Immortality Through Array Formations Chapter 2062 Chapter 983: Deity's Dao Transmission (Part 3)
Previously on Immortality Through Array Formations...
Lord Yellow Mountain answered, "Occasionally, yes."
Mo Hua told him, "Hold on a moment." Stepping outside the temple, he snapped a branch and carved it into the likeness of a miniature sword.
Following this, Mo Hua pressed a hand to his forehead, using his Divine Thought to condense a trace of Sword Intent.
Though this strand of Sword Intent was still unrefined, the potent killing intent it radiated was nearly physical, causing Lord Yellow Mountain to shiver with dread.
Mo Hua imbued the wooden sword with the Sword Intent before hanging it above the temple entrance.
To a casual observer, it appeared to be nothing more than a crude wooden toy.
However, should any malicious spirits or hostile intruders draw near, it would transform into a terrifying "decapitation sword."
"With my sword suspended here, most evil spirits will not dare to approach," Mo Hua remarked.
Lord Yellow Mountain looked deeply at Mo Hua, his heart overflowing with gratitude. He bowed low and said, "I am deeply in your debt; as a Minor God, I shall remember this forever."
Mo Hua dismissed the formality with a wave of his hand. "As I’ve said, we are good friends. There is no need for such ceremony with me."
"It is time for me to return to the Sect. I’ll visit you again when I have the chance."
Gazing at the small wooden sword dangling from the beam, Mo Hua gave a satisfied nod, waved to Lord Yellow Mountain, and departed with a light heart.
The sun was setting over the desolate temple of Kushan.
Accompanied by Xun Ziyou, Mo Hua descended the twisting mountain trail, draped in the golden light of dusk.
Lord Yellow Mountain watched Mo Hua’s receding figure, his mind flooded with emotion.
He never could have guessed that eight years ago, the young Cultivator who had climbed the mountain alone at night and stumbled into his temple would become the greatest "fortune" of his entire existence...
...
Returning to the Sect by the light of the moon.
Mo Hua spent the entire night practicing the Reversed Spirit Formation. At dawn the following day, Zheng Fang arrived to see him once more, delivering a letter as he spoke:
"Junior Brother, my great-uncle is set to return to Zhen State in three days."
Mo Hua was startled. "Elder Zheng is leaving?"
"Indeed," Zheng Fang confirmed with a nod. "My great-uncle has already stepped down from his position as an Elder at the Qian Taoist Sect and has already stayed longer than intended. Now that the end of the year is near, some family matters have surfaced, and his return is mandatory."
"Before he departs, he wishes to see Junior Brother one last time, perhaps to entrust you with something."
Mo Hua felt a pang of regret and replied, "I understand. I will go and pay my respects to Elder Zheng."
"Very well, Junior Brother, I shall take my leave now."
Having delivered the message, Zheng Fang departed.
Mo Hua reflected for a moment. Since Elder Zheng was returning to his clan, it was better to visit him sooner to ensure no last-minute complications prevented their meeting.
Consequently, he went to visit Elder Zheng at midday.
Elder Zheng was staying in a temporary cave dwelling he had rented within Taixu City.
When Mo Hua arrived, he found Elder Zheng packing his things. Upon seeing Mo Hua, the Elder beamed with happiness and immediately instructed a servant to bring tea. They sat together in the courtyard of the cave dwelling, sharing tea and conversation.
"Elder Zheng, are you truly heading back to your clan?" Mo Hua asked softly after taking a sip of tea.
"Yes," Elder Zheng sighed. "My stay here has been far too long, and recent developments within the clan require my presence. I must be back before the festivals begin."
Mo Hua looked visibly saddened.
Elder Zheng was a man of integrity, a master of Formations, and had always shown him great kindness. He had answered every question thoroughly, serving as a mentor Mo Hua deeply respected.
Now that Elder Zheng was leaving, Mo Hua felt a heavy sense of reluctance.
Elder Zheng also looked at Mo Hua in silence, feeling his own sense of regret.
He had never imagined that after years of teaching at the Qian Taoist Sect, he would fail to find a single disciple he truly valued.
Only after resigning and preparing to go home did he finally encounter Mo Hua.
Had he known sooner, he would have sought an Elder position at Taixu Gate instead.
In that case, he could have officially become Mo Hua’s "Elder" and passed down all his knowledge of Formations to him.
A feeling of loss washed over Elder Zheng.
He looked at Mo Hua again, but as he observed the boy, Elder Zheng suddenly stiffened and frowned.
Even though the Tai Xu Yin Yang Lock obscured Mo Hua's aura, as a Formation Master in the Feather Transformation Realm, he could still faintly detect that Mo Hua’s Divine Sense had become significantly more powerful than before...
"Has your Divine Sense actually strengthened?"
"That shouldn't be possible..."
"You were already at the peak of the Nineteen-Pattern level. Any higher and wouldn't that reach the Twenty-Pattern Golden Core level? Foundation Building Cultivation, yet a Divine Thought Formation?"
Elder Zheng shook his head, finding the notion preposterous even to himself.
He pulled several pre-prepared Jade Slips from his Storage Bag.
"I have recorded fundamental knowledge of Original Magnetism and advanced Thunder Magnetism Formations within these Jade Slips. If you wish to study them later, you may do so."
"I have also compiled various Formation Diagrams. These may differ from the inheritance of your Taixu Gate, providing you with a valuable point of comparison."
"Furthermore, there are several personal insights regarding Formations..."
...
One by one, Elder Zheng passed these treasures to Mo Hua.
Looking at the collection of Jade Slips and texts, Mo Hua was filled with profound gratitude.
Elder Zheng offered earnest advice:
"The Great Dao is without borders, and the path of Formations is endless. You must remain diligent in your studies and persevere. There are no shortcuts when it comes to Formations; steady persistence is the only road. Only those who never surrender can truly travel far..."
These simple-sounding warnings were the most steadfast truths, forged through his many years of Tao Cultivation.
"Also, if the opportunity ever arises, visit Zhen State and come to my Zheng Family..." Elder Zheng added.
"Yes!" Mo Hua nodded with great seriousness. "I will keep that in heart!"
A smile finally touched Elder Zheng’s normally stern face.
He then drew upon his own life experiences to explain various taboos regarding Formations, cultivation, and the path of Tao, as well as the potential dangers Mo Hua might face in the Cultivation World in the future.
Elder Zheng spoke with great detail, and Mo Hua listened with absolute focus. Without noticing, half the day slipped away.
The sun began its slow descent, painting the sky in the colors of evening.
Realizing how late it had become, Elder Zheng prepared to say goodbye to Mo Hua with a hint of sadness.
Mo Hua also understood it was time to depart.
However, just as he was about to leave, Elder Zheng suddenly halted him. His expression turned grave, and he seemed to hesitate over whether to speak.
Perhaps he realized that if the words weren't spoken now, he might never have another chance to tell Mo Hua.
Elder Zheng eventually made up his mind. With a flick of his wrist, he triggered a Formation. Light flared, sealing the cave dwelling and cutting off all sound and sight from the outside world.
"Mo Hua," Elder Zheng said, his face etched with seriousness, "The things I am about to tell you must not be repeated to anyone else. Do not speak of this casually."
Mo Hua was stunned, then gave a solemn nod.
Elder Zheng acknowledged his response and then asked slowly:
"Have you ever heard of... the Great Demon Hall?"
