I Am The Game's Villain Chapter 883: Introducing Levina
Previously on I Am The Game's Villain...
"Are you ready?"
Edward looked toward Levina.
They stood outside the temporary home in Clover, directly in front of the entrance door. Levina remained a half-step behind him, her hands held together in front of her as she stared anxiously at the door.
"I think..."
Her answer was quiet.
Edward looked at her for a moment.
Then he reached out and gently patted her head.
"Do not be so nervous," he said. "Everyone inside is kind. Treat them as your extended family."
Levina nodded.
She tried to smile, though the tension in her shoulders remained.
Meeting Edward again had already been overwhelming enough. Meeting the people he had grown close to, his other children, the women around him, and the people who now lived with him, felt even more frightening.
But Edward was here.
That made it easier.
He raised his hand and rang the bell.
Almost immediately, hurried footsteps echoed from the other side of the door.
Then it opened.
Tihana stood there.
"I checked that it was you before opening!" She said proudly.
Edward raised a brow.
"I hope so."
Then he stepped aside slightly, allowing Tihana to see Levina properly.
Tihana’s eyes widened.
For a second, she simply stared.
Levina took a small breath.
"You must be Tihana," she said. "I am Levina. It is nice to meet you."
"Levina..."
Tihana’s expression brightened.
"So you are my big sister?"
"T-That is..."
Levina did not know how to answer quickly enough.
Tihana’s smile only grew wider.
"Come!"
Before Levina could react, Tihana caught her hand and pulled her inside with all the enthusiasm of someone who had been waiting the entire day for this exact moment.
Edward watched them go with a faint smile.
Then he stepped inside and closed the door behind him.
The moment they entered the living room, Tihana began introducing Levina to everyone there.
She truly was the natural enemy of every introvert.
Levina barely had time to take in her surroundings before she found herself standing in front of Orlin, Olga, Tessara, and Lunishia.
For a brief moment, the room fell quiet.
Everyone was looking at her.
Levina’s cheeks warmed.
"I am Levina," she said again, this time in a much smaller voice.
"Wow!"
Lunishia was the first to move.
"She is so pretty!"
Before Levina could respond, Lunishia rushed forward and hugged her without warning.
"God, you even smell like Edward! The same perfume! And you are beautiful too! You are definitely his child!"
"Erm..."
Levina blinked.
She wanted to explain that she only smelled like Edward because she had spent the entire trip close to him.
In truth, her scent was much more connected to Alicia’s blood.
But she decided not to say anything.
"Do not strangle her, Lunishia," Orlin said with a laugh.
He stepped forward and gently pulled Lunishia away from Levina before the girl could squeeze her any harder.
Then he looked at Levina.
"Dad has told us a lot about you," he said with a small grin. "Since you are an Enigma Beast too, we are basically siblings, right?"
"We are," Levina replied.
A shy smile appeared on her face.
Then Tessara stepped forward.
Levina looked at her with faint surprise.
Tessara was beautiful.
It made Levina briefly wonder how so many beautiful girls had somehow gathered around Edward.
"It is an honor to meet my King’s first child," Tessara said.
She smiled gently and gave Levina a graceful bow, lifting the hem of her gown slightly with both hands.
"I-I am not really..."
Levina’s face warmed again.
"First child?" Tihana sighed. "I thought I was the first one."
"You were excited about having a big sister only moments ago," Orlin said, laughing.
"I am excited!"
Tihana immediately hugged Levina’s arm.
"I am really happy! But I am surprised too. She does not seem that much older than us."
"She has her own circumstances," Edward replied.
He walked toward the couch and sat down beside Olga.
"But it does not matter. She is older than both of you, so treat her well."
His silver eyes moved toward Tihana and Orlin.
"She has been alone for a long time. Be kind to her."
"I will, Dad!"
Tihana puffed out her chest with determination.
"Leave Levina to me!"
Edward nodded faintly.
Then his gaze shifted toward Olga.
Olga had not said a single word.
