His Genius Wife Is A Superstar Chapter 1656: Speechless Jin Liwei

"Pa's not coming?" Marjorie Chua-Ferrer questioned, appearing suddenly. Her husband, Paul Ferrer, and their two youngsters stood by her side.
Reina let out a weary sigh and clicked her tongue. "That bastard from the main family insisted on having a business meeting today with Yehan and your father, that's why they can't come today."
"That old man has always been so full of himself," Marjorie whispered under her breath. "Kids, greet your grandmother and your Aunt Linda."
The two children approached their grandmother and aunt, taking their hands and pressing them against their own foreheads in a respectful gesture.
"Bless you, my dears," Reina replied, affectionately pinching her grandchildren's cheeks.
"Where's Auntie Iris and Uncle Liam, Grandma?" the daughter of Marjorie and Paul inquired. "Are they here yet?"
Reina gave a soft chuckle. "You're always looking for your Auntie Iris and Uncle Liam first before your actual biological Uncle Dom. Why is that?"
"Because Auntie Iris and Uncle Liam give the best presents ever!" her grandson chirped.
His sister chimed in, "Yeah! And also, Uncle Dom always orders me and my brother to get him food! He eats a lot! Our hands always ache whenever we have to bring him food! So heavy!"
Reina shook her head, laughing. "You two need to behave today. This is an important day for your Auntie Iris and Auntie Linda, okay? Nobody should ruin it for them, do you understand?"
"Okay, Grandma!"
"We understand, Grandma. Don't worry. My brother and I will be very good today."
Paul gave his mother-in-law a reassuring look. "Don't worry, Ma. I'll watch your grandkids like a hawk. They won't bother anyone."
Reina nodded in satisfaction. She had specifically briefed the family to address her son's employers only as "Iris" and "Liam" while in the public eye. Using "Xiulan" and "Liwei" was reserved for private moments. Since they were treated like family, there was no reason to give the public more excuses to prying into the Chua family's intimate ties with the billionaire Jin couple.
It was fortunate that the Chua family remained fiercely loyal and united. Whenever Reina or Domingo issued a command, the rest of the clan followed without question.
The idea of betraying Iris Long and Jin Liwei never entered their minds. The couple had provided so much for the Chua family that only an ungrateful soul would consider treachery. Reina and Domingo had raised their descendants to value loyalty above all else.
Naturally, when she referred to "her" Chua family, she excluded the distant relatives belonging to the main branch and other offshoots.
Ever since the connection between her son, Dominic Chua, and the billionaire Jin Liwei and his wife Iris Long became public knowledge, a swarm of so-called "relatives" had been pestering them, desperate for an introduction to the powerful couple.
Reina and Domingo consistently turned them away with various excuses. It was only because Lin Yehan personally approached her husband that Domingo agreed to introduce him to a distant cousin.
This particular cousin belonged to the main branch of the Chua lineage. They were currently the wealthiest and most arrogant of all the Chua branches, though they also possessed the most extensive business and political networks in the nation.
Because of those connections, Domingo decided to facilitate the meeting between Lin Yehan and the cousin despite their haughtiness.
"Ma, do you think that the old man from the main branch would cheat Yehan?" Marjorie asked, her voice tinged with worry.
Before Reina could respond, Paul intervened. "We don't need to worry about that. Yehan is no pushover. He's a tycoon in his own right. Besides, isn't Liam here as well? If there's something that Yehan can't solve on his own, which I doubt will happen, there's still Liam as his backing. That old man from the main branch might be a bigshot here, but he's nothing in front of a world-class billionaire like Liam. If that old man knows what's good for him, he shouldn't think about cheating Yehan. Besides, Pa trusts his character enough to introduce him to Yehan. Even if he's arrogant, surely he won't be dumb enough to make a powerful enemy."
"That makes sense," Marjorie admitted, though her brow remained furrowed.
Reina sighed and nodded in agreement. "You're right. Your father also said the same thing. I just can't stand the main branch's arrogance. They're not even royalty! Hmph!"
"Calm down, Ma," Linda said, gently rubbing her mother's back to soothe her. "Everything's going to be okay. Let's just trust in Pa's judgment."
The family's private talk was cut short by Linda's assistant.
"I have to go," Linda announced. "The celebrities are starting to arrive. I have to greet them. Dom and I will time it so that Iris and Liam will arrive after these celebrities."
"Save the best for the last, huh?" Marjorie remarked.
"Of course," Linda replied with a smile. "Only the best for the big boss."
