Captain Johnson led the Iron Wall Mercenary Corps in a brutal assault on an underground base, overcoming laser grids, minefields, and poison gas. They breached the main entrance using Johnson's formidable spiritual power and cleaved through the Blood Demon Cult members within. After a swift and decisive battle, the cult's branch was annihilated.

Johnson frowned slightly, pulled over by the mercenaries, and quickly saw a forcibly broken secret door. Behind the door was a pungent smell mixed with blood and disinfectant, nauseating.

He took the lead in stepping through the door, and the scene before him instantly froze him in place, causing the spiritual energy around him to ripple involuntarily.

This was a massive human operating room, illuminated by cold incandescent lights which lit every sinister corner, with dozens of metal operating tables neatly arranged, each bearing a person clinging to life.

Some had cold machine needles inserted into their necks, with dark red blood slowly flowing through tubes into nearby glass containers, the blood in the containers already full and glimmering with an eerie sheen.

Some had been gutted alive, the wounds on their bellies were hideous and terrifying, their innards removed entirely, leaving only a hollow cavity, with fresh blood dripping from the operating table and pooling into winding streaks on the floor.

Some had lost their human shape entirely, transformed into bizarre distorted forms, with some growing three or four twisted arms, some having their foreheads clustered with dense eyes, their skin a purple-blue, limbs twisted, their appearance terrifying to the extreme.

The mercenaries behind him one after another entered, and upon seeing this scene, even the battle-hardened elite, who had seen countless mountains of corpses and seas of blood, felt their hair stand on end, filled with an icy dread and nausea.

Someone gritted their teeth against the churning in their stomachs, clenching their weapons tightly, knuckles turning white.

A few others could not hold it any longer, removed their helmets and bent over to vomit, their faces ashen as paper, their voices trembling.

Johnson slowly clenched his fists, his knuckles crackling, as a storm of rage surged in his eyes.

The actions of the Blood Demon Cult have completely crossed the boundaries of humanity.

This utterly depraved and evil organization must not be allowed to continue wreaking havoc on the world.

"Take pictures and preserve all evidence, and tightly secure the site, no one is allowed inside."

Johnson ordered calmly.

He knew well that to destroy such a vile force like the Blood Demon Cult, it wasn’t something a mercenary corps could achieve alone; the further investigation and global pursuit would ultimately have to be handed over to the Judgement Court.

After meticulously examining every detail of the site to ensure nothing was missed, Johnson left the underground base and returned to the surface.

"Boss, the base interior has been cleared."

Johnson approached Catherine, raised his hand to activate the holographic projection on his smart wristwatch, his face somber: "Here are the photos I took on site, take a look."

One after another, bloody and bizarre photos appeared before Catherine, her expression instantly turned dark, a hard-to-conceal anger ignited in her eyes, her aura turning freezing cold.

And standing beside Catherine, Xue Yong, as well as the accompanying children, upon seeing the images on the photos, their faces turned ashen instantly, unable to suppress the discomfort from their hearts and bent over to violently vomit.

For them, still young, the impact of these images was overwhelmingly fatal, especially when they associated them with those companions who once lived and trained together and disappeared mysteriously; the fear, panic, retrospection, and nausea overwhelmed them like a tidal wave.

"Urgh— Urgh—"

The children bent over vomiting desperately, their bodies shaking uncontrollably.

Catherine and Johnson quietly watched this scene, their eyelids lowered slightly, sighing inwardly.

Even though they were battle-worn adults, accustomed to life and death, their minds hardened as steel, witnessing these bloody scenes firsthand still made them uncomfortable and nauseated, let alone these young children.

"Boss, I’ve already arranged for the site to be tightly guarded; the subsequent investigation and pursuit must be handed over to the Judgement Court."

Johnson suppressed the gloom in his heart and reported softly.

"Okay."

Catherine nodded slightly: "I’m contacting Yang Ling to send people over to handle it now."

After speaking, her gaze turned to Xue Yong beside her.

At this moment, Xue Yong’s face remained pale, but he was breathing deeply, forcibly suppressing the discomfort and fear within, his eyes revealing a resilient determination.

Seeing this scene, a trace of commendation flashed in Catherine’s eyes, she nodded silently.

