Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia Volume 14.5 - Ch 4.1

Lately, Hida Reiri has adopted an early rising habit.
Previously, the concepts of morning and night held no meaning for her. As Ataraxia's commander, the relentless battles against Vatlantis, the machine god, and the numerous nations threatening Ataraxia consumed her time, leaving no room for rest.
However, her life now follows a structured routine.
She rises before six, showers, and dresses simply. Then, she dons an apron over her casual indoor attire and begins preparing breakfast for her younger brother and sister.
The preparation is a daily ritual, so she doesn't attempt anything overly complex. Yet, the exceptional quality of the ingredients ensures a delicious taste. The wheat used for toast, developed and cultivated by Ataraxia's agricultural department, is free from harmful agrochemicals. Shikina Kei recommended it, praising its high nutritional value, making it ideal for pregnant women. The meat and eggs for the bacon and omelets originate from the livestock department's latest research.
This marks her third month of pregnancy, prompting greater personal caution. However, those around her exhibit even more zealous care. Consequently, even her commander duties are now handled remotely.
While she personally wished to continue working as before, everyone refused to permit it. A part of her appreciated their concern, yet another part felt a touch of embarrassment.
While contemplating this, she scrambled some eggs, spreading them across the frying pan.
Good morning.
Just then, Setsuna, the younger sister she recently acquired, entered the dining kitchen, already dressed in her uniform.
Morning, Setsuna. You're up early.
Yes. Today's my turn for class duty, so I plan to leave a little ahead of schedule.
I see. And Kizuna?
Setsuna sighed in exasperation.
I just woke him up, but he absolutely refuses to get out of bed. It's such a hassle. Did Onii-chan stay up late last night?
Reiri felt a jolt of surprise within her.
Ah! Is omelet on today's menu!?
Setsuna glanced at the frying pan, her eyes lighting up.
Y-yes. That's right.
And it's packed with so many other ingredients! Wonderful! Did something good happen yesterday?
Reiri's heart skipped another beat.
Last night, she and her brother managed to spend some uninterrupted time alone together for the first time in ages.
A subtle tension had existed between them since her pregnancy was discovered, leading to accumulated stress. Believing it would be acceptable to engage in some affectionate intimacy, they decided to share a bed last night after a long interval.
The experience left them feeling mentally and physically gratified.
Nee-chan
Kizuna
They embraced, their lips meeting in a passionate, deep kiss, devoid of any restraint and indifferent to potential observers. The escalating passion caused a milky substance to overflow from her nipples.
A shiver coursed through her spine from the pleasure of allowing her little brother to drink from her. Subsequently, her entire body was explored with fingers and tongue, reaching every intimate crevice. The sheer bliss and pleasure led her to an embarrassing, swift climax.
And then, both of them became completely aroused. The very person in question, Kizuna, appeared just as she was recalling the events of the previous night.
Yaaaawngood morning.
In stark contrast to Setsuna's neat attire, Kizuna's hair was disheveled, and he was still in his pajamas.
You seem sleepy. You can go back to sleep a bit longer. You're scheduled for a sortie today, so it's acceptable to miss school.
Even while working from home, Reiri was fully aware of Amaterasu's schedule.
The other day, an incident occurred where a certain nation launched a threatening missile toward Ataraxia. Although the missile landed dozens of kilometers short, causing no damage, it was still a matter of concern. Another nation was also periodically dispatching fighter jets to approach Ataraxia. While these incursions could be ignored, they risked emboldening those nations.
To counter these actions, Amaterasu was scheduled to fly over the airspace of the respective countries this afternoon as a demonstration of power.
However, the purpose wasn't solely for such aggressive displays.
Recently, Ataraxia had also begun intervening in situations involving extreme inhumane acts, disarming the military forces involved.
Such actions yielded no direct material benefits. Nevertheless, they served effectively to broadcast Ataraxia's intentions to the world.
Despite his drowsy appearance, Kizuna sat down at the dining table.
No, I'll be fine after I eat breakfast and get moving.
Reiri placed Kizuna's bread into the toaster and then prepared the coffee.
Did you, perhaps, overdo it a little yesterday?
That's my line. I also got a bit too engrossed—are you alright?
She felt pleased, naturally, that he was showing concern for her.
I am fine. Everyone is just being overly worried. There will be no issues as long as I do not place excessive strain on my stomach.
Ultimately, despite it only being for a brief moment, she had gone all the way with Kizuna the previous night. Of course, they had still managed to maintain certain boundaries.
Indeed, becoming one had brought a happiness that was hard to find elsewhere. Then there was the exquisite feeling of welcoming Kizuna within her. Her body ignited with warmth just at the recollection of that sensation.
Onii-chan and Onee-chan, what exactly are you discussing?
Setsuna's innocent gaze fell upon them, causing a sense of guilt to wash over them.
We are discussing today's operation.
Setsuna wholeheartedly accepted Reiri's explanation and headed off to school with vibrant energy. Watching her depart, Reiri let out a small sigh accompanied by a smile.
Sheesh, she's so full of life. Utterly innocent, with no complexities whatsoever.
It was suddenly hard to believe that this girl had originally belonged to Thanatos and Nayuta when she was like this.
Hey, Onee-chan, about last night…
Eh? W-what is it?
She wondered what Kizuna intended to convey. Reiri's mind flashed back to their activities the previous night, and she couldn't help but blush.
Nee-chan, did you… feel anything out of the ordinary at that moment?
Out of the ordinary?
Reiri's brow furrowed.
Could it be that something was amiss, something she overlooked due to her pregnancy? If this had caused Kizuna any discomfort…
Kizuna seemed to grasp Reiri's train of thought, swallowing the piece of bread in his mouth before shaking his head.
No, it’s fine if Nee-chan didn’t feel anything. It was probably just my imagination.
Was something on your mind?
Kizuna filled his mouth with omelet, chewing thoughtfully.
Th-this is delicious.
I'm glad to hear that, but please don't evade my question.
I'm not trying to. I can't quite articulate it myself. It's as if… I felt a connection to something… Do you understand what I mean?
C-certainly, you were… connected to something.
Reiri looked away, taking a bite of her own toast.
No, no! That's not what I meant! Ah, I have to go! Thanks for the breakfast!!
Kizuna abruptly stood up. Reiri called out to him, asking him to wait.
There's no need to rush off like this, is there?
I just remembered Ger-san called for me. She wants to discuss the curriculum for the elementary grades with me.
Kizuna left those words hanging in the air and quickly returned to his room to change into his uniform. Afterward, he dashed noisily down the corridor and out the door, shouting his departure.
Sheesh, his lack of composure is just like a child's.
Reiri murmured with a hint of exasperation. However, she added inwardly that this side of him was also quite endearing.
