Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies Chapter 1368: Danger, Danger!

Becoming an Epsilon-level superhuman was no easy feat.

Even Zhang Yi, a superhuman naturally gifted with potential beyond Epsilon, had only attained his current power after numerous adventures and battles.

So what had Gao Changkong experienced over the past two years?

Batu said, "The captain himself possessed Epsilon-level potential. Later, we went to Bharata, where we discovered an underground secret realm and participated in the struggle for the Divine Source."

Bharata was a miraculous land, with a history and culture possibly as ancient as Huaxu Kingdom.

It had a wondrous religious culture and historical heritage, so the presence of historical relics was hardly surprising.

Zhang Yi nodded. He acknowledged Gao Changkong's talent.

If not for him, Gao Changkong might have actually overthrown Zhu Zheng's rule with his ingenious plan.

"One more question. Did you come here on orders from the Bharata high command?"

When Zhang Yi asked this, his eyes narrowed, and a chilling murderous intent flashed through them briefly.

Gao Changkong wanting revenge on Zhu Zheng? Zhang Yi didn't care, as it had nothing to do with him.

But if he dared to come steal treasures from Huaxu Kingdom's land and deliver them to another nation, Zhang Yi absolutely would not tolerate it!

Old You and Liang Yue, along with the others, stared at Batu with cold eyes as well.

If Batu said "yes," then from that point on, they would show no mercy when they met Gao Changkong's team!

Batu said, "It's like a loyalty pledge. Bharata did hear about what happened here, so they sent us to investigate."

Seeing Zhang Yi and his people's expressions turning icy, Batu quickly added:

"But rest assured, we would never do anything to betray our country for personal gain. Those Bharatan bastards never treated us as their own, and we're not serving them with genuine loyalty."

"Even if we gained anything here, the captain would keep it for himself."

"After all, we're currently one of the Eight Legions of Heavenly Gods in Bharata. They still need to use us and can't afford to burn bridges with us."

Zhang Yi nodded.

"This is indeed Gao Changkong's style. He's not the type to be anyone's lapdog."

Someone so scheming and calculating would never let those Indians fool him.

Who was using whom was still up for debate.

Zhang Yi had a rough grasp of Gao Changkong's team's intel.

Then he asked, "Does Gao Changkong have any intelligence about this place?"

"None at all."

Batu answered directly.

"All we know is that a secret realm of a prehistoric civilization might be hidden here. We've checked many records, but history has never documented this place."

"We only know that the former Demon Kingdom supposedly gained its power from beneath the Demon Abyss."

Zhang Yi nodded. "Find a way to contact Gao Changkong. Ask him where he is now and what he's discovered."

Batu pulled out a communicator and immediately began contacting Gao Changkong as Zhang Yi instructed.

Soon, the call connected.

"Hey, Captain. How are you guys doing?"

Batu spoke in a cheerful tone, showing no signs of being controlled.

That was because Yang Xinxin's ability altered his perception without changing his personal state.

The signal seemed poor on the other end. After all, there were no signal towers underground. Short-distance communication was possible, but any farther would be affected.

The occasional crackle of static could be heard.

"This place... is... extremely... dangerous."

"After trapping them... find somewhere to hide... for now... don't... come here."

"Dangerous... extremely dangerous..."

Hearing Gao Changkong's words from the communicator, Zhang Yi and the others' expressions grew serious.

Had he encountered something dangerous enough to alarm Gao Changkong just by arriving here?

Batu continued, "Captain, what happened? Did you find something?"

A long sigh came from the other end.

"It's hard to explain in a few words... Words... can't describe it. You'll understand... when you see it for yourself."

The communication ended there. Gao Changkong couldn't even give Batu their location.

Because there was no satellite navigation system here.

Zhang Yi looked up and gazed into the distance.

About five or six kilometers away, vague silhouettes seemed to hint at some tall structures.

"It looks like we'll have to see for ourselves," Zhang Yi said.

He directly knocked Batu unconscious, bound him tightly with the strongest restraints, and, just to be safe, put a blindfold and a gag on him before tossing him into Jingwei's Shadow Space.

"Boss, based on what Gao Changkong said, this place is dangerous. Should we scout first?"

Fatty Xu raised his hand and offered his opinion.

Having been with Zhang Yi for so long, he understood his style.

Zhang Yi nodded. "Leave this to me. You guys follow."

He had everyone enter Jingwei's Shadow Space, then Jingwei attached herself to his shadow. Zhang Yi immediately opened a Dimensional Gate and moved toward the ancient city in the distance.

As he soared into the air, he instinctively glanced down at his feet.

And then he saw it—where they had just been standing was actually a massive stone formation!

It was a circular stone formation dozens of meters in diameter, weathered by time and somewhat blurred.

If not for seeing it from a high altitude, its overall shape would never have been detected.

Realizing they had appeared here after descending from the Nine-Story Demon Tower in the Demon Kingdom, Zhang Yi understood that the Demon Abyss was actually a spatial teleportation array.

Zhang Yi flew up over a kilometer high to survey his surroundings. Endless plains stretched in every direction, overgrown with wild grass and dotted with pitch-black trees that looked like they had been soaked in blood.

The plants here seemed enormous, with trees often reaching thirty to forty meters in height and possessing a metallic texture.

Their leaves weren't green; instead, hard black spheres hung from the branches like giant fruit.

Thinking about Gao Changkong's words, Zhang Yi cautiously wrapped his entire body with Manifold Phenomena and then teleported toward the city not far away.

But the moment he started moving, he quickly discovered that his eyes had deceived him.

From a distance, those towering structures had seemed only a few kilometers away, yet even after several spatial traversals, he hadn't gotten any closer.

He then realized that the distance between him and those buildings was at least dozens of kilometers!

This discovery sent a chill down Zhang Yi's spine.

If it was really dozens of kilometers away, why could he see it so clearly from his previous position?

How massive... were those structures?

When he had first arrived at the Demon Kingdom and seen the five- to six-meter-tall Demonic People and their towering architecture, Zhang Yi had already been quite impressed.

But here, he realized that compared to this place, that "massiveness" of the Demon Kingdom was utterly insignificant.
