Catherine, an Eighth Tier Spiritualist, confronts the Blood Demon Cult. The cult, composed of terrifying puppets and golems, fuses several powerful beings into a monstrous hybrid to face her. Despite the horrifying spectacle and the boost in power, Catherine and her allies remain unfazed as the fused golem launches its attack.

Even if most of its intelligence was erased, the basic combat instincts remained. Without command, it went straight for the fatal weak point.

Facing the rapidly approaching golden figure, Katherine remained unflustered. She gracefully raised a jade-like hand, and the tip of her magic staff suddenly burst with intense lightning.

Just as the golden shadow was about to close in, she softly uttered, "Lightning Shield."

A hefty pale-blue lightning shield instantly formed, and the Vajra Golem, carrying immense power, crashed into the lightning shield with a thunderous boom, the sound of metal clashing extremely piercing.

However, the anticipated melee did not occur. The golem was ruthlessly bounced back by the Power of Thunder, its golden glow dimming slightly, and the hard skin being scorched with burn marks by the electricity.

Before it could stabilize, Katherine’s fingers moved again, sending dozens of ice spears piercing through the air towards the golem’s vital spots.

The golem roared in fury, and flames burst from its body, the flames a strange dark purple, instantly melting all the ice spears.

But as soon as the flames rose, Katherine lightly waved her magic staff, and a gale suddenly swept in, tearing and dispersing the flames, while lightning followed the wind and struck the golem, causing it to convulse and slow its movements.

The amalgamated golem roared with rage, tumors on its back squirming frantically. In the next moment, a thick earth-yellow aura appeared around it, the Power of Earth gathering, its defense power soaring once again. At the same time, its arms transformed into sharp, ink-green scorpion tails with which it swept a highly poisonous slash—this was the dual bloodline ability of earth element defense and highly poisonous scorpion tails.

Katherine looked on indifferently, lightly tapping her toes as she gracefully floated into the air, dodging the poisonous attack.

At the same time, thunderclouds surged in the sky, countless tiny thunder serpents pouring down like rain to envelop the golem.

The earth-element light crumbled layer by layer under the bombardment of the thunderstorms, and just as the scorpion tails were about to pursue, they were tightly bound by ice chains that appeared out of thin air, leaving them unable to move.

The golem struggled fiercely, bursting forth the power of blood magic from within, attempting to use corrosive spiritual energy to dissolve the ice chains and lightning punishment.

But Katherine had anticipated this. With a grasp in the void, spiritual energy of light converged into a spear of light, carrying the power to purify all evil, and it pierced fiercely into the tumors of the golem.

Roar!!

The golem let out an exceedingly agonizing howl, black energy surging wildly around it.

Yet in the next second, one of the swollen tumors on its back squirmed and burst open explosively. A grotesque hand, covered in dark red mucus with veins bulging, suddenly reached out, its claw-like fingers gripping the light spear with vice-like strength. Amidst sounds of grating pressure and friction that set teeth on edge, it forcibly pulled the light spear out from its flesh!

The moment the light spear was withdrawn, a copious amount of thick black blood gushed from the tumor wound, but with merely the blink of an eye, that sinister gash rapidly healed, contracted, and smoothed out at a speed visible to the naked eye. The ghastly hand retracted back into the tumor like a worm retreating into its shell, as if it had never appeared.

A dense, overwhelming aura of life regeneration, mixed with sinister energy, spread out. This amalgamated golem astonishingly harbored a terrifying bloodline ability of regeneration.

"Power of Regeneration?" Katherine’s eyebrows raised slightly, a barely detectable hint of surprise flitting across her face, yet she remained utterly unperturbed.

On the other side, in the Blood Demon Cult’s formation, the thin man suddenly paled, struck with horror.

"Wind, thunder, ice, light... she can control multiple elements of spiritual energy at the same time!"

It is well-known that every Spiritualist has an innate elemental affinity that is fated from the moment of awakening. Most Spiritualists, whether Spirit Warrior or Spirit Mage, specialize in only one element, with the extraordinarily talented maybe adept in two, but rarely more.

Yet this red-haired woman before them could simultaneously wield multiple Powers of Elements. More frightening still, she did so with ease, every element wielded with overwhelming power.

Take, for instance, those seemingly unremarkable ice spears. Though their appearance was no different from the common magic of Tier One and Tier Two Mages, he detected a deadly aura—a profound power of extreme cold capable of freezing bodies and souls. If he, a Tier Seven powerhouse, were to face it head-on, that single strike could be fatal.

Simplifying complexity for fundamental mastery. This is the realm only top-tier Spirit Mages can reach.

For Spirit Mages, the early stages of training are a journey from simplicity to complexity: from the basic fireball to the infernal fire lotus, from a single ice spear to miles of frozen wasteland, from earth walls as barriers to seismic bursts of earthpower...

The grander the magic, the more breathtaking its visual effects become.

Yet once one enters the top-tier domain, especially in one-on-one or outnumbered intense battles, true masters no longer blindly pursue range and spectacle but seek the ultimate refinement, using the simplest magic to wield terrifying power.

A seemingly ordinary fireball or a hint of common lightning might contain the core essence realized by a mage throughout their lifetime.

It is clear that this red-haired woman has already stepped into such a realm.

Even more terrifying is that every elemental magic she masters reaches the height of simplifying complexity and returning to essence. This is truly the most daunting aspect.

"This is the bloodline fusion technique of the Human Puppet Golem that Yang Ling mentioned."

Katherine frowned slightly, as the miniature battle recording device in front of her had long since started, fully documenting the fusion process and battle performance.

Before Yang Ling told her about this, she never believed anyone could temporarily integrate multiple bloodlines.

Bloodlines and spiritual energy are the foundation of the Empire’s standing in the Cosmos.

For thousands of years, the Empire’s research into bloodlines has never ceased, led especially by the Empire’s Bloodline Research Institute,