This child, possessing a tenacity deep down, is indeed a good candidate for a warrior, if carefully cultivated, the future is limitless.

"Xue Yong, come with me." Catherine beckoned to him gently.

Xue Yong pressed his lips tightly, without the slightest hesitation, quickly walked toward Catherine.

Catherine reached out to grip his shoulder, the next moment, a faint halo emerged around them, their bodies lifted into the air, taking Xue Yong directly toward another nearby mountain peak.

Below, those children left behind, watched as Xue Yong was taken away by the powerful red-haired big sister who seemed like a deity, their eyes uniformly filled with deep envy.

"Wait here."

Catherine released Xue Yong’s shoulder, flicked her fingertip, immediately dialing Yang Ling’s communication.

Whoosh—

The communication connected, the holographic video screen unfolded.

"This Blood Demon Cult stronghold has been destroyed by me, not one cultist left." Catherine spoke plainly.

"Alright, thank you for your hard work."

Yang Ling nodded slightly, his expression calm.

He wasn’t at all surprised that Catherine could destroy the Blood Demon Cult stronghold in such a short time.

He knew very well Catherine’s strength—just like him, Catherine was endowed with exceptional talent, chosen for the Mythical Society, famously known as the "Elemental Queen," a genuine tier eight mage.

She alone was enough to level this Blood Demon Cult stronghold, let alone the fact that Wind Whisper Star was her territory, and she had enough people around to assist her, making it easy to accomplish.

"I’ve seen those Human Puppet Golems you mentioned, as well as that bizarre bloodline fusion technology."

Catherine’s expression suddenly turned serious, "Only a few tier seven golems, after fusion, can achieve tier eight strength. Once this technology is leaked, it is bound to trigger a major earthquake within the Empire."

"Yes, I am aware."

Yang Ling nodded slowly, his originally calm face also shrouded in heaviness.

As a Black Card Judge of the Judgement Court, he understood better than anyone that under the seemingly iron-fisted rule of the Empire, undercurrents were already flowing.

Xieshen Association, Blood Demon Cult, rebel army, Restoration Society...a variety of organizations, ambitious forces, all eyeing this vast Empire.

Even among the ruling class, the bloodline families, many harbored dissatisfaction towards the Empire, secretly colluding, funding these rebellious organizations.

He could well imagine how, once Human Puppet Golem technology leaked, many forces would scramble to find the Blood Demon Cult, either funding or cooperating, just to grasp this technology.

Once this technology spreads rampantly, it will be a devastating blow to the ecosystem of spiritualists within the Empire.

"I’ve already secured the scene; as for the follow-up matters concerning the Blood Demon Cult, they ultimately must be handled by the Judgement Court, but if you need my assistance, feel free to ask."

Catherine’s tone was exceptionally serious.

In ordinary times, if Yang Ling asked her for assistance, she would not miss the chance to heavily negotiate with this Black Card Judge, but after witnessing the egregious sins of the Blood Demon Cult firsthand, she understood that the Blood Demon Cult was never merely the enemy of the Judgement Court but a public enemy to all spiritualists within the Empire; it must be uprooted as soon as possible, never to allow it to harm more innocent people.

"Alright, I won’t be polite with you."

Yang Ling’s expression grew solemn, responding in a firm voice.

Catherine, the Eldest Princess of the Mercenary Association, manages all registered mercenary corps in the Empire.

Just as he previously told Qin Tian, the resources and connections Catherine holds, even surpass his own as a Black Card Judge.

Once the Mercenary Association is willing to fully cooperate with the Judgement Court, the subsequent investigations and purging operations will surely proceed much more smoothly.

"There, the matter is done, and the person you wanted, I’ve also rescued."

Catherine beckoned, and Xue Yong swiftly ran over, his eyes reflecting tension and confusion as he looked at the entirely unfamiliar face on the video.

At that moment, Yang Ling stepped back, one person quickly squeezed forward, their face filled with excitement and joy, eyes red, voice trembling as they spoke:

"Xiaoyong~"

Seeing the familiar yet slightly haggard face, Xue Yong suddenly froze in place, and then, tears burst forth uncontrollably from his eyes, the long-suppressed emotions thoroughly erupted.

"Dad!"
