Luo Chen prepares to escape the treacherous Soul Island and the constraints of the Netherworld Sea by refining the Ten Thousand Array Gu for protection. Despite his anxiety over the unknown fate of his companion, the Black King, he braves the turbulent waves using his controlled Withering and Flourishing Divine Fire. After an initial failed attempt to navigate the sea, he discovers the massive Ghost Immortal Tower emerging from the depths, its haunting illusions failing to hinder his concentration.

Even in a recumbent position, it towered dozens of zhang into the air!

Its elephant-like lower appendages stretched for several hundred zhang, plunging deep into the murky Netherworld Sea.

Tracing the massive frame upward, colossal tentacles branched out from the primary torso.

Luo Chen immediately identified these as belonging to the legendary King Squid, a fierce demon beast of the North Sea.

The Ghost Immortal Tower was known to prey on the King Squid; it would intentionally retain these appendages after feeding, and over time, similar stalks would manifest on its own anatomy.

However, the once-fearsome tentacles now appeared mangled and strewn about, the vast majority severed in a pathetic display of carnage.

Witnessing this sight, a wave of trepidation washed over Luo Chen.

The Ghost Immortal Tower he had witnessed previously was merely a late Fourth Order entity.

Yet rumors from the North Sea’s Human and Demon War insisted that the creature had advanced to the Fifth Order, rivaling the strength of a Divine Transformation Great Power.

If a Fourth Order variant was frightening, one could hardly fathom the destructive capability of a Fifth Order beast.

To think such a behemoth had met such a grim end—the intensity of the battle in Zhongzhou must have been absolutely cataclysmic.

What kind of terrifying force could have possibly decimated the Ghost Immortal Tower?

Swallowing hard, Luo Chen shifted his gaze toward the creature’s crown.

Two hollow depressions marred its tumor-like head.

These were the remnants of the eye sockets, once the nesting grounds for the parasitic Blood Lanterns.

Currently, they were nothing more than dark, sunken voids, devoid of any luster.

"A Fifth Order Great Desolate entity, reduced to this state?"

Breathing a sigh, Luo Chen cautiously considered approaching the carcass.

This was the precise reason he had shelved his plans to depart.

The remains of a Desolate Beast were treasures of immense rarity within the Mountain Sea Realm.

Regardless of their intended purpose, their value was indisputable.

Specifically, if he harvested the skin, flesh, and bones of this corpse to construct a Magic Boat, his journey out of these treacherous waters would be exponentially easier.

Yet, just as he initiated his approach, the purportedly lifeless corpse erupted in a sudden flicker of crimson light.

Luo Chen retreated instantly without a moment's hesitation.

Furthermore, the Ten Thousand Array Gu hidden on his person pulsed with Spirit Light, draping him in a cloak of concealment arrays.

Only after putting a significant distance between them did Luo Chen halt his advance.

Glancing back, the monumental corpse began to convulse with a disturbing, rhythmic twitching.

A massive, tumorous lump upon its head began to swell and rise.

Suddenly!

Pop...The bloated sac ruptured, and an object reminiscent of a small, malformed doll crawled forth.

Possessing stunted limbs and an alarmingly thin neck, the entity was dominated by a disproportionately large head.

It sat motionless atop the Ghost Immortal Tower’s cranium, seemingly disoriented, before its gaze finally settled upon the beach.

It opened its maw, and black gravel began to levitate toward it.

"Crunch, crunch.""Crunch, crunch."

The rhythmic sound of mastication echoed out, and its previously waning vital essence began to stabilize and surge.

Luo Chen was stunned by the sight.

"So this is the true essence of the Ghost Immortal Tower?""It possesses the ability to consume soul stones directly!""Furthermore, it seems well-acquainted with this environment; it clearly recognized the properties of the soul stones and began feeding the moment it emerged."

Reflecting on this, Luo Chen sank deeper into his self-concealment.

The reason was simple; he had already scavenged the majority of the soul stones from that stretch of beach.

Only a sparse few remained.

The large-headed entity seemed to realize this scarcity, and after devouring the remaining stones to no avail, it began to wail like a newborn.

It scrambled down from the corpse with great difficulty, desperately seeking more sustenance.

Abruptly!

It hoisted its bulbous head toward the horizon.

The Netherworld Sea remained turbulent as always, showing no anomalies.

Yet, genuine fear flickered within its black eyes.

Seeming to reach a sudden resolution, it turned and darted toward Soulbreak Cliff.

Watching from afar, Luo Chen felt his eyelid twitch in involuntary spasm.

An inexplicable event occurred.