###
Today’s grand launch was the ultimate stage for Linda Chua to showcase her marketing expertise. Even though a project of this magnitude was a first for her, her professionalism, ambition, and relentless work ethic proved her capabilities.
The grand opening of Orchidia Philippines was the sole topic of conversation across all radio and television news outlets.
Social media feeds of models, influencers, and celebrities were completely dominated by Orchidia Philippines content.
For several days, Orchidia Philippines and its launch event had been the primary headline in both magazines and newspapers.
Linda had spared no effort to guarantee the success of the launch—all with the official blessing of Chairman Iris Long.
The guest list included famous stars and rising talents alike.
Linda had considered inviting the cast of "Ready, Set, Lunch Party," but their daily filming commitments made it impossible. Attending the Orchidia event would have caused them to be late for their noon-time broadcast. Despite their absence, the cast and crew of the show sent several massive floral arrangements to the Orchidia Philippines headquarters to offer their congratulations.
Once her team confirmed that every invited guest was present, Linda let out a massive sigh of relief.
She had been concerned that some high-profile celebrities with diva reputations might show up late and ruin the schedule. Fortunately, she had carefully selected stars known for their professionalism, and seeing them arrive on time confirmed her choices.
Now, it was time for the main event to begin.
###
Temporary canopy tents were erected outside the headquarters to protect the massive waiting crowd from the weather.
Rain or shine, the event had to proceed as planned.
Fans were still buzzing with adrenaline after catching glimpses of their favorite local influencers and stars.
The Black Stars were particularly electric with anticipation. They were dying to see their Boss Iris. Many had traveled from far-off provinces and cities just for a chance to see her in person, and they weren't about to let the opportunity slip by.
Finally, a motorcade of luxury vehicles pulled up and came to a halt in front of the building.
The atmosphere changed instantly. Based on the way the Orchidia executives and Linda emerged, coupled with the sudden surge in security personnel, it was clear that the true star had arrived.
There was only one person who could command such a presence.
When people thought of Orchidia, only one face came to mind.
The Black Stars cranned their necks, desperate for a first look at the super VVIP they had waited hours to see.
As familiar faces began to step out of the cars, the Black Stars erupted. The air was filled with deafening cheers and screams.
Fan club leaders immediately stepped in to maintain order among the members.
"No pushing! Remember, we are the Black Stars! We are disciplined! We are orderly! We should never bring shame to our dear Boss Iris!"
The fans, who had briefly lost their composure, immediately regained their senses.
"That's right! We're Black Stars!"
Police officers, security, and volunteers were stunned. They had struggled to manage the crowds for the earlier celebrities, some even sustaining bruises from fans who nearly toppled the barricades. Yet here were these fans, dressed in matching suits, disciplining themselves. If every crowd behaved like this, their jobs would be effortless.
"Ah, here she comes!" a voice cried out.
Iris Long turned toward her fans, waving gracefully while leaning on her husband's arm. Her entire look today whispered "classic." From her elegant, simple up-do and polished makeup to her luxurious, flowing wrap dress, she was the picture of grace.
She wore minimal jewelry, allowing her natural aura and beauty to take center stage.
The effect was undeniable.
Even with all the famous celebrities who had arrived earlier, no one could dispute that Iris Long was the most captivating person there.
Every eye was fixed on her—and her stunning escort.
"Damn, is this couple for real?" a photographer from the entertainment press muttered, his finger never leaving the shutter button.
Iris signaled to her fans that she would see them later, as she needed to enter the building.
"Go ahead, Boss Iris! We'll buy Orchidia products!"
"We love you, Boss Iris! You're so beautiful!"
"CEO Jin, you're so handsome! Can Boss Iris be my wife instead?"
Jin Liwei was leading his wife up the steps when those bold words reached his ears. He stopped in his tracks and locked eyes with the person—a woman—who had shouted.
"No, you can't," he declared in a deep, serious tone. "She can only be my wife. Not anyone else's. Over my dead body."
Instead of being intimidated, the bold fan just giggled. "I know! I'm just joking! Then, can Boss Iris and CEO Jin be my parents instead?"
"Pft!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
"I want to be their baby, too!!!"
"Adopt me instead, Boss Iris and CEO Jin! I promise to honour you as my father and mother! I just want a mansion! Oh, and unlimited nightly lullabies from Mommy Iris. My chronic insomnia will surely be cured. Hehehe!"
Jin Liwei was left completely speechless.