Normally, that would not have been unusual. She was never the loudest person in the room. But even by Olga’s standards, she was being strangely quiet.
Edward looked at her more carefully.
Her dark amber eyes were fixed on Levina.
Wide.
Openly admiring.
Almost captivated.
Edward smiled faintly.
Then he reached out and gently touched Olga’s hair.
"How about you speak with her?"
"Ah..."
Olga seemed to snap out of her thoughts.
A faint blush appeared on her cheeks.
"Yes."
She slowly stood from the couch and walked toward Levina.
Levina had been listening to Tihana speak excitedly about the house, but she turned as Olga approached.
"I am Olga," she said.
Then she held out her hand.
Levina looked at it before accepting it gently.
"I am Levina."
Olga’s eyes lingered on her face.
Then, with complete honesty, she said, "You are very pretty."
Levina blinked.
"Thank you."
Her face became warmer.
"You are very pretty too."
And she meant it.
In fact, Levina was beginning to realize that nearly every girl around Edward was beautiful in a way that felt far above ordinary standards.
"Finally home, Honey?"
Layla’s voice came from the kitchen.
A moment later, she appeared in the doorway wearing an apron.
Edward looked at her.
"Were you cooking?"
"Yes."
"Right..."
Layla’s expression changed immediately.
"Honey," she said, puffing her cheeks slightly, "I have trained a lot, you know."
"I think there are better cooks here."
Edward’s eyes shifted toward Orlin.
Orlin, who had been standing near Levina, gave an awkward little laugh.
"She insisted, Dad."
"Without Belle and Freydis here, I am the only one left," Layla said.
"What about Orlin?"
"He is a child," Layla replied at once.
"Still, he cooks very well," Edward said. "You said so yourself."
"Honey~"
Layla tilted her head.
She was smiling.
But the smile did not reach her eyes.
Edward immediately understood the warning hidden behind it.
"Alright," he said. "Just be careful."
The truth was that he was not certain he could trust Layla inside a kitchen.
He had unpleasant memories of her earlier attempts at cooking.
Layla had never been someone who spent much time preparing meals. She was a highborn lady, raised in a household where servants and professional cooks handled such things. Cooking had simply never been a skill she needed to learn.
So why had she suddenly become so determined to improve?
The reason was obvious.
Alvara.
Alvara was almost always the one cooking for Edward. And unlike Layla, she was genuinely skilled at it. Her meals were consistently excellent, prepared with care and a quiet attention to detail that Edward could not help appreciating.
He never hid his feelings about Alvara’s food.
Sometimes, after tasting something she had made, a rare and sincere smile would appear on his face.
It was the kind of smile Alvara loved.
And it was the kind of smile Layla wanted to receive too out of their intimate and flirting moments of course.
Layla was not normally someone who became jealous easily.
But when it came to Alvara, she could become irritated with surprising ease.
And the feeling went both ways.
So Layla had decided she would learn how to cook.
Edward had once considered suggesting that she simply ask Alvara to teach her.
But Alvara had refused, saying she wouldn’t teach cooking to a mere half human.
Well, not like Layla would have accepted Alvara’s elf either.
But Edward had not pressed the issue.
Truthfully, he did not believe Layla would ever reach Alvara’s level in the kitchen.
Of course, he would never say that aloud.
Layla turned her attention away from him.
Then she noticed Levina standing nearby.
"Oh," Layla said, her expression brightening. "You must be Vina."
"Y-Yes."
Levina stuttered slightly.
She had already met several beautiful girls since entering Edward’s home, but Layla felt different.
She was at Alicia’s level, easily and even beyond it with some unfathomable charm in her.
Layla walked closer.
Then she gently cupped Levina’s cheek.
"Honey told me what you did," she said softly. "And what you went through."
Her dark-pink eyes held Levina’s with warmth.
"Do not worry. You will never be alone again."
Levina stared at her.
There was something inexplicably comforting about Layla’s touch and the way she spoke. Being acknowledged so openly made warmth spread through Levina’s chest.
It was strange.
