I Am Unaware That I Am the Peerless Martial God Chapter 2

Previously on I Am Unaware That I Am the Peerless Martial God...
Yi Feng, an ordinary mortal with blocked meridians, reflects on his life in a world dominated by powerful cultivators. Despite his extensive martial arts knowledge, he feels powerless in the face of real strength. His mundane routine includes running a martial arts manual stall, where he unexpectedly encounters two young cultivators, Luo Lan Xue and Yin Luo Li. Though disdainful of Yi Feng's status, Luo Lan Xue reluctantly purchases a manual for her junior sister. After leaving, she experiences a shocking reaction to the manual's content, leading to a sudden and severe physical response.

“This...”

Luo Lanxue staggered back several paces before finally stabilizing her graceful figure. Ignoring her physical pain, she stared at the martial arts manual gripped in Yin Luoli’s hands with eyes full of disbelief.

“This is Martial Will!”

As the realization dawned on her, turbulent waves of emotion crashed through Luo Lanxue's heart.

How could this be possible? She had actually encountered Martial Will within a mere picture book belonging to an ordinary person. Had the lingering pain of her injuries not served as a constant reminder, she would have surely believed she was trapped in a dream.

Martial Will.

That was a thing of legends.

Forget someone of her level; even her master, a formidable Martial Spirit powerhouse, had failed to grasp the essence of Martial Will. It was common knowledge that only those who had reached the Martial Emperor level could begin to perceive its true nature.

The only reason she could even identify it was because her master, Qingshan Laozu, had allowed her to experience a faint trace of Martial Will during a Sect legacy session. However, that tiny fragment of Martial Will compared to what was inside this book was like a dim firefly standing before the sun; it wasn't even worth mentioning.

“Sister, what happened to you?” Yin Luoli asked with deep concern, watching as Luo Lanxue spat out a mouthful of blood.

“I am alright. Can you let me examine that book in your hands?” Luo Lanxue spoke with urgent intensity, her gaze locked onto the manual.

“Sure! It is a very good book!” Yin Luoli replied, extending her small arm to hand it over.

Luo Lanxue accepted the martial arts manual with great solemnity. However, she suddenly noticed something that caused her to stare at Yin Luoli with wide, shocked eyes.

“Luo Li, you... you...”

In that instant, Luo Lanxue’s pupils contracted and her heart hammered against her ribs. Her entire frame trembled slightly as if she were witnessing an impossibility.

“What is it, Sister?” Yin Luoli asked, blinking her large eyes in confusion.

“Your cultivation level?” Luo Lanxue gasped in shock. “How has your cultivation level surged so much?”

When they had first descended the mountain, she had confirmed that Yin Luoli was only at the 1st level of the Martial Artist realm. But now...

She had reached the 5th level of the Martial Artist realm!

“Eh?”

Hearing this, Yin Luoli quickly checked her own internal Cultivation.

“It’s true! I really am a heaven-blessed genius, haha!”

Upon realizing her cultivation level had indeed skyrocketed, Yin Luoli began to boast with a happy grin.

Luo Lanxue, however, took a sharp, deep breath.

While Yin Luoli was certainly talented, it was fundamentally impossible for her to achieve this, especially breaking through four levels in such a short span of time.

There was only one logical explanation...

She turned her gaze toward the martial arts manual she held!

A sense of trepidation washed over her.

Steadying her shaking, jade-like hands, she inhaled deeply and eagerly threw open the martial arts manual once more.

“Tai Chi!”

Those three massive characters were the first things to greet her vision.

The calligraphy appeared relaxed and flowing, yet upon closer inspection, it possessed a vigorous and commanding power.

Luo Lanxue was instantly captivated by those three words. It was as if an entirely different world manifested before her eyes.

A mysterious Tai Chi diagram appeared with her standing at its very center. Looking upward, she saw a boundless sky filled with stars arranged in a cryptic, ancient pattern.

Mechanically, she flipped to the following page.

A vividly drawn small figure seemed to come alive in her expanding pupils, gently pushing forward with a palm imprint that felt as vast as the heavens.

Her breathing turned shallow and ragged, while beads of sweat began to roll down her forehead.

In that moment, she felt like a fragile boat tossed about by a violent storm, at risk of being swallowed by this immense world. She slammed the martial arts manual shut and stood there, gasping for air.

“Sister, what is wrong?”

Yin Luoli hurried to grab Luo Lanxue’s arm, her face full of worry.

It took a long time for Luo Lanxue to compose herself. Just as she found her voice, she was stunned to realize that her own Cultivation had leaped from the 9th level of the Martial Artist realm straight into the Great Martial Artist realm.

Luo Lanxue was completely dazed.

The gap between the Martial Artist and Great Martial Artist realms was a massive wall for many cultivators; countless people remained stuck at the 9th level for their entire lives. Even with her confidence in her own talent, she had expected the breakthrough to take at least another year.

Yet now, in less time than it takes to drink a cup of tea, she had successfully crossed that threshold?

It was certain that if the news of their sudden breakthroughs were to leak, it would send shockwaves through the entire South Sha region!

She wiped the sweat from her brow and clutched the manual tightly, as if it were the most precious treasure in existence.

“Sister, what is actually happening to you?”

Seeing Luo Lanxue’s strange behavior, Yin Luoli’s anxiety grew.

Her sister had always been disciplined and focused on her Cultivation. Could she have been too impatient and allowed inner demons to take hold of her mind?

“Luo Li!” Finally, Luo Lanxue recovered her senses. She gripped Yin Luoli’s arm and said with total seriousness, “Swear to me that you will never speak a single word about this book to anyone.”

“But why?”

Yin Luoli blinked, her expression filled with bewilderment.

“Do not ask questions. You only need to understand that this book...” Luo Lanxue took a breath and continued solemnly, “This book is likely the greatest fortune of your life. It may also decide the very survival of our Qingshan Sect.”

“Huh?”

Yin Luoli was stunned by the weight of those words.

“Furthermore, I must bring this manual to Master immediately,” Luo Lanxue added.

“Okay!”

Yin Luoli scratched her head. She hadn’t even finished the book yet and felt reluctant to part with it, but her sister’s grave expression told her this was no joking matter.

Still, she couldn't wrap her head around how a simple book could be her greatest opportunity or save the Sect.

Luo Lanxue took Yin Luoli’s hand and began rushing back toward the Sect.

She thought back to the scene at the shop...

That young man lounging so casually in his chair was definitely no ordinary person!

He had to be a peerless master far beyond her comprehension—an expert whose Cultivation had reached the state of returning to simplicity, allowing him to treat the world as his playground.
