Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1722: Chapter 1722. Evil Source Sect Breaks Free.
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
After looking around the massive altar, Andrea asked a question. "How do we set it free?"
The red chains looked incredibly tough, and releasing a demonic weapon from its sealed state was never a good idea. Only with a proper plan could they proceed. This time, Mirrory took the lead.
She floated around the place, her energy covering the surroundings. "Hm… This halberd is tightly bound to this space. For instance, this entire sub-dimension was created long before the Source Evil Sect was trapped."
Andrea crossed her arms. "So, this place was used by those who trapped them instead of being created by them?"
Mirrory confirmed it. "Indeed. This entire place is to seal the weapon, and the others just threw them here and moved the entire realm into that drawer, sealing it with the formations outside."
Kali looked up at Valeria. "Do you think this is a good idea, Valeria?"
Valeria was unsure. "I have seen that weapon being used in the past. If I remember correctly… The last time I saw it on the battlefield was around ten million years ago."
Mirrory nodded. "It was around that time. I recalled that an Evil God killed its user, and the weapon went berserk, becoming corrupted. Both the Evil God and the weapon merged into a Natural Catastrophe."
Her gaze moved toward Tatyana. "That Evil God was using an Emotion Consuming technique, so they became a hurricane of slaughter. Even the Main Heavens were involved at the end, together with a Saint."
Yasenia's eyes moved back and forth between them, her sharp mind reaching a conclusion quickly. "...are you practicing something similar, Tatyana?"
Her tone was incredibly serious. Tatyana shook her head and dismissed it. "Not anymore. Don't worry."
Yasenia frowned. "So, you've practiced it."
Tatyana sighed softly and flew over, grabbing Yasenia's dragon head. "Love, do I look like someone without emotions?"
She seriously considered it, and it didn't seem like it. On the contrary, the more time they spent together, the more emotions Tatyana showed. '...Even if there was one, it seems that I can counteract the effects.'
Mirrory glanced away from Tatyana and Yasenia. That problem was something for them to fix. If she could help, she would, but she had done enough, at least for now.
"Either way. The problem with the Evil Slaughter Heaven Breaker is that it's uncontrollable. At least for the current you. It has, as you can see, a total of thirty three chains. Each set of three chains unlocks a deeper strength within it."
Mirrory touched the chains, and a monstrous wave of energy boomed outward. Andrea and the others stepped back.
"Did you feel that?"
Cold sweat dripped down Andrea's back. When the aura burst, she felt as if her mind were submerged in liquid Killing Intent. Even the Killing Intent Yasenia's Battle Flag could emit felt cute in comparison.
Mirrory smiled at Andrea. "So, you will need to relearn your battle style a little. From now on, your weapon will be a chained halberd. The chains are as durable as the current Draheart, so don't worry about them breaking."
There were no complaints. Even fully sealed, Andrea had felt her heart tremble. If even one chain was released, Andrea didn't feel the slightest bit confident in using the weapon.
Mirrory asked Tatyana, Angel, and Valeria for help. There was no need for anyone else.
The four of them moved, and Mirrory channeled her powers through Angel.
Profound Energy enveloped the massive altar, Mirrory standing in the middle. Her bright red hair flew around, her emerald-like eyes glowing deeply. "[Divine Truth: Liberation]."
WHOOM!!!
The halberd, if even for a second, opened its eyes. Everyone's breath caught in the back of their throats. The full-blown aura was so powerful it stunned everyone's soul, including Yasenia's and even Tatyana's.
Thankfully, it lasted only for an instant. Yasenia took a deep breath, her claws and pupils sharpened as she looked around, her heart pounding. If even for just that instant, Yasenia felt death breathing down her neck.
Andrea snapped back to her senses and noticed the mountain-sized halberd was gone, shrunk to normal size in Mirrory's hands. Mirrory looked at it and spun it around. "Too many chains. Let's merge them for now. We can separate them later when you want to break them. How many do you think is not too many, Andrea?"
Swallowing to moisten her dry throat, Andrea asked. "Um… Is it okay for me to use this?"
Mirrory looked over and smiled contemptuously. "Of course not. You are a weak and useless woman who can't really accept a challenge, after all. Your inferiority complex is what will hold you back for the rest of your…"
Mirrory didn't even finish her words before Andrea snatched the weapon from her hands. "There is no need to provoke me like that."
Andrea glanced at her and sighed. "Also, I know you don't mean it."
Mirrory blinked and laughed. "Alright, alright. I was just messing around. I thought you became truly afraid." She moved over and patted Andrea's head. "I really didn't mean it. But that doesn't mean it isn't your biggest flaw, Andrea. Be careful and never let it consume you, alright? Inferiority Complex is one of the most dangerous negative emotions because it feeds on itself."
Andrea nodded seriously with a smile. "Thank you. I will."
"Give it back now." Mirrory took the halberd and hummed. "I believe that three chains that sprout from its back like a tail are perfect, right? You never really used the bottom of your halberd to attack, so adding them there won't be an inconvenience. These chains can stretch incredibly long as well, and as I said, are basically indestructible."
Andrea watched Mirrory's fingers merge the thirty three chains into three, and she got her new weapon. "Alright. We have the first half of the complete set."
Mirrory clapped and glanced at Andrea, smirking. "Now let's get you the second set."
"Right… There is an armor as well…"
A wry smile was plastered on her face as she spoke. She felt that these two things were somewhat above her pay grade. Still, she had to do what she had to do. 'If I want to keep up with Yasenia, I must risk it.'
As she looked down on her new weapon, a dragon's face lowered over her shoulder. Andrea raised her hand to pat her and nuzzle with it. "I know. Don't worry. I won't be reckless. Also, I have your treasure to practice, don't I?"
Mirrory glanced toward Yasenia's Dantian. "Sui Xing, do you think the copies can simulate the weapon? Or do you need my help?"
Sui Xing appeared, elegant and handsome. He nodded confidently. "As long as you don't break more than half of its chains, I can deal with it. If you do, I might need to upgrade myself. Well, Yasenia will probably find a way to do that."
Yasenia flapped happily. "That's great. We are good for a while."
Kali glanced at Yasenia and asked. "Still… Are you sure, love? Remember that this treasure is something they all want. If you take it, we are going to be in trouble."
"First come, first served," Yasenia repeated the Demonic Leader's words. Her eyes were sharp and somewhat ruthless. "If they want to steal what belongs to Andrea, it won't be as easy."
The girls sighed, smiling, and prepared themselves. This Royal Hunt seemed bound to be a touch more action-packed than they expected.

