Immortality begin with Alchemy Grandmaster Chapter 2620 - 966: Fierce Battle! (Part 2)
Previously on Immortality begin with Alchemy Grandmaster...
"Is it truly capable of withstanding every kind of assault?" Luo Chen inquired.
A grin spread across Master Li Tian's face, "Feel free to give it a go!"
Alright, time to test it out!
Without hesitation, Luo Chen got straight to it, his left hand quickly forming a seal that sent the Phoenix Bird flying upward, as his right hand delivered a powerful Mountain Splitting Stone Breaking blow.
Employing both his left and right hands at once, he blended spell techniques with martial arts prowess.
The sight made Master Li Tian's heart tremble in secret.
Naturally, the outcome stayed within what he had predicted.
Once the dual strikes had been unleashed, no sound came back; they simply vanished into nothingness.
"What do you think?" he inquired, smiling.
Luo Chen offered no reply, instead sinking into quiet thought.
Noticing his silence, catching Hong Ye's cries, and seeing Meng Shentong flee in panic, Master Li Tian burst into laughter.
"Therefore, it's best if you give up!"
Both Hong and Meng appeared swayed by the words.
While pondering, Luo Chen abruptly interjected, "If it's really that powerful, then why didn't you, in your earlier fury, take the chance to keep pushing forward? Why halt so suddenly right after that single sword slash?"
"I..."
"You're just bluffing!" Luo Chen's tone sharpened suddenly, "That talk of vanishing is nothing but empty words. Truth is, it's all about your swarm of Gu insects soaking it up and breaking it down. If we hit hard enough, just how much could your Wind-Ripple Pavilion actually handle?"
Master Li Tian kept his face impassive, "Why not give it a shot?"
Luo Chen always had plenty of curiosity for testing things.
Sword Qi danced at the tips of his fingers yet stayed within his form; like a swift arrow, he shot toward Master Li Tian.
Upon witnessing this, Master Li Tian quickly grasped that his foe had subtly uncovered certain flaws in the Wind-Ripple Pavilion.
Strikes that remained inside the body couldn't be taken in.
Yet what really shocked him was...
"How come the Corpse Rot Poison has no effect on you?"
Swish!
The sword came slicing down; Master Li Tian twisted aside to evade, his gaze brimming with shock.
True to Luo Chen's nature, he avoided revealing his hidden edges in combat by answering such probes, though when he did talk, it often aimed to unsettle the mind.
However, this fight wasn't solely his own.
Sword Qi gathered in his grasp, paired with his loud declarations.
"You held back your anger to let the Corpse Rot Poison wear down me and Hong Ye, to let Meng Shentong's will to fight shatter entirely."
"With three of us versus one in open combat, why should we be afraid at all?"
While saying this, Luo Chen activated Moon Step, his figure carving an odd curve through the sky, Sword Qi tearing through the emptiness, his bare palm striking right after.
Sword and palm working together caught Master Li Tian unprepared, forcing him to defend desperately.
Boom!
The overwhelming power sent his body plummeting earthward like a falling star.
Right where the Black Coffin lay, a massive crater formed.
Hovering above, Luo Chen gazed downward, his locks whipping in the wind, his gaze profound and intense.
"Why are you two so afraid to fight?"
"Even if magic items can't be released outside, they can still grow or shrink, definitely not swayed by this pointless Wind-Ripple Pavilion."
His words jolted Hong and Meng awake.
Out of the crater, a silhouette burst forth abruptly.
The trio's assaults converged at the same time.
Sleeves fluttered wildly, the massive Great Seal bore down, and the wavy long knife unveiled its real shape, slicing through the atmosphere.
Confronted by the triple onslaught, the silhouette darted with astonishing swiftness, evading the Great Seal, the sleeves failing to snare it, then dashing back along the sheer, wave-patterned blade.
In that instant, it looked to Meng Shentong like a horrifying four-limbed beast, its multifaceted eyes spinning wildly.
Terror gripped his core; he triggered the Vacuum Gu inside, vanishing into the emptiness.
But the beast was lightning-quick, its arm-like blades thrusting into the nothing, impaling his form via the blade's grip.
Trailing right behind came three more bladed limbs.
Swish!
The quartet of limbs ripped apart, shredding Meng Shentong's frame into tattered fragments like a broken puppet.
Amid the void, a dazed Nascent Soul Little Figure emerged.
On reflex, it tried to flee, yet an awful binding power pressed from every direction, trapping it like in thick mud, immobile.
Swish!
A blade came sweeping in!
The Nascent Soul Little Figure crumbled right away; prior to the vast Qi Power of the Nascent Soul exploding, the horde of Gu insects from the Wind-Ripple Pavilion drained and consumed it all.
Though the tale takes time to tell, it all erupted in the blink when the three struck.
At last, the silhouette pivoted gradually, locking its stare on Luo Chen.
Luo Chen's eyes narrowed a bit, whispering four words, "Ghost Cry Evil Locust!"
Next, he hid away the Sword Qi on his finger, exposing a crimson sword edge.
"Who would've thought the notorious Master Li Tian also masters Body Refining Technique?"
Master Li Tian's clustered eyes, made up of myriad tiny ones, pinned on Luo Chen, his voice rasping out.
"I couldn't have guessed you'd advance the ’Hundred Poison Body Refining Technique’ to Completion Stage within a single year; not even my Corpse Rot Poison can touch you."
"Back when you passed the Death Gate, my palm strike caught you off guard, leaving some toxin on my skin, which I figured was mere luck."
"But now, it turns out that despite all my high regard for you, I've still not gauged you high enough!"
Clang!
He gripped the Yuan Tu Sword tightly.
A touch of relief washed over Luo Chen as he eyed the foe's full teal, bipedal, four-armed shape, his mind racing with ideas.
This foe's bodily shift bore a strange likeness to the ’Sky Roc Transformation’ he'd trained long ago, both being Class Demon Changes.
Yet their foundations varied greatly; the enemy probably relied on special transforming Gu insects to reach such strength.
Were this the Outer World, he'd have no worries.
Right now, though, the Yin Yang Tomb lay enveloped by the Wind-Ripple Pavilion, trapping them in the enemy's domain.
Within that short span, the Gu House Wind-Ripple Pavilion had not only shown its power to take in and process strikes but also unleashed a mysterious restraining might that flickered unpredictably.
