Recruits endured exhaustive push-up training, with Klein collapsing after ten thousand while Garp and Sengoku persisted through hundreds of thousands, revealing their superhuman stamina. The instructor rated their exceptional physical abilities and potential amid the trainees' stunned realizations of talent gaps. Klein schemed to share a dorm with Garp, Sengoku, and Zephyr, offering donuts to Garp as the bonding operation began.

Klein ran his fingers through his ponytail. Though it didn't reach the length of Spark Jabba's, he had nurtured it over many years.

Ka-cha— Ka-cha—

"Eh— This donut's really good. Thanks, Long-Hair Guy." Garp burst into a hearty laugh, obviously delighted by the donut.

Creak—

The dormitory door swung open.

"Afro?!"

"Goddamn Garp?!"

Garp and Sengoku stared daggers at one another, their gazes clashing with such ferocity that sparks seemed to fly.

"Seriously, why the hell am I sharing a room with you?!" Sengoku's brows furrowed sharply. He strode directly to the bed opposite Klein, irritation plain on his face.

"This one's mine."

Ending up in the same room? You have me to thank for that.

Klein grinned and spoke up, "Sengoku, looks like we're roommates. I'm Klein."

"Hmph." Sengoku gave a curt nod, his expression still grimacing.

He flopped onto his bed, but right away, Garp's loud donut-crunching grated on his nerves.

"Hey— Garp, you bastard! Can't you eat without that infernal racket?!"

"They're really good though. Want one?" Garp flashed a wide grin, holding out the bag to Sengoku.

Sengoku, seething with anger, got caught off guard by the unexpected kindness. He awkwardly turned his head. "No!"

"Hurry up and eat, and stop keeping me awake."

Before long, Zephyr, the last piece of the Iron Triangle, showed up. He and Klein talked briefly to break the ice, then the group prepared to sleep.

"Today… really was a day to remember."

In his bed, Klein pondered deeply—his natural talent doomed him to never achieve real power. Not unless he obtained a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit.

Nothing else could alter his destiny. Shatter the chains binding his body's limits.

Mythical Zoan fruits—rarer than Logia-types during the anime's early days. In later arcs? They popped up all over.

Still...

Snagging one? Tougher than hitting the jackpot.

His sole semi-plausible shot was Vegapunk's pink Artificial Azure Dragon Fruit. But that lay decades in the future.

'My entire life's course seems mapped out already…'

A surge of gloom washed over Klein. Despite starting alongside Garp, Sengoku, and Zephyr, he'd never match their might.

So...

Opting for a secure, tranquil existence—wedding seven or eight stunning ladies and idling like a wealthy lord at a branch outpost—perhaps that wasn't terrible.

Right as the idea crossed his mind, a crisp ding echoed inside his head.

[Ding!]

[Pirate Idle Game Loaded. Tap to enter.]

"????"

Momentarily, Klein suspected a dream. Yet the game panel shone vividly in his thoughts, resembling a sharp 4K image beamed straight into his mind.

"Is this for real?"

"Are you messing with me?"

"Why not pop up sooner? You nearly gave me a heart attack. Thought it was a ghost."

Late arrival, yet it arrived.

Doubt faded in seconds—replaced by sheer ecstasy!

Want true strength as an ordinary guy?

Cheats are essential!!

And here…

It comes!!!

Klein felt infused with pure adrenaline, itching to leap from bed and unleash a wild song, dance, rap, and hoop session in the dorm.

At that instant, he was like Charlotte belting it out onstage, fists pumping as he yelled "HELL YEAH!" to release the thrill.

But reason held him back...

He couldn't!

Roommates were present. Klein suppressed his explosive hype. Even so, his frame shook uncontrollably.

Internally, he roared: I SCORED A CHEAT!!!

HELL YEAH!!!

Pummeling Admirals! Boot-kicking Emperors! All within reach now!!!

Never underestimate a penniless newbie—18 years East Side, 18 years West Side!

...

Calm took time to settle over Klein. Tears nearly welled up. No one else grasped the grind of his fifteen tough years.

Training demanded body and spirit alike.

One minute of glory demands a decade of toil. Yeah, today's scores were middling, but they stemmed from over ten years' grind.

Yet even then, he'd likely become cannon fodder. A bad encounter with a disguised pirate fiend—or a stealthy criminal strike—and it'd be over.

"Alright, no premature partying. Time to inspect this system. Better not whoop too soon and weep after… though crying's tough with roommates around," Klein whispered, focusing on the mental game display.

What jumped out first? The game's title.

Then? The 'Enter Game' option.

Below it—classic 'Healthy Gaming Guidelines':

Resist bad games, reject piracy.

Protect yourself, beware of scams.

Moderate gaming is good for the brain, addiction harms the body.

Manage your time wisely and enjoy a healthy life.

"This game… screams cheap indie." Klein grew wary. Cheat or not, it seemed dodgy.

Like a fly-by-night studio churning out a quick 'cash grab' to scam bucks and vanish.

UI and icons screamed bargain-bin quality.

"Doesn't matter. Let's dive in and see. This could be my one chance to rewrite fate and gain real power."

Mentally, Klein selected 'Enter Game'. The display flipped to a standard loading screen.

Load time proved decent, easing his mind. "Whew, no internet required. Wi-Fi? Good luck finding that here."

Loading complete, it jumped to character setup.

The interface was pure chibi cartoon.

Big-headed avatars with huge glittering eyes, simple shorts and shirts. Pick gender, hair, face...

Echoed a bootleg MapleStory, slightly smoother and cuter.

[Enter Character Name:]

[Imu's Dad]

[Gender: Male]

[Character Created Successfully. Entering Game…]

Another shift—to Roger's famed Loguetown execution.

"The man who had it all—wealth, fame, and power—Gol D. Roger, the King of the Pirates…"

"The Great Pirate Era…"

Klein knew the speech by heart. 'Skip' button? Smacked instantly.

Plus...

Roger hadn't launched his voyage. Likely just a brat in East Blue now.

Skip.

Now an island crammed with structures and markers.

Red dots blazed everywhere on screen.

"Yes! This hits the spot. Newbie tutorial time!" Klein, a gaming vet, recognized the flow.

"That authentic domestic game essence."

"I'm home!"
