With a low shout, the Sword in the Tree in his right hand burst into action, splitting apart from its tip like a blooming flower!

The black light burst forth, blocking Alexei’s lightning-charged battle-axe!

The massive axe struck the dark, spherical mass of energy. Their overwhelming powers collided violently, but Alexei’s strength was still nowhere near a match for the Gatekeeper of the Underworld!
In less than half a second, the lightning battle-axe was shattered!
“Roooar!”
Alexei grew even more furious. He couldn’t tolerate having his attack ignored, so he suddenly brought down another blow with his left hand!
The power of two lightning strikes slammed into the energy of Dark Star, but they still couldn’t destroy it. His lightning was instantly annihilated instead.
At that moment, Alexei did something astonishing.
He leaped from the top of the Ghost Train toward the Gatekeeper of the Underworld.
His move startled Shang Daowen and the others. Without the Ghost Train to protect him, facing the Gatekeeper of the Underworld head-on was tantamount to suicide!
But they didn’t understand that this was Alexei’s way of fighting: advancing without retreat, embracing death to survive!
As a son of a warrior nation, he had never feared death, much less shown cowardice in the face of a powerful enemy!