The doll-like creature collided with the cliffside and simply vanished, merging seamlessly into the stone.

All signs of life within the area were immediately extinguished.

Luo Chen inhaled deeply, as several theories formulated in his mind.

"Could Soulbreak Cliff be the ancestral birthplace of the Ghost Immortal Tower? Did the cliff traverse thousands of miles to Zhongzhou simply to return this creature to its origin?"

Luo Chen could not be certain of this deduction, but the ease with which the entity dissolved into the rock supported such an idea.

More importantly, he felt a rising sense of alarm—what exactly was lurking within the Netherworld Sea that struck such primal terror into the Ghost Immortal Tower?

Luo Chen began to pull back, retreating toward a secluded refuge he had discovered years prior.

Even so, his eyes remained locked on the churning surface of the Netherworld Sea, searching for any sign of movement.

In the haze, he could almost perceive a bone vessel traversing the tides.

...Whoosh!A White Bone Magical Boat carved through the heavy, turbid waves as it arrived from the east.

Two graceful figures stood at the prow, their garments billowing against the wind as they scanned the horizon.

The woman in the lead exuded a sense of calm, her demeanor remarkably serene.

Eyeing the jagged pinnacle in the distance, she whispered, "Is that truly the fabled Soulbreak Cliff?"

The colder woman standing behind her responded indifferently, "This is the site chosen as your own burial ground."

The beautiful woman let out a soft sigh, "If not for the directives of the main Sect, why would I desire a battle to the death with you? Even if we were to clash, remember that you are severely injured. Victory is not a certainty for you."

The stoic woman remained silent.

The beautiful woman offered a helpless smile.

"Qing Shuang, if you would only submit to our Tianyuan Daoist Sect, I could spare your life following this duel. If you chose to serve over Zhongzhou..."

As she uttered the name of the region, her tone wavered with a hint of melancholy.

She composed herself and added, "Should you guard the Tianyuan Daoist Sect for five hundred years, our main Sect from the Mystic Realm could pave the path for your ascent to the Upper Realm. I, Chun Yuan, pledge my word on it!"

Qing Shuang let out a cold laugh, offering no rebuttal.

Chun Yuan did not press the issue further, merely mourning the fractured bond between them.

She shifted her focus to Soulbreak Cliff, her expression hardening in anticipation.

Whether this location would serve as the optimal ambush site envisioned by the Sect Master, or the grave for the Five Elders of Tianyuan as Qing Shuang predicted, would soon be decided.

Suddenly, her eyes locked onto the skeletal remains of the collapsed tower.

"The Ghost Immortal Tower?""How fortuitous that the fleeing beast met its end here."

The White Bone Magical Boat accelerated, slicing through the murky surf until it reached the barren shore.

Stepping onto the island, Chun Yuan unleashed her divine consciousness.

To her surprise, it struggled to extend even a few hundred miles, constrained by the environment.

"The rumors regarding the suppression of divine souls at Soulbreak Cliff appear to be factual."

Muttering to herself, she approached the colossal corpse of the beast.

After a brief examination, she felt entirely relieved.

The Ghost Immortal Tower was indeed dead, leaving behind nothing but a carcass on Soul Island.

She turned to the taller woman, a slight smile playing on her lips.

"The Qi Xia Emperor attempted to ambush our Sect with the Four Great Wild Beasts and Nine Great Ghost Gods. She paid dearly in blood—the Ghost Gods are annihilated, one of the Four Wild Beasts is dead, another wounded, and a third has fled. Even the Ghost Immortal Tower is rotting here."

"The strength of our Daoist Sect is far beyond your limited perception."

"Do you still entertain the delusion that your sister remains a threat?"

Qing Shuang remained stoic, but the light in her eyes visibly faded.

She had not participated in the main skirmish, having been occupied with suppressing Tianyuan Daoist Sect forces in the Eastern Wasteland. However, it appeared her sister had tragically underestimated the depth of their opponent's strength.

If the Five Elders of Tianyuan truly intended to use her as bait to ensnare the Qi Xia Emperor, the repercussions were unthinkable.

Observing her distress, Chun Yuan’s anxiety dissipated.

Summoning her Qi, she levitated Qing Shuang toward the ridge above.

She moved ahead to designate the battlefield for her allies.

Meanwhile, hidden deep within a crevice at the base of the cliff, Luo Chen was utterly rattled.

The woman’s divine consciousness had missed his position, but he had observed enough by interpreting her lips to understand the gravity of the situation.

That, however, was irrelevant now!

The pressing question remained: how had Soulbreak Cliff become the center of a Divine Transformation-level confrontation, and was there any possible way for him to survive the coming storm?
