Mo Wuji is finally reunited with Cen Shuyin after a long separation, with Qu You silently retreating as she realizes she is not part of their reunion. Meanwhile, Luo reveals to Tai Luan and others that he discovered a primordial trap array 5 million years ago and has almost finished refining it to capture Mo Wuji. Back with Mo Wuji and Cen Shuyin, Qu You senses a danger as the array begins to be refined, prompting Mo Wuji to acknowledge that Luo has finally set his trap.

"Then what course of action should we take?" Qu You's pallor had lessened somewhat.

"Regardless of whether we can escape or not, we must make an attempt now." As Mo Wuji uttered these words, the primordial trap array began to emit rumbling noises. An external dao aura started to infiltrate the space. This time, Qu You wasn't the only one; even Cen Shuyin could perceive the imminent mortal danger.

Mo Wuji raised his hand and directed a punch towards the location where his Mortal Halberd was situated. The fabric of space vibrated, but ultimately, it remained unyielding.

A sinking feeling gripped Mo Wuji's heart. His strategy had failed.

He had positioned the Mortal Halberd at the entrance of the primordial trap array. His intention was to channel its power to rend open the array when he made contact. However, he couldn't even breach this barrier with a punch, let alone establish communication with his Mortal Halberd.

Upon activating his spiritual eye, Mo Wuji clearly observed the dao runes of the primordial array undergoing transformation. Given his understanding, he knew this signified that the dao runes were progressively being refined by an external force. If all the dao runes were fully refined, any prospect of escape would be extinguished.

Cen Shuyin and Qu You's abilities were far too limited. There was no question of them offering assistance; even if they exerted their full might, they wouldn't cause so much as a ripple within this confined space.

"Shuyin, Qu You, the instant you witness even a sliver of an opening, you must cast aside all restraint towards me and allow me to transport you away." Mo Wuji resolved to employ his Seven World Finger technique relentlessly against the primordial array. His aim was to create a minuscule tear, through which he could establish contact with his Mortal World and send Cen Shuyin and Qu You to safety.

Following that, he would commit all his power to confronting Luo.

"En, we understand." At this juncture, Cen Shuyin's thoughts were entirely consumed by Mo Wuji. She harbored a deep resentment for her own meager cultivation. If she were at the Quasi-Sage Stage, she might perhaps contribute in some small way to Mo Wuji's efforts.

Little did she know that even reaching the Quasi-Sage Stage wouldn't enable her to aid Mo Wuji in any substantial manner.

After issuing his instructions to Cen Shuyin and Qu You, Mo Wuji unleashed his Seven World Finger with fierce determination.

With the exception of the Seventh Finger, Returning Mortal, which remained beyond his grasp, the other six fingers had been employed numerous times. Nevertheless, regardless of which finger he utilized, or even if he consecutively employed all six, the combined power was insufficient to inflict any damage upon this primordial array.

Months elapsed. In addition to deploying various sacred arts, he even resorted to self-detonating attacks. Despite these extreme measures, the primordial space merely shuddered under the impact of his assaults; there was no indication of any breach.

Sensing Mo Wuji's mounting anxiety, Cen Shuyin approached him, took his arm, and softly said, "Wuji, if fate decrees we cannot depart, then let us remain here as husband and wife. Even a single day together would be preferable to an eternity of separation."

A tremor ran through Mo Wuji's heart. He ceased his efforts in manipulating array runes. A distant memory surfaced, vivid and poignant. He recalled an occasion with Xia Ruoyin, the two of them nestled together on the soil paths bordering paddy fields, serenely listening to the chirping of summer cicadas.

At that moment, all other concerns faded into insignificance. His sole desire was for the tranquility and warmth he felt in her presence. His thoughts then turned to Wen Xiaoqi. While he was embracing Xia Ruoyin, was that girl, who adored him with all her heart, watching from afar? Was she contemplating how content she would be to experience even a single day like that with him?

He had once believed that if he were to spend his time with Cen Shuyin, a brief period would undoubtedly be insufficient. Consequently, he was driven to continuously cultivate and extend his lifespan indefinitely, ideally to share an eternity together.

His spiritual eye opened once more. It was evident that this space was on the verge of complete refinement. At most, it would take a day or two; at the very least, the process could be finalized in the very next instant.

Given such limited time, even with his utmost effort, he would be unable to break free from this array.

If that was the reality, why was he squandering his precious time? Why not dedicate the remaining moments to Shuyin?

As Shuyin had expressed, since an eternal union was not possible, cherishing a single shared breath would suffice.

Clarity dawned upon Mo Wuji. He ceased manipulating array runes and gently clasped Shuyin's hands. His heart had found a profound sense of calm.

"Wuji, I harbor some regrets," Cen Shuyin confessed, her voice carrying a distant, whisper-like quality as she tightened her hold on him, their bodies seated on the ground.

"What regrets do you speak of?"

