Heaven, Earth, Me Chapter 1641. End of the Strength Trial and Results.
Previously on Heaven, Earth, Me...
Having sent the Golden Guardian flying, Yasenia floated mid-air and focused on feeling her body’s reactions and energy. Her meridians were stretched to their very limits, carrying the egregious amounts of energy through them as fast as they could. Her muscles were filled to the brim with body energies, and her soul was strained as soul energy flooded it endlessly.
It truly felt as if her entire body would explode in the very next second if she wasn’t careful.
“[Celestial Genesis Tribulation Core] is strong, but it’s not something I can use at will.”
The Natural Treasure was growing together with her. If even the [Celestial Pearl] was somewhat burdensome, the current [Celestial Genesis Tribulation Core] was strong enough to make even Yasenia’s body scream in pain.
Even then, Yasenia’s facial muscles didn’t even twitch, her celestial blue eyes crackling with genesis lightning. Her body, wrapped in the fluttering celestial gown, appeared nothing short of divine.
As she felt the Golden Guardian shoot out of the dust cloud, Yasenia stepped forward. A gorgeous pegasus, entirely made out of stars, manifested around her. With her lunge and the pegasus’s wings moving, Yasenia collapsed space ahead of her through sheer pressure alone and closed the distance.
The battle flag swung, and the Golden Guardian tried to block with an attack of its own. However, the current Yasenia was not someone that the Golden Guardian could face.
With celestial genesis lightning crackling and devouring the surroundings, Yasenia’s battle flag flashed horribly quickly.
BOOM!
The golden sword, together with the arms holding it, were blasted skyward from the recoil. As the Golden Guardian looked down, baffled, Yasenia moved forward while meeting its gaze.
Her leg raised and swept, landing straight on the Golden Guardian’s neck.
BANG!
CRACK!
The sound of armor crunching was loud and clear. Yasenia’s leg sank into the armored neck of the Golden Guardian, transmitting the catastrophic strength of her leg to the being.
Under her tyrannical strength, the Golden Guardian flew sideways, crashing against the ground several times as it bounced.
Yasenia didn’t rest this time; her body accelerated, overcoming the bouncing Golden Guardian and sweeping her war flag upward.
BOOM!
The Golden Guardian soared, and Yasenia landed firmly on the ground, her foot digging into the ground as spiderwebs spread out in the solid structure.
Then, crouching slightly, Yasenia took a deep breath and looked up.
“[Celestial Dragon Breath].”
Blue light was accompanied by a deafening dragon roar and endless starlight. The catastrophic dragon breath annihilated all in its way, covering the distance between the soaring Golden Giant and Yasenia in a fraction of a second.
The breath arrived, and the world turned white for a moment. Space imploded for a second, utterly annihilated, and then the force of the attack exploded outward and swallowed everything.
The shockwave spread out, causing everything to wobble as if the world was about to collapse.
Yasenia raised her hand, easily blocking the shockwave with [Celestial Aegis].
Releasing a breath, the [Celestial Genesis Tribulation Core] stopped spinning rapidly, settling down as it began flowing around the giant star in the middle of Yasenia’s dantian. A faint groan escaped Yasenia as her muscles, meridians, and even soul ached.
‘I activated it for just a few seconds, and I feel as if I am going to have muscle aches for a week.’
Yasenia rolled one of her shoulders as she rolled it, her dragon tail swishing behind her as she glanced up. “Hm… Is it alive?”
A few moments later, a gory mess fell from the sky. The Golden Guardian’s body had been half-destroyed, the rest of the armor carrying a pure white color from the sheer heat emitting from it.
The Guardians felt their eyelids tremble as they felt their energy spinning backward. ‘T-The battle took fifteen seconds.’
And of those fifteen seconds, ten were Yasenia preparing to attack and the aftermath.
BANG!
The Golden Guardian, or what remained of it, crashed onto the ground and didn’t move further. Yasenia floated up and approached, crossing her arms. “Hm… I didn’t expect the attack to be this strong. Can it be repaired?”
During her training against her copies, Yasenia had used the [Celestial Genesis Tribulation Core] a few times. It was her power, so she needed to control it perfectly as well. However, back then, since the one fighting her was another Yasenia using the exact same treasure, she couldn’t really gauge her strength accurately.
Tatyana appeared by Yasenia’s side together with Mirrory. Both seniors glanced at the Golden Guardian for a few seconds and then looked at Yasenia with a complicated expression.
