Immortality Through Array Formations Chapter 2027 Chapter 972: Divine Statue (Part 2)

Previously on Immortality Through Array Formations...
Mr. Tu is consumed by panic and confusion following the mysterious disappearance of the Divine Lord’s embryo from the nightmare. Suspecting that he inadvertently invited a "wolf into the house," he blames the unconscious Elder Xun Ziyou for the deity's fall and moves to execute him. To protect the elder, Mo Hua cleverly shifts the blame for Shen Qingsheng’s death onto Mr. Tu, triggering a vengeful and bloody confrontation with the grieving Shen Shouxing. Amidst the chaotic battle between the two powerful combatants, Mo Hua desperately attempts to rouse the weakened Elder Xun before they are all caught in the crossfire.

Mo Hua was filled with joy, "Elder Xun, you're awake?"

Elder Xun’s Sea of Consciousness remained a muddled mess. His head felt as if it were splitting apart from the pain, and though he wished to speak, he found himself unable to open his mouth.

Mo Hua spoke up quickly, "Don't speak, quickly adjust your breath..."

Accepting Mo Hua's advice, Elder Xun gave a nod. He focused inward on his meridians to regulate his Spiritual Power, gradually suppressing the agony within his Sea of Consciousness.

Mo Hua let out a long breath of relief.

It was a relief that he had regained consciousness...

With Elder Xun awake, his own safety was finally guaranteed.

Otherwise, that Mr. Tu—who had transformed into a human-demon—might actually have succeeded in killing him.

"We also need to wake up Master Gu and Master Fan..."

Scanning the area, Mo Hua located Master Gu and Fan Jin. He used the same tactic as before, tugging on their ears and shouting repeatedly until they finally stirred.

"Young Master Mo..."

Master Gu also suffered from sharp, stinging pains in his Sea of Consciousness.

Even though they had escaped, the various terrors of the nightmare had left a heavy mark on their Divine Sense.

"Shh..." Mo Hua signaled for silence. He glanced back at the fierce struggle between Shen Shouxing and Mr. Tu before whispering, "Let's slip away first."

Xun Ziyou and the two others joined Mo Hua, and together they stealthily exited the Divine Temple.

Mr. Tu witnessed their departure and wanted to intercept them, but Shen Shouxing was formidable and consumed by a thirst for vengeance. Intent on killing him, Shen Shouxing attacked with everything he had, leaving Mr. Tu no room to pull away.

Furthermore, Xun Ziyou was now conscious.

The perfect window to destroy the bodies and silence the witnesses had already passed.

If Xun Ziyou had truly mastered the Divine Thought into Sword True Jue, then Mr. Tu was certainly no match for this enigmatic Sword Dao Elder of the Taixu Gate.

Mr. Tu could only watch with resentment as Mo Hua and his group vanished.

The group successfully reached the safety of the area outside the Divine Temple.

"Are we really just leaving?" Xun Ziyou inquired.

Mo Hua felt a flicker of hesitation.

He had only managed to copy half of the Four Symbols Green Dragon Evil Formation from Shen Tuao's body before the sudden arrival of the human-demon interrupted him.

That human-demon was none other than Mr. Tu.

By now, Mr. Tu had flayed the skin from Shen Tuao after completing his transformation.

The entirety of the Four Symbols Green Dragon Evil Formation was now in Mr. Tu's possession.

This was clearly a long-standing scheme of Mr. Tu’s, and he had finally obtained the prize he sought.

To acquire that Formation Diagram, Mo Hua would have to seize it back from Mr. Tu.

However, he was reluctant to turn back and get dragged into that chaos once more.

Mr. Tu was far too bizarre.

Even Shen Shouxing had descended into madness.

If they stayed entangled with those two, there was no telling what disasters might follow...

So many lives had been claimed by this Solitary Mountain tomb; simply escaping alive was a triumph in itself.

"When it's time to act and you don't, chaos will ensue..."

Mo Hua clenched his teeth and declared, "Let's go!"

Following their experiences in the nightmare, Xun Ziyou no longer viewed Mo Hua as just a common Foundation Establishment disciple.

In such a supernatural crisis, he placed even more trust in Mo Hua's instincts.

Xun Ziyou nodded, "Alright."

The group retreated from the great hall, following their original path back through the outer courtyard.

The outskirts of the hall were decorated with rows of magnificent and grand statues representing Lord Yellow Mountain.

Suddenly struck by a realization, Mo Hua halted abruptly, his heart racing.

A Divine Statue?!

"Lord Yellow Mountain instructed me to leave this Solitary Mountain tomb—the den of the Evil God—and take his Lifebound Divine Statue with me, didn't he?!"

Mo Hua furrowed his brows in deep concentration.

A Lifebound Divine Statue is the very core of a deity's existence.

Each one is unique and irreplaceable.

If a Lifebound Divine Statue were destroyed, it could lead to God Destroying Path Obliteration, the total collapse of one's Great Dao, or at the very least, a catastrophic injury to the Origin and a massive loss of Vital Energy...

Such a vital object is usually kept hidden from everyone.

For a god, the only thing more precious than Divine Marrow would be the Lifebound Divine Statue!

The reason Lord Yellow Mountain hadn't spoken of it plainly was likely to avoid revealing heavenly secrets, fearing that other beings or deities might trace the cause and effect to seize his roots.

Mo Hua's heart shivered slightly.

"But where would the Mountain Lord hide his Lifebound Divine Statue?"

Mo Hua looked up, surveying the Divine Temple.

The area was crowded with countless statues of the Mountain God in various poses and attires.

Some stood tall, others sat or reclined; some were clad in golden armor or elegant robes, while others wore scholarly clothes or heavy cloaks...

"Is the Lifebound Divine Statue of Lord Yellow Mountain concealed among these?"

He realized the vast number of statues wasn't for show, but a precaution against a coming disaster—a way to "hide a tree in the forest." By using these numerous "false statues," he could prevent his "Lifebound Divine Statue" from being found by enemies.

The more Mo Hua considered it, the more plausible it seemed.

"Mo Hua, what's wrong?" Xun Ziyou asked, noticing the boy standing frozen in thought.

After a moment of silence, Mo Hua said, "Elder Xun, I need your help to find a specific Divine Statue."

"A Divine Statue?"

"Yes," Mo Hua confirmed.

Since Mr. Tu and Shen Shouxing were occupied with their life-and-death struggle, there was still a window of time. He had to find Lord Yellow Mountain's Lifebound Divine Statue and remove it from this tomb.

This was the final request entrusted to him by Lord Yellow Mountain before his passing.

Lord Yellow Mountain had protected and saved him within the nightmare.

If the deity hadn't sacrificed himself to destroy the Evil Embryo, none of them would have ever escaped.

The events at Solitary Mountain involved deep schemes and high stakes with many unknown factors.

If he didn't look for it now, he might never get another chance once they left the temple.

Lord Yellow Mountain’s Lifebound Divine Statue would be lost forever, buried beneath the mass grave of Solitary Mountain.

Furthermore, the deity had bestowed a "great gift" upon him.

Both out of gratitude and duty, he had to find that statue.

Seeing the determination in Mo Hua's eyes, Xun Ziyou chose not to press for details. He nodded and asked:
