned to stop it before it reached our targets, what bad luck!" the Saint of Insect grumbled, clicking her tongue in annoyance, and lazily snapped her fingers.

BOOOOM!

The green ball shattered with a deafening explosion, expanding instantly into a thick, suffocating cloud of Green gas that defied all magical defenses. It instantly smashed into the twenty elite guards. Without even a cry of pain, they all dropped heavily to the ground, completely unconscious and their spiritual energy locked.

"So frustrating, we just wasted that." the Saint of monsters said coldly, reaching into the spatial void and bringing out the second green ball.

"What happened to them?" Perran yelled at them, his heart racing as he watched twenty fall in less than a second.

"Nothing much." the Saint of monsters said, and shot towards them with blinding speed, the glowing green ball tightly gripped in her hand, ready to finish the harvest.

"Presumptuous!!" Perran stated, his aura exploding outward as he braced for a desperate clash.

But before he could even move a muscle, the sky tore open. A massive, terrifying figure dropped from the heavens like a blazing meteor, and smashed right between the two groups with the force of a falling moon.

BOOOOM!

The resulting shockwave tore up the earth, entirely uprooting ancient trees. The force threw the Saint of monsters violently backward: "Who is this now?"

She muttered, digging her heels into the dirt, staring into the thick cloud of dust and smoke with a slight, wary frown.

"...?!"

Everyone watched in absolute awe as Ladon walked casually out from the smoke. His massive wings were gone, retracted back into his human form, but his golden, draconian gaze was fixed on the two Saints with murderous intent.

"Ladon?"

The three were completely stunned by his miraculous arrival. But before they could even process their thoughts, Ladon instantly bypassed the laws of space and appeared directly before Jinx. He began moving his anxious gaze all over her body, quickly circling her like a frantic mother bird, checking for any minuscule injuries.

"...?!"

Perran and Ellen stood some distance from the two, lowering their weapons slightly, both utterly speechless at the Dragon Emperor's total lack of dignity.

"You can stop now! I am alright!!" Jinx yelled at him, her face flushing bright red with a mixture of embarrassment and secret relief.

"Phew, that's good." Ladon said with a bright, foolishly happy smile, the terrifying pressure of his realm completely vanishing when he looked at her.

"Who is this? He is so powerful." the Saint of Insect said with a slight frown, taking a cautious step back as her insects began to screech in fear.

"Yes, he is a realm ruler who has created his world... No one said such a person will be here." the Saint of Monsters added, realizing they had just walked into a fatal variable.

"What should we do? We can't back down." the Saint of Insect muttered, and exhaled a toxic breath:

"Seems we have to go all out, and also activate the formation." She whispered, her eyes hardening with suicidal resolve.

"We don't have a choice."

The two dark Saints raised their hands in perfect synchrony, and bit deeply into their fingers, drawing their corrupted, blackish-red blood, then brutally smashed their bleeding palms onto the ground.

BOOOOM!!

The earth fractured as a glowing, blood-red array of forbidden cosmic runes spread out beneath their feet.

"...?!"

The four turned to the two in absolute shock, and disbelief, realizing the enemy was sacrificing their own life forces.

"Die!!"

The Saint of Insect and the Saint of monsters yelled in unified, manic unison. From the center of the bloody array, a terrifying, conceptual arrow made of concentrated red poison materialized and shot directly towards Ellen with the speed of light.

"No!!!"

Jinx didn't think. Driven by absolute, sisterly devotion, she viciously bit her own hand, drawing blood. The next moment, the spatial laws of the universe bent to her will, and she and Ellen instantaneously switched positions, shocking everyone present.

BAM!!

The deadly arrow smashed violently into Jinx's shoulder, and shattered upon impact. The horrific, burning poison forcefully entered her bloodstream, turning her veins a sickly black.

PUFF!

Jinx vomited a massive mouthful of dark blood, collapsing to her knees as she desperately gripped her burning shoulder.

"You bastards!!!" Ladon screamed, his voice distorting into a deafening, apocalyptic dragon's roar. A catastrophic wave of primordial draconic energy burst out from his core, smashing mercilessly into the two Saints, entirely bypassing their defenses and instantly shattering them into a mist of blood and bone. Just like that, the formidable Saint of Insect and the Saint of Monsters were violently Killed.

Ladon ignored his kill, instantly moving towards Jinx and catching her fragile body before she fell on the cold ground.

"Sister---" Ellen cried out, tears welling in her eyes as she ran forward.

"Hahahah!"

The haunting, echoing voices of the Saint of monsters' and the Saint of Insect's souls suddenly sounded all over the devastated clearing, laced with mocking victory.

"By killing us, you activated the formation! You four are dead!!"

BOOOOM!!

The blood array on the ground overloaded. The surrounding spatial fabric violently cracked open, revealing a dark, swirling void, and instantly sucked the paralyzed Jinx and the desperate Ladon inside its depths.

"Watch out, Ellen!!" Perran roared, abandoning all caution as he threw his body forward, rushing towards Ellen.

But it was too late. The gravitational pull of the spatial tear latched onto them, and the space violently sucked both of them into the dark abyss. As the rift snapped shut with a hollow pop, the surrounding forest quieted down, leaving nothing but broken trees and silence behind.
