Tatyana and the girls confronted the Orkwa Matriarch, a powerful Abyssal being. Despite her seductive attempts to charm and manipulate them, the group, immune to her powers, decided to execute her. After a brutal and one-sided battle, the Orkwa Matriarch was killed.

Glancing at the dying Orkwa Matriarch, some of the charmed current guardians reacted as if their very wives had been killed. Some of them even had cultivation deviations, spitting out blood from damaged meridians.

Murong Xianyu, the Fate-attributed ethereal woman, was one of the three who managed to maintain a perfectly clear mind from beginning to end. Her face was pale from effort, though. Protecting her mind was everything she could do for the entirety of the fight. The very shockwaves and constant mental ripples were far too hard on her.

She couldn’t help but gulp and speak to her Murong Ancestor. "L-Lord Murong, was this truly a trial we could’ve overcome?"

"Yes." His tone was flat. "Didn’t we explain before that her strength would’ve been severely crippled after the Abyssal Human degenerated to an Abyssal Nightmare?"

He was speaking to her because, at least, Murong Xianyu managed to resist. So, he was somewhat relieved that she didn’t embarrass him, like the others.

Among them, the Qin Ancestor was feeling the urge to kill his successor. He was the one who cried and had a cultivation deviation due to the Orkwa Matriarch’s fate.

Tatyana glanced at Han Luan, her breathing even and calm. This battle’s intensity was nothing compared to what they faced against the Abyssal Human. Moreover, since her second body shared souls with her main body, the attacks against her were like pebbles falling into the sea. ’I could’ve killed her alone.’

She thought so without any arrogance. Tatyana felt it while fighting that the Orkwa Matriarch had lost most of her physical means. For instance, those black chains that tried to drag the maid back when they discovered the seal never appeared once.

So, Tatyana, who had the soul resistance of a true Seventh Realm powerhouse, was completely immune to her antics. ’Being careful is never going overboard with Abyssal Monsters, though.’

Beyond Demons and Divines, whom she disliked, Abyss-related beings were something Tatyana utterly despised from the bottom of her very soul.

"So... Is it done?"

Han Luan looked at the dead Orkwa Matriarch with a flicker of complex emotions in her eyes. Then, glancing at Tatyana with gratitude, she nodded. "Yes. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. You’ve done us a tremendous favor we won’t ever be able to repay."

Tatyana shrugged. "We will just ransack the place until we are satisfied, so don’t worry."

Han Luan laughed, thinking it was a joke. "Alright. Since everything’s done, it is our time to go."

Tatyana looked at her and spoke. "You’ve done well all this time. Now go rest."

No matter what she thought of this civilization, the trap of sealing those who entered inside, and every negative thing, these eight extraordinary individuals managed to kill a disaster-level monster using all their means at their disposal.

It didn’t make Tatyana less annoyed or angry, but would also not distort the facts. Han Luan and the other seven smiled at Tatyana’s words. Han Luan glanced at their descendants and spoke. "As for them, if you find some mercy in your hearts, please forgive them. Either way, we won’t intervene with your decision. Take is as the last wish of an old grandma, haha."

Han Luan looked like a gorgeous woman, but her age, counting the sealing time, was well over two million years old. Tatyana smiled. "As I said before, their fate is in Yasenia’s hands. I don’t promise anything."

The eight guardians didn’t speak more and just smiled. "I wish you luck and happiness in your journey. Farewell."

Closing their eyes, the energy that composed the complex seal and secret realm was finally released. It was a gentle release using the rest of their souls as fuel. With this, the Death Dunes above would become a touch more hospitable.

The source of the calamity was gone, but the influence would remain. Still, at the very center, this Secret Realm would emerge to the surface and expand the area.

In a way, they would become the sole continent within the "sea of dunes."

This process was bound to be slow, though. Tatyana expanded her senses outward, piercing the now-gone restrictions, and she quickly reached the place where they entered from. "The gates have opened... We can now leave."

This journey had been unexpected and full of tension. What started as a simple exploration escalated to the point that they had to put their lives on the line.

Tatyana stretched as she walked back toward Yasenia’s location. "That’s why you must be careful with Forbidden Realms. They are truly a pain in the ass where Heavenly Layer limits become nonsense. Who would’ve known that a Half-Step Transcendence powerhouse hid in the mid Exalted Heavenly Layer? Truly absurd."

Andrea chuckled. "Well, we gained quite a lot of benefits. So, I guess it was worth it."

Evelyn smirked at her. "I wonder if Yasenia thinks the same?"

Andrea laughed awkwardly. "Well... We’ll have to see. Still, it is true that the fight against the Abyssal Human was our biggest profit."

The girls didn’t deny her words. That fight allowed them to perfectly understand their current strength and develop skills to a higher realm. They didn’t go as far as having an enlightenment, but the effects would be similar as long as they digested the experiences over the next few years.

