Lu Qing learned that Qiu Ruofeng and his companions emerged from the perilous Dark Abyss, a place few dare to tread. When questioned about their purpose, Qiu Ruofeng deflected, teasing Lu Qing with curiosity about their return from the abyss. Lu Qing, displaying his immense power as a Divine Thought Avatar, pressured Qiu Ruofeng into revealing that the answers Lu Qing sought were within the Dark Abyss itself. He then invited Lu Qing to enter the abyss with them, an offer Lu Qing accepted.

Qiu Ruofeng expressed his delight, repeatedly assuring, "Thank you, my friend, for your trust! Rest assured, we would not dare to deceive you!"

Lu Qing waved his hand nonchalantly, stating, "Let me say this first, I came here with just a Divine Thought Avatar, so even if I fall, it’s no big deal. But if you dare to play any tricks..."

His sentence trailed off, the implication clear.

Qiu Ruofeng quickly responded, "Rest assured, my friend, we harbor no ill intentions whatsoever! This matter is of great importance. You being willing to help is something we are deeply grateful for, why would we have any other thoughts?"

Grateful?

Lu Qing’s heart fluttered slightly at the choice of word.

Nevertheless, he simply nodded slightly, saying nothing more.

Only then did Qiu Ruofeng visibly relax, turning to the Black Robed Figures and declaring, "Everyone, let’s proceed."

The Black Robed Figures nodded in unison and then turned, flying towards the enormous black rift.

Lu Qing followed suit, also approaching the rift.

The closer they drew to the rift, the more intense the peculiar aura became.

The aura felt ancient and vast, as if it had existed for eons, yet it seemed entirely alien to this world.

Lu Qing could even vaguely sense a formidable power surging within the rift, as if poised to burst forth at any moment.

"No wonder it’s called the Forbidden Place..."

Lu Qing mused to himself.

Such a perilous location was one that ordinary cultivators would never dare to approach.

Being adept in the Space Dao, he possessed a superior sensitivity to spatial fluctuations, which granted him this relative ease.

Nevertheless, caution was still his watchword.

After all, this was a place even Transformation Immortals feared.

A moment later, the group arrived at the very edge of the rift.

Up close, the rift was even more astonishing.

It appeared to stretch across the cosmos, its width stretching for thousands of miles, and its length seemingly without end.

It resembled an unhealable scar etched across the vast expanse of the sky.

Near the rift's edge, space twisted and warped unpredictably, occasionally revealing spatial tears that exuded a chilling aura.

Within the rift itself, there was absolute darkness, utterly devoid of light, sound, and even the fundamental concepts of time and space.

"Mr. Lu, stick close to us," Qiu Ruofeng advised, "Inside the Demon Abyss, space is extremely chaotic; if you're not careful, you might lose your way. We have special Guiding Talismans prepared to ensure we don't get lost."

Lu Qing nodded, offering no further comment.

He was not particularly worried about getting lost. With his mastery of the Space Dao, he was confident he could find his way back even if he did stray.

However, since Qiu Ruofeng had made preparations, he was content to conserve his own energy.

Qiu Ruofeng then produced a black talisman, intricately engraved with runes that emitted a faint luminescence.

Muttering a soft incantation, he activated the talisman, which transformed into a beam of light and shot into the rift.

"Let’s go!"

With a low shout, Qiu Ruofeng plunged into the rift first.

The Black Robed Men followed closely behind him.

Lu Qing didn't hesitate and entered the rift as well.

Instantly, the world around him seemed to spin.

As soon as he crossed the threshold into the rift, Lu Qing sensed a profound shift in everything.

Endless darkness enveloped him, devoid of all light and sound, stripping away his sense of direction entirely.

He felt as though he had been cast into absolute nothingness, with impenetrable darkness surrounding him on all sides.

Without the faint mana fluctuations emanating from the Black Robed Men, he wouldn't even have been able to pinpoint their location.

"Is this the interior of the Demon Abyss?"

A shiver ran down Lu Qing's spine.

This environment presented a severe trial for any cultivator.

Lacking any sense of direction or external reference points, one could easily become hopelessly lost within this boundless darkness, forever unable to find a path out.

It was no wonder that even cultivators in the Unity Realm would risk utter destruction by entering.

The mere threat of becoming lost was enough to deter countless cultivators.

Yet, Lu Qing managed to remain remarkably calm.

He composed his mind and meticulously began to sense the subtle spatial fluctuations in his surroundings.

After a moment, he perceived a crucial detail.

Within the Demon Abyss, although space was chaotic, it was not entirely without a discernible pattern.

The chaotic spatial undulations faintly coalesced into a peculiar rhythm, seemingly guided by some unseen force.

Once this underlying pattern was grasped, discerning direction became a manageable task.

"Mr. Lu, are you alright?" Qiu Ruofeng's voice echoed from ahead.

Lu Qing responded calmly, "I am unharmed."

Qiu Ruofeng let out a breath of relief, stating, "That's good to hear. Stay close now; we need to increase our pace. Within this Demon Abyss, spatial storms erupt periodically. If we aren't careful, even we could find ourselves in serious peril."

Lu Qing nodded and continued to follow.

The group traversed the darkness with great speed.

An all-encompassing silence, punctuated only by the occasional spatial tremor, served as a stark reminder to Lu Qing that this was no ordinary place.

It was impossible to gauge how long they had been flying when, quite suddenly, a faint glimmer of light appeared in the distance ahead.

The light was exceedingly weak, but within the immense, suffocating darkness, it stood out with striking clarity.

"We have reached our destination," Qiu Ruofeng announced, gesturing towards the structure. "That is the stronghold of our Netherworld Palace within the Demon Abyss." The assembled group then proceeded to fly directly towards a discernible light source. As they drew nearer, Lu Qing observed that the light originated from an immense, colossal stone that was suspended in mid-air. Covering an area of several dozen miles, it floated serenely within the oppressive darkness, emitting a soft, ambient glow. Faintly discernible upon the surface of this colossal floating stone were several structures and the silhouettes of cultivators. "This is..." Lu Qing expressed, a hint of surprise flickering in his eyes. Qiu Ruofeng proceeded to elaborate, "This colossal floating stone was painstakingly transported here from the outside world by our Netherworld Palace, at considerable expense. The powerful array etched upon it possesses the capability to withstand formidable spatial storms, thus serving as our crucial foothold within the treacherous Demon Abyss." Lu Qing offered a slight nod, choosing not to probe any deeper into the matter at that moment. The entire contingent subsequently descended, landing gracefully upon the expansive surface of the floating stone.
