His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 945 Papa’s little girl
Previously on His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker....
Without saying anything, Leo leaned down and kissed her forehead.
Bella’s smile softened.
"Bunny..." he murmured.
His voice sounded different now, gentler and more emotional than usual.
"I can’t imagine how much pain you went through to bring these beautiful babies into our lives."
He paused, looking into her eyes.
"I wish I could have taken even a little of it away from you."
Bella’s expression changed as she listened to him.
Leo swallowed, his gaze moving briefly toward the two tiny babies who had changed their lives forever before returning to his wife.
"I’m forever grateful to you, Bunny. You went through so much to give us this happiness, and I..." His voice faltered slightly. "I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain how much it means to me."
His eyes began to fill with tears.
"You’ve made me the happiest man in the world."
For a moment, he couldn’t say anything more.
Bella’s lips parted in surprise.
She had seen Leo angry. She had seen him jealous, playful, protective, emotional and embarrassingly affectionate when it came to her.
But seeing tears in his eyes was something else entirely.
Beside her, Eli noticed them too.
His little face immediately turned concerned.
"Papa?"
Leo barely had time to look at him before Eli reached up with his tiny hands and carefully wiped at his father’s cheek.
"Papa, don’t cry."
The innocent concern in his son’s voice nearly made Leo even more emotional.
He gently caught Eli’s little hand and pressed a kiss against his palm.
"I’m all right, Big Champ."
"But you have tears," Eli insisted, looking up at him with worried eyes.
Leo gave a small, emotional laugh. "Yes, I do."
"Why?"
Leo glanced at Bella, who was now looking at him with tears of her own gathering in her eyes.
"Because Papa is happy," he explained, brushing Eli’s hair away from his forehead. "Sometimes people cry when they’re very happy too."
Eli considered this carefully before nodding. "Oh."
Then he leaned forward and hugged his father’s arm.
"Okay, Papa. Be happy."
That was all it took for Leo’s expression to soften completely.
He kissed Eli’s head before turning back toward Bella.
"...Leo," she whispered, her voice trembling.
Her eyes were shining and she reached for his hand.
Leo immediately took it, gently threading his fingers through hers.
"Bunny, don’t cry," he murmured, though his own eyes were still wet.
Bella let out a small, tearful laugh. "You’re the one who started crying!"
"I know," Leo said.
"And now you’re telling me not to?"
"I know that too."
She laughed again and Leo smiled at the cute sound of her laugh.
For a few precious seconds, the two of them simply looked at each other, their hands intertwined, sharing a happiness that neither could fully express in words.
Then a familiar cry suddenly rang out from the other side of the room.
"Waaah! Waaah!"
Leo turned his head.
His daughter was crying in Jay’s arms... .
Jay tried gently rocking her, but the little girl only cried louder. He passed her to Alessandro, hoping her grandfather might be able to soothe her but she continued fussing. Jace tried next, speaking to her in a playful voice, yet that didn’t seem to help either.
The little girl’s tiny hands moved restlessly and then one of them stretched in Leo’s direction.
Jay noticed immediately.
He looked at the baby, then at Leo and his face broke into a grin.
"Bro! Your princess is finally missing you!"
Leo blinked.
For a moment, he didn’t move.
Then he looked at his daughter, who was still crying with her little hand reaching toward him.
Jay walked over and carefully handed the baby to him.
"Here. Go save your princess."
Leo accepted his daughter, supporting her tiny head as he brought her close to his chest.
And the moment she settled into his arms, the crying stopped.
The room fell silent for half a second and a breathtakingly beautiful smile appeared on his face that made him look even more handsome.
His gray eyes warmed as he looked down at the little girl resting peacefully against him.
"Oh, Princess..."
He sounded so relieved that Jay immediately began laughing.
"Look at him! He’s smiling like he just won the lottery!"
"Shut up, Jay," Leo replied, without even looking at him.
But the smile remained.
He gently brushed his finger against his daughter’s cheek, watching her tiny face relax as she settled more comfortably in his arms.
"Awwaaa," the baby bubbled.
Leo’s heart melted all over again.
"There you are," he whispered affectionately. "Papa’s little girl."
He bent his head and kissed her forehead, looking far too pleased with himself now.
Then, unable to resist, he glanced toward Jay with a smug expression.
"See? She missed me."
Jay stared at him.
"Bro, she cried for approximately thirty seconds. You were standing right there."
"She missed me."
"Who knows, she is crying because she is tired because she just landed on earth."
"I feel you’re jealous."
"JEALOUS OF WHAT?!"
Bella burst into laughter from the bed, while Eli giggled beside her.
Leo ignored them all, his attention returning to the little girl in his arms.
His daughter moved her tiny hand against his chest, making another soft sound.
"Awwaaa..."
Leo smiled down at her.
He had never imagined that something so small could make him feel so much love, or that a tiny baby who couldn’t even lift her head properly could have such complete control over his heart.
Eventually, the others decided to leave the room and give Leo and Bella some time together with their newborns.
Lina kissed Bella’s forehead before leaving, while Alessandro gave his son a proud pat on the shoulder. Jay and Jace, of course, couldn’t leave without making a few teasing remarks about Leo’s newfound obsession with his little princess.
Leo ignored them all.
He had more important things to do.
He had three of his favorite people to look after.
And Eli, naturally, had no intention of leaving his mumma’s side.
The little boy remained seated beside Bella, occasionally glancing at his newborn brother with an expression full of curiosity. Every now and then, he would look toward his father and sister before returning his attention to the tiny boy lying beside his mother.
Meanwhile, Bella was beginning to feel the exhaustion of the delivery catching up with her.
Her eyelids grew heavier with every passing moment. She tried blinking several times, determined to stay awake a little longer so she could spend more time looking at her babies but her body was clearly asking her to rest.