The feeling was somewhat similar to the comfort she felt around Edward and Alicia.
Yet it was different too.
Layla’s presence was gentle, soothing and safe.
"Thank you," Levina said quietly.
Layla smiled and nodded.
Then she turned and walked back toward the kitchen.
"I will prepare a feast," she announced proudly. "So wait here, Honey."
Edward immediately looked toward Orlin.
Orlin understood immediately.
"Y-Yes, Father."
He hurried into the kitchen.
There was no need for Edward to say anything more.
Someone had to supervise.
While the others continued talking in the living room, the doorbell rang again only a few minutes later.
Lunishia immediately rushed toward the entrance.
"Samara," she said as she opened the door, "what took you so long?"
"I was sleepy," Samara replied.
She walked into the house and headed toward the living room.
But the moment she saw Edward, she froze.
Their eyes met.
Samara’s pale cheeks turned bright red almost instantly.
Her hand rose to brush through her dark hair in a nervous attempt to hide her face, but it did nothing to conceal her embarrassment.
Then, without saying another word, she hurried upstairs.
Lunishia blinked.
Levina looked confused.
Edward remained seated, watching Samara disappear around the corner.
The room fell briefly silent.
Then Lunishia turned toward him with narrowed eyes.
"Edward," she said slowly, narrowing her sky-blue eyes, "what happened?"
"Nothing," Edward replied.
(Master! Finally home!)
Jarvis entered the living room from behind, floating in with far more enthusiasm than necessary.
[Hopefully, you did not cause trouble for Master.]
Brain’s voice followed soon after.
The second robot emerged from the kitchen door, having apparently served as Layla’s personal assistant in the kitchen until now.
(Hmph. Unlike you, I have been extremely helpful to Master.)
Jarvis displayed a smug expression on his screen.
"Instead of fighting," Lunishia said, reaching up and catching Jarvis in both hands, "tell me what happened between Samara and Edward!"
Jarvis froze.
(Oh...)
A twisted perverted smiling emoji appeared across his screen.
Edward’s silver eyes shifted toward him.
’Say a single unnecessary word, and I will tear your limbs apart and throw you in the garbage.’
The threat entered Jarvis’s system directly.
(Hiii!!)
A robotic shriek left him immediately.
"Jarvis!"
Lunishia shook him impatiently.
"Tell me!"
(Nothing happened!)
Jarvis answered far too quickly.
(Master only gave Samara a lap pillow.)
"W-What?!"
Lunishia’s eyes widened.
Then she turned toward Edward with sudden determination.
"I want one too!"
Before Edward could respond, she hurried over and sat beside him on the couch. She pressed herself against his side, her fluffy red tail brushing lightly against his neck as she looked up at him expectantly.
Edward sighed.
Lunishia smiled brightly.
Then she immediately rested her head on his lap.
Her expression became content quickly.
Edward looked down at her.
A small smile curled his lips as he reached out and gently patted her hair. His fingers moved over her soft wolf ears, and Lunishia’s tail swayed happily behind her.
"The next time," Lunishia said, "I want a trip alone with you too."
"You already spend plenty of time alone with me."
"That is not the same!"
Edward’s thumb pressed lightly against her lips, stopping her complaint before it could continue.
Then his thumb brushed across her soft pink lips.
Lunishia’s expression changed.
For a moment, the usual brightness in her sky-blue eyes faded.
Edward watched her carefully.
"Do you want to do something while we are here?" He asked. "Maybe look through old memories. See something connected to your family."
Lunishia shook her head lightly.
She did not want to talk about it.
Instead, she caught Edward’s hand and playfully bit down on his thumb before holding it between her lips.
Edward pulled his hand away.
Then he flicked her forehead.
Ouch!"
Lunishia let out a small sound before beginning to giggle.
She relaxed against his lap again, her earlier expression fading as she looked up at him.
"I am happy like this," she said quietly. "Here with you, Edward."
Edward looked down at her for a moment.
Then he gently stroked her hair again.
"Alright."
