The group continues their strategy of trading healing marks for information with corporations. They learn more about the Godking Starless Sky and the System War. Later, they encounter the Aurate Consortium, a much more powerful organization, and attempt to trade for information about bearing a god's stigma, but the protagonist refuses to give up personal samples.
