Qin Tian ensures Han Xu is safe and hidden while he and Dongfang Haoyue confront a group of assassins. Dongfang Haoyue prepares to fight, but Qin Tian insists on handling the threat himself, revealing his overwhelming strength by effortlessly defeating the enemy leader in a single strike.

One move.

Even that Tier Seven Powerhouse didn’t have time to react before Qin Tian ended his life.

With such formidable strength, who in Tier Seven could possibly be Qin Tian’s match?

Even someone at the Tier Seven Peak with Holy Blood couldn’t withstand a few moves from Qin Tian.

"Run!"

The remaining seven black-clothed men finally snapped out of their shock, one shouting with a voice full of tremors that were hard to hide. They hesitated not; without discussion, they scattered in different directions fleeing.

At this moment, no one could look out for anyone else.

They could only gamble on whether they were lucky enough to escape to a safe place before Qin Tian killed the others; this was the only self-rescue method they could think of.

Seven figures, like a startled flock of birds, dashed toward seven completely different directions, Spiritual Energy pushed to the limits, some burning their Qi and Blood for speed, some using secret techniques to hide themselves, and some even crushing Escape Talismans to instantly widen the gap.

Dongfang Haoyue watched their desperate fleeing figures, shaking his head with a smile.

Escape before Qin Tian?

Don’t you know he might be the most powerful Spatial Master in the entire Empire?

Run? Can you outrun spatial teleportation?

Dongfang Haoyue simply sat cross-legged on a sturdy branch, laying the Azure Longsword across his knees, resting his hands on the sword, calmly waiting for Qin Tian to triumph.

He was too lazy to move—what happened next, all he needed was to sit here and watch the show peacefully.

...

In midair, a flash of light passed swiftly.

Metaru burned his Spiritual Energy to the limit, with his limbs slightly trembling—symptoms of overconsumption—but he dared not stop.

His only thought: escape, as far as possible, must leave that monster behind.

Among the three Tier Seven, he was the only Mage, his Spiritual Energy pouring out as if it cost nothing, leaving a long azure trail behind, speed reaching the fastest in his life.

However—

A figure suddenly appeared right in front of him.

A black-clad presence, poised and stable, as if waiting there all along. Suspended in midair, with a calm gaze on him, the eyes lacking any murderous intent or mockery, only an indescribable ease.

Metaru was terrified, turning around frantically to flee in the opposite direction.

But before he could turn, a tranquil yet authoritative voice reached his ears: "Soul Sealing General."

Following that, a horrific mental pressure descended like a tsunami in his Sea of Souls. The strength of this force was beyond what he could resist—it smashed through all his soul defenses like a giant hammer, crushing his Will completely.

Metaru felt his mind go blank, his consciousness like a small boat swaying in a storm, on the verge of sinking. He wanted to struggle, to resist, but found he could not form even a coherent thought.

Soon after, it felt as though an invisible large hand seized his head, gripping his soul tightly, pulling him bit by bit out of his shell.

"No! No!"

Metaru let out silent screams, his soul struggling and twisting violently, trying to break free of that pulling force. But the force was too strong, like a whirlpool in the deep sea, regardless of his struggle, to no avail.

Then, he spotted a familiar silhouette—that was his body floating in the air, eyes already dimmed, limbs dropping powerlessly, like a shell emptied of its core.

And his soul was slowly detaching from that body.

"My body..." Metaru gazed at that familiar shell with utmost terror, it was a body that had accompanied him through countless battles over decades. But now, it was drifting away, like a dream that could never be revisited.

Then, he saw a lamp.

It was a golden Soul Lamp, floating above Qin Tian’s palm. The lamp was engraved with dense ancient patterns, flowing slowly across its surface like living creatures, exuding a timeless, eternal aura. The golden flame at the lamp’s core burned quietly, as if from the beginning to the end of time.

The lamp’s light enveloped his soul, causing his initial resistive emotions to swiftly dissipate. A warm and inclusive force wrapped around him, akin to basking in the sun on a winter’s day, or sinking into warm water amidst fatigue. He even felt a yearning—a desire to enter that lamp, to merge into that warm glow.

Metaru sighed silently.

He ceased struggling; he knew he had bid farewell to the body he had lived in for decades. Whether unwilling or angry, they had no meaning in the face of absolute power. He released all resistance, allowing the Soul Lamp to absorb him, transforming into a golden light point, disappearing within the lamp’s core.

"The last one."

Qin Tian looked at the small light point added to the Reincarnation Lamp, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned.

This Tier Seven Mage’s Soul Body was significantly stronger than the Tier Seven Martial Artist’s Soul Body he had just captured. The higher Soul Strength contained more Energy, and after refining these Lamp Spirits a bit, he could experiment—how much of their full strength these individuals, who lost their physical bodies and retained only their Soul Bodies, could retain.

Additionally, he wanted to extract some crucial information from these Soul Bodies. For instance, which power sent them? Why did they want to kill Dongfang Haoyue? Who was the mastermind behind this?
