"The Black and White Temple?" Gui Xu Taoist seemed surprised, a flicker of bewilderment crossing his features. "What sort of entity is this? When I departed, I do not recall hearing such a name."

Lu Qing elaborated, "This is a nascent power that arose over a hundred thousand years ago.

It is said their progenitor once ventured into the Dark Abyss and brought back an opportunity from within.

In merely a few thousand years, they managed to establish such a formidable force as the Black and White Temple.

Today, their influence stretches across numerous Immortal Domains, and their actions appear perplexing, as if they are orchestrating some hidden scheme."

He then proceeded to detail the Black and White Temple's activities.

From the Unity Realm Stage old demons dispatched by the Black and White Temple to assassinate him when he was in the Heavenly Origin Great World, to the ambush by six Unity Realm Stage old demons armed with an Array Map during his tribulation crossing, and most recently, the trembling he felt in his Heart and Spirit, which upon his calculations, traced back to the Black and White Temple.

He also recounted Qiu Ruofeng of the Netherworld Palace’s perspective on the Black and White Temple, and the related prophecy.

Gui Xu Taoist displayed a look of astonishment after listening.

"I never imagined such a malevolent entity would emerge in the intervening years," he mused, his spectral form swaying slightly. "Appearing over a hundred thousand years ago, with its ancestor entering the Dark Abyss... the timing is indeed quite peculiar."

Lu Qing inquired, "Master, what are your thoughts on this?"

Gui Xu Taoist shook his head. "I have been absent for far too long; I am not acquainted with the powers that have emerged in the starry sky since. I am uncertain of the origins of this Black and White Temple.

However, one thing is definite: given that this force's ancestor explored the Dark Abyss, extreme caution is warranted."

He fixed his gaze on Lu Qing, his expression grave. "It is difficult to ascertain if those connected to the Dark Abyss have any link to those sinister beings. That place is not meant for ordinary cultivators to enter.

To emerge alive suggests either immense fortune, or perhaps... corruption by that Power of Darkness."

Lu Qing's heart stirred, and he asked, "Master, could it be that the ancestor of the Black and White Temple was possessed by evil entities from that world?"

Gui Xu Taoist remained silent for a moment before slowly responding, "That is a possibility that cannot be dismissed."

He continued after a pause, "The residual will of the Mysterious Transformation Great Power informed me that while his suppression of that world channel could prevent cultivators at the Unity Realm Stage and above from crossing, any malevolent living creatures below the Unity Realm attempting to sneak through would be eradicated by the power he left behind, but..."

He looked towards Lu Qing, his gaze profound.

"This does not mean the other side is entirely without means. It is difficult to guarantee they cannot dispatch certain wills across. After all, the powerful beings of that world are far more terrifying than we can fathom.

They have managed to invade so many worlds; they must possess their own methods."

Lu Qing listened intently, deep in thought.

Gui Xu Taoist went on, "If that is indeed the case, then the ancestor of the Black and White Temple you mentioned might already be under the control of that Power of Darkness, or perhaps, he has already become a puppet for that power, serving their agenda."

He let out a sigh, suddenly recalling something.

"Speaking of which, that so-called 'confidant' I once had, who committed such heinous acts, was likely also influenced by certain wills from within the Dark Abyss."

Lu Qing was taken aback. "Master, what do you mean by that?"

Gui Xu Taoist explained, "When I first encountered that individual, despite his arrogance and tendency to view lesser beings as ants, he was not nearly as deranged as he later became. Subsequently, he refined living beings from dozens of worlds; his methods were brutal, and his nature became twisted, completely unlike a normal Transformation Immortal."

He looked at Lu Qing, his expression contemplative.

"On reflection now, it is possible his mind was corroded by the Dark Power during one of his journeys. His eventual escape into the Dark Abyss was likely due to some form of summons. Perhaps, he is now in that Otherworld, consorting with those wicked creatures."

Upon hearing this, a sudden realization dawned on Lu Qing.

"Master, did you depart from this world back then to venture into that Otherworld, in pursuit of that demonic individual?"

Gui Xu Taoist nodded, a gleam of approval appearing in his eyes."You've hit the nail on the head." He let out a sigh, continuing, "At that time, my act of misplaced kindness allowed that malevolent fiend to escape, which ultimately led to the slaughter of billions of lives across countless Life Realms. This tremendous karma, this grave sin, I can never truly escape. Should I fail to personally vanquish him and utterly annihilate his Divine Soul, my Dao Heart will forever be plagued by a Heart Demon, preventing me from ever achieving perfection. If my Dao Heart remains imperfect, there is no possibility of ascending beyond the Transformation Realm in this lifetime." The Taoist Gui Xu's voice resonated with profound gravity. "Therefore, I must pursue him and personally settle this karmic debt." Lu Qing nodded, signifying his comprehension. For any cultivator, their path of cultivation is intricately linked with karma.