Kali glanced at the current guardians being dragged by the maids. "...You eight, I will say this to fulfill our promise with the original guardians. Yasenia is furious. Not just furious; she is angry to the point that innocent blood might flow like rivers if you do nothing. So, I hope that when the time comes, you will all understand what to do to save this place. This is my best advice."

Murong Xianyu was confused. "Angry? When did she show it?"

Kali glanced at her with a sigh. "Yasenia’s ability to hide her emotions is not something the likes of you can see through. I won’t repeat myself. Listen to my advice or not, whatever happens next is not our problem."

Then, she stopped paying them any attention. Instead, she turned to listen to what Evelyn was saying with a passionate face.

"...that massive bounce. When I pierced through the Orkwa Matriarch, I truly felt like coughing blood. How could I destroy such scaly treasures? What a shame that it was a must-kill target. Otherwise, I might’ve forced my soul to create another contract slot besides Sierra."

Sierra used her wolf tail to slap her back harshly. "What are you even saying?"

Evelyn complained while rubbing her back. "What? You are also a wild, big-breasted beauty. Although not at the level of Kali or Angel, you are up there with Andrea! There is no need to envy that monster, even if she had a superior body."

It was hard to recall amid Andrea’s other prominent features, but her feminine curves were something that left even Evelyn drooling. Meanwhile, Sierra felt her veins bulge. The urge to slap Evelyn and send her flying straight into the Orkwa Matriarch was almost overflowing.

To change the subject, Sierra glanced at Tatyana. "Lady Tatyana, what will you do with that monster’s corpse?"

"I’ve already sent it to the underworld. If I can reanimate her as an undead, it will be quite a powerful asset. Sadly, I doubt it will work. Abyss beings are quite difficult to resurrect through necromancy."

Valeria sighed. "What if you make a mistake and reanimate her?"

Tatyana laughed. "Her soul is more than gone. That’s impossible. What I am trying to use is her body. Her body was destroyed for the most part from our attacks, but what remains should be enough to analyze. Either way, this is a shot in the dark. Whether I hit or not is up to luck."

Cecile asked. "Why not use strong summons to fight the Abyssal Human back then?"

Someone of Tatyana’s caliber must’ve had Half-Step summons strong enough to deal with that monster. Tatyana shook her head. "Summons are not that reliable. Mine, much less. In a place where a single mistake could cause a disaster, it is better to rely on ourselves."

Cecile nodded. It was a good explanation. Meanwhile, walking by Angel’s side, Ebirah hugged her arm and smiled. "You were so cool when fighting, Angel!"

Angel giggled. "You are also very strong, Ebirah. You’ve developed so much, and your defense is truly high."

Ebirah pouted, her gorgeous, crystal pink tail flopping up and down behind her. "But I don’t have powerful offensive methods. I can defend a lot, but attacking doesn’t suit me in the slightest."

Behind her, a man with a wild look and molten-colored slit eyes patted her head. His long black hair was gathered in a handsome low ponytail. "Aren’t I there to cover it? We are both Andrea’s companions, so we each cover two important roles."

Ebirah squinted, smiling prettily. "Hehe. Thank you, Vairon."

Angel looked back and forth between them, her blue eyes momentarily gleaming with interest. She asked Vairon, curious. "By the way, Vairon, what do you think of Andrea mounting Yasenia when her inheritance develops?"

Vairon spoke with a faint smile. "I think it is fantastic. If Andrea and Lady Yasenia can combine their strengths, they will become a terrifying duo."

He didn’t feel any discomfort. Yasenia was a dragon much superior to himself. His personal opinion of Yasenia already overflowed with respect, and then his blood amplified those feelings. For Vairon, Yasenia was a dragon he would not mind lowering his head for.

Angel smiled. She could sense 100% honesty coming from that sentence. She wanted to tease Vairon and ask what he felt about Ebirah, but she didn’t want to interrupt the budding but special relationship that was slowly developing between them.

The girls arrived back to where Yasenia and the 100 maids guarding her stood. Soluna was still in Yasenia’s arms, helping her stabilize her body. She was in a precarious state, not because of danger, but because her comprehension during the two enlightenments had become a touch burdensome.

So, she needed to stabilize her body and later slowly digest the gains while cultivating. This would cause her cultivation speed to soar rather rapidly once she began. Cultivation was both a matter of gathering energy and gaining insight, so with one of them overflowing, the other was bound to follow.

Soluna opened her comfortably closed eyes to look over. Her two deep blue pupils, glittering with starlight, shone gently. The Sun and Moon pupils in her eyes leaked faint Celestial light, giving her an utterly mysterious and profound presence. "You’ve returned. How did it go?"

Tatyana flew over, sitting by Yasenia’s side and answering. "Everything went well. How long do you think Yasenia will need to stabilize?"

Soluna pondered and answered. "We will need around half a year. Once half a year passes, we can stop and continue later without any loss."

"Half a year..." Tatyana looked at the guardians, her red eyes smiling a touch coldly. "That’s enough to explore this area and find the valuables."