"Back on the Lost Continent, I lamented our separation. In hindsight, I should have departed with you then, I should have embraced the life of a rogue cultivator..."

"We were not as intimately acquainted then," Mo Wuji responded gently.

"If we had been together back then, perhaps our children would already be grown up..."

"Shuyin, it was my insistence. In truth, even if we were mortals with only a few decades to spend together, we could still find happiness. I cultivate the Mortal Dao, yet I failed to see this. Now, I have wasted months trying to break through this primordial trap array..."

"En..." Cen Shuyin wished to utter no more words. At this moment, being held in Mo Wuji’s embrace was the greatest joy in the world.

"Kacha!" Just as Mo Wuji spoke those words, something seemed to fracture within his Dao Laws. He had, at that instant, attained a profound enlightenment.

At this moment, his spiritual will was capable of piercing through this primordial array and reaching the vast cosmos beyond.

"I understand!" Mo Wuji suddenly stood. He clasped Cen Shuyin’s hand with one of his own. With the other hand, he extended a finger.

Seven World Finger’s Seventh Finger: Returning Mortal!

Billows of dao ripples emanated from this fingertip. This strike appeared to be the most supreme force in the entire universe, yet simultaneously, it seemed to be the most ordinary gesture in existence.

The universe is segmented into distinct planes; there exist higher realms and lower realms. This differentiation arises because one has not fully comprehended that particular realm. The moment one grasps that realm, then in their perception, everything becomes indistinguishable from the mortal plane.

A primordial trap array is merely a basic formation designed to ensnare cultivators. Once one transcends this level, such a primordial trap array ceases to command any real significance.

"Ka!" Under the impact of this single finger, a fissure finally appeared in the primordial trap array that had resisted his efforts for months.

Mo Wuji then glimpsed his Mortal Halberd.

"Haha! It has been refined completely. Everyone, attack together... Not good..." Just as Luo rallied his forces for an assault, he detected a breach within his meticulously refined primordial array.

A halberd light, capable of shattering the heavens, descended. It seemed poised to cleave the entirety of this universe in two.

"Boom! Kakaka!" The entire cosmos did indeed appear to be rent asunder. A terrifying chasm had formed.

"Everyone, attack simultaneously!" Luo bellowed in rage. His Sword of Fortune transformed into a celestial sword beam, lashing out towards Mo Wuji’s Mortal Halberd light.

"Big Brother Mo, I feel as though the entire universe is trembling. It seems as though all will be annihilated." Behind Mo Wuji, Qu You’s countenance had turned deathly pale.

"Hurry and enter..." With these few words, Mo Wuji raised his hand, ushering Qu You and Cen Shuyin into his Mortal World. In a conflict of this magnitude, the two could offer no assistance. Over a hundred experts were present, with the least powerful among them already at the Quasi-Sage Stage.

He could also discern the truth in Qu You’s words. While they were within space, he could distinctly perceive space itself fragmenting. It was as if all reality had become inherently unstable.

A world-altering tremor reverberated. The Sword of Fortune had collided with the Mortal Halberd. Their combined radiance splintered outwards in all directions.

As the light dispersed, minute tears began to manifest. Mo Wuji’s heart plummeted. He finally comprehended the nature of the World-Ending Cataclysm, and he knew it had arrived.

Including the very fabric of this universe, all planes would cease to exist. Indeed, when he extended his spiritual will, he could clearly observe cultivator planets disintegrating. Countless cultivators were cast adrift into the void. However, space itself was also collapsing. Once space had completely disintegrated, these cultivators would be lost forever.

Mo Wuji’s heart grew cold. Was this the World-Ending Cataclysm? This was utter annihilation. Even the universe itself was unraveling. What could possibly endure after this?

"The World-Ending Cataclysm looms. Everyone, seize this opportunity to eliminate him. Every supreme treasure of fortune upon his person can grant you survival through this World-Ending Cataclysm. We merely need to endure for a few billion years until a new primordial world takes shape..." Luo roared with frenzied intensity. His Sword of Fortune conjured myriad sword energies, commencing an assault to shatter Mo Wuji’s domain.

Mo Wuji’s heart quaked. Was Luo not several times more formidable than Tai Luan and the other Sages? Could Luo perhaps have ascended beyond the Sage Stage?

However, in this moment, he had no time for such contemplation. Including Luo Xu, Tai Luan, Qing Yuan, Fo Ti, Heng Zuo, and Yuan Jie, six Sage-level experts converged upon him. Simultaneously, there was a leader who had already surpassed the Sage Stage—Luo. And this was not all. More than a hundred Quasi-Sages and Great Circle Unity Gods were encircling him.

At this very instant, a barrage of sacred arts and a myriad of magic treasures were unleashed upon Mo Wuji. Furthermore, countless domains converged, solidifying this particular space to a degree far surpassing that of any resilient spatial plane.