Outside, Gao Tianmo moved quickly through the palace, followed by the rest of his people. "To think we'd fail just before we succeeded. How long has it been since we were sealed?"
Another shadow answered, her voice clearer than his, but not pleasant. "Tianmo, we've lost almost everything. We should avoid conflict and escape. I can sense some of our Lords are still alive. One of them is rather near as well, while most of the others are dormant."
Gao Tianmo closed his eyes, used a secret technique, and instantly noticed what the woman said. "Your senses remain as sharp as ever, Hong Yuxue. Since that's the case, let's move. There are many people in this palace we could use to feed others, but isn't it better if we take them from outside?"
Hong Yuxue agreed. "Still, what about those below? Perhaps we can take advantage of it."
"Forget it." Gao Tianmo shook his head. "That labyrinth below is easier to enter than to leave. If this generation's Emperor is anything like the one we faced, staying longer than we already have might be dangerous."
"Got it."
Activating their techniques, they all slipped past the walls and flashed outside, speeding into the distance. The formations tried to stop them, but they were mostly useless. The formations were too busy with those trapped inside to deal with the group of sealed beings.

In the Royal Palace, the Emperor was sitting on his throne when he felt a slight disturbance. His eyes opened, strength bursting forth from them. "...Trouble."
Even if he wanted to, catching them was not easy. "Thankfully, that dragon girl warned us. We won't be taken by surprise. Still, it's displeasing. Who freed such beings knowingly?"
Glancing toward the Royal Hunt area, he failed to pierce the formation around the palace with his Spiritual Sense. So, he gave up. Instead, his gaze landed on the Empress, indifferent. 'I wonder if it will go as you planned? Well, even if it does, I doubt you can do much to them.'
Closing his eyes again, the Emperor focused on further refining his comprehension of the [Law] he was understanding.

Down in the Labyrinth, the groups below had met and gathered together, forming alliances even between Demons and Divines.
The Labyrinth was that troublesome.
The Half-Steps at the lead were all trying their best to come up with ideas to leave the place and go get the true treasure hiding in these ruins. Among the bunch, there were some who had decided not to wait for Tatyana's pendants, and they were full of regret.
Some of them felt slightly resentful, though. 'If they knew something like this could happen, why didn't they say so? Would I have been impatient if I knew?'
The blame was misplaced, but in moments of regret, most found it difficult to own their mistakes. Thankfully, none of Xinlin's allies were stupid enough to blurt out that Tatyana's pendants would be ready in a few hours, not months or years.
As they discussed, a deep, unsettling darkness aura swept the place. Everyone paused and looked up, even when that aura passed by harmlessly.
"What happened?"
"That was a powerful presence."
"Strange… Even our Demon Race's darkness doesn't feel as ominous."
No one knew that it was the gazes of the liberated ghosts from 100,000 years ago that caused their unease. They also didn't know that the big prize hidden in these ruins was locked on by a certain greedy dragon, their group beelining toward it.
