Wei Lulin, a pharmacy employee whose meridians were damaged, encountered a farmer selling Meridian Grass. He purchased eleven stalks, planning to use them to heal himself. Later, Wei Lulin experimented with his newfound ability to copy and paste objects, successfully creating a duplicate Meridian Grass at the cost of his own vitality.

Hidden away in the backyard of Wei’s Pharmacy, within the confines of the attic.

“Cease this at once!” Wei Lulin cried out internally, his alarm escalating as he perceived his vitality draining away, his strength rapidly diminishing. His expression contorted in panic.

However, the process initiated within his mind was beyond his control, unheeding of his desperate inner pleas and relentlessly forging ahead. Witnessing his own body become increasingly gaunt and skeletal, Wei Lulin felt utterly powerless.

In his previous existence, terminating a process was as simple as shutting down a system or severing its power source. Yet, in this moment, he was rendered completely helpless, compelled to be a passive observer of its inexorable advancement.

By the time his frame was reduced to a mere skeleton, his skin ashen and devoid of color, the Meridian Grass he was in the process of replicating finally achieved its form. The debilitating siphoning force abruptly ceased, leaving him clinging precariously to existence.

Lying there, utterly depleted, he gasped for breath, a wave of potent relief washing over him. “Thank goodness I only replicated enough Meridian Grass for five years. Had I attempted ten, I would have been nothing but dust by now.”

However, the harsh realization that the very act of duplicating and pasting a herb consumed his own blood, bone, and flesh led him to question the true utility of this ability.

The recent harrowing experience instilled a deep-seated reluctance in Wei Lulin to try it again. Despite this apprehension, the sheer potential of such an extraordinary ability to duplicate and paste remained undeniably seductive.

His damaged meridians, his lowly standing, and the pervasive disrespect he endured were stark realities that hammered home a crucial point: to achieve a modicum of security, he would have to rely solely on himself and this astounding power.

Pondering the recent turn of events, Wei Lulin considered the possibility that a yet-undiscovered solution might exist. “I recall reading about this in an online novel! Typically, individuals require a substantial reservoir of energy or spiritual power to manifest such formidable abilities.” A spark ignited in his eyes with this sudden insight, and he attempted to move to retrieve something.

But the profound exhaustion from the Meridian Grass replication had left him completely depleted. His weakened arms offered no support, and he crashed heavily to the ground, a sharp jolt of pain eliciting a muffled groan of discomfort.

There was no need to rush. He would wait, he assured himself, wait until his strength fully returned.

Once a modicum of his former vigor had returned, Wei Lulin painstakingly maneuvered himself to the edge of the bed. With considerable effort, he shifted the pillow to the side, revealing a bundle wrapped in cloth concealed beneath.

He carefully unwrapped the bundle to uncover a modest collection of gold, silver, and copper coins, alongside seven stones possessing a rather dull luster.

“This is the moment of truth,” he mused inwardly as he selected one of the stones, which exhibited a faint glimmer. Holding it firmly in his palm, Wei Lulin issued a silent command: “Activate the program.”

As the program initiated, a distinct pulling sensation occurred within his mind. His arm instinctively began to draw the stone from his grasp. In less than a minute, the stone, which had initially held a subtle sheen, darkened considerably, its texture softening until it finally disintegrated into a fine powder, slipping through his fingers.

In place of the disintegrated stone, five perfectly formed Meridian Grass materialized in his hand.

“It actually works!” An overwhelming surge of emotion washed over Wei Lulin at the sight of the verdant Meridian Grass and the delicate fragrance it emitted; tears welled in his eyes.

His trajectory was now irrevocably altered! At long last, he held the reins to charting his own destiny!

After regaining his composure, Wei Lulin meticulously examined the Meridian Grass cupped in his hand and reflected, “My initial hypothesis was accurate. I stand on the precipice of a truly momentous ascent.”

With this conviction firm in his mind, he retrieved the remaining six darker stones and repeated the procedure. Ultimately, he found himself in possession of twenty-four Meridian Grass.

“The greater the concentration of Spiritual Energy within the Spirit Stones, the larger the quantity of medicinal herbs that can be replicated,” he mused, comparing the results garnered from his repeated efforts.

His attention then shifted to the pile of white powder accumulated at his feet. The seven stones he had utilized were no ordinary rocks; they were a unique product of the Eternal Continent known as Spirit Locking Stones.

What precisely are Spirit Locking Stones?

In locales where the Heaven Earth Spiritual Energy is exceptionally concentrated, particularly within landscapes possessing unique geological formations, a substantial volume of Spiritual Energy becomes absorbed and retained. Over extended periods, these environments can mature into Spirit Veins, which inherently contain Spirit Stones.

Spirit Stones are objectively classified into ten distinct grades, determined by the magnitude of Spiritual Energy they encapsulate. Grade Ten represents the lowest tier, commonly referred to as Low Grade Spirit Stones, whereas Grade One signifies the apex, known as Top Grade Spirit Stones.

Beyond the generation of Spirit Stones, the immediate vicinity surrounding a Spirit Vein, perpetually bathed in the ambient Spiritual Energy, can yield stones that, while not meeting the specified grade criteria, still retain residual traces of Spiritual Energy. These particular formations are identified as Spirit Locking Stones.

The seven stones he had just employed were, in fact, Spirit Locking Stones.

Martial cultivators can enhance their strength by absorbing Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy. However, due to the diffuse nature of this energy in the air, it is exceedingly difficult for cultivators to rely solely on the ambient energy for rapid advancement. Thus, during their training, they either choose locations rich in Spiritual Energy or resort to using external aids.

Their preferred aids are Spirit Stones, Pills, and the like.

While Spirit Locking Stones are ungraded, the Spiritual Energy they contain is significantly more abundant than the dispersed Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy. As such, they are among the most commonly used treasures by lower-level warriors.

For someone of Wei Lulin’s stature and position, acquiring these seven Spirit Locking Stones was no small feat—they represented nearly a third of his total assets.

The stones were depleted in mere minutes, yet Wei Lulin felt no regret. To him, treasures that couldn’t be utilized were worthless. As long as the Spirit Locking Stones could mend his damaged Spirit Veins, allowing him to absorb Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy and bolster his cultivation, he saw no reason for sorrow.

After brightening the room, Wei Lulin settled onto the bed with some effort and arrayed the 31 strands of Meridian Grass before him.

He inhaled deeply, achieving a state of complete serenity, then picked up a strand of Meridian Grass, chewed it gently, and swallowed it in one go.