“The core is broken.”
Hearing Mirrory’s words, Yasenia grimaced. “Ah… I broke it.”
Tatyana sighed and crossed her arms. “Couldn’t you hold back a little? After the first [Sun’s Crushing Blow], you had already won. There was truly no need to go further.”
Yasenia bit her lip lightly, a touch of guilt appearing in her heart. “I felt so… free. I couldn’t control myself. Sorry.”
Her emotions had taken the best of her. Yasenia fully admitted her faults. Tatyana patted her back softly. “It’s not your fault. Controlling oneself in such a situation is hard. The fact that you stopped after the dragon breath shows that you didn’t lose it. You were just excited and attacked a touch mindlessly.”
Mirrory flicked Yasenia’s forehead. “Try meditating a bit more often. Use that Natural Treasure in the training area and then sit cross-legged. Try to feel what your body is going through more closely. Because of your carelessness, we lost one strong combatant.”
Yasenia had nothing to say. It was the truth. Looking up at the guardians, she bowed slightly. “I am sorry. I’ll try to compensate with as much effort as needed.”
What could they say? Getting angry here would be stupid. Yasenia defeating a Golden Guardian so quickly showed that her value was higher than the golem. Only if Yasenia refused to help would they gain the excuse to become angry. Even then, getting angry toward someone who could destroy half and melt the other half of a Golden Guardian was not a very intelligent move.
“...There is no need to apologize. You’ve shown your strength, and this result is just part of fate. As long as you are willing to help, losing one or two of these is not a problem.”
Yasenia knew that her words were meant to sound good. Still, she could only accept them. “I understand. Thank you for your generosity, Senior.”
Then, the dragoness finally turned to look at her other dears. The commotion in her battle arena was large, but thankfully, it didn’t interfere much with her lovers. The shockwave had been annoying, for sure. However, since the girls understood Yasenia deeply, they had been preparing just in case.
So, more than bothering them, it gave all of them a chance to take advantage.
Yasenia rubbed her chin and moved back toward the maids, sitting on a summoned couch and hugging Angel. “Comfortable~.”
Angel laughed and leaned back, feeling the glorious softness of her lover’s ample bosom.
While the rest of the individuals avoided Yasenia and refrained from commenting on her battle out of sheer fear, the girls continued their battles for a long while.
For starters, the girls who could not defeat the Golden Guardians fought until they surpassed the battle records. Seeing that it would take a long time to decide a victor, Andrea decided to give up at the 100-hour mark.
She could continue fighting, but doing more would not gain her much more. She had used those 100 hours of combat to refine her own battle style and digest what she learned in Yasenia’s training grounds.
Meanwhile, Evelyn continued to fight with perfect accuracy for a long time. She attacked, attacked, and attacked again, slowly chipping away at the Golden Guardian’s defenses.
After 80 hours of combat, the Golden Giant looked quite battered from being hit by Evelyn’s powerful lightning attacks. Sadly, her focus wavered for a moment, and she got hit once by the Golden Guardian’s attacks.
It was not a direct hit, and Evelyn managed to defend. Nevertheless, that attack caused enough injury to lower her speed a notch. In her fight, that small difference was like a small domino pushing a slightly larger one.
Eventually, at the 98th hour mark, Evelyn surrendered after dodging an attack that almost split her in half. She dodged with pure reflexes and instinct.
Meanwhile, Cecile and Kali decided to continue fighting for a little bit longer. Cecile was making good progress, and Kali was also weakening the enemy rather quickly. With her ability to make her summons evolve with time, the Golden Guardian found itself in a lot of trouble.
By now, the enemies it was fighting were not fodder it could slash with a single sword swing. They were agile, with corrosive attacks and long-range techniques. Moreover, the summons had plenty of staggering abilities, using a mix of Evelyn and Cecile’s approaches.
In the end, after a grueling 128 hours, Kali managed to defeat the Golden Guardian. Cecile also did so after 179 hours.
Yasenia didn’t mind waiting, so they stayed put and observed Cecile’s fighting. Naturally, during this time, the maids fought with the Golden Guardians as well. There was one free Golden Guardian, and those defeated were repaired rather quickly.
As long as the core was not destroyed, regenerating the rest was a matter of hours.
Yasenia welcomed her dears one after another with big hugs and plenty of pampering. Only after being showered by Yasenia’s kisses and love did the girls relax and sit down on the sofa she summoned.
“With this, the Strength Trial has been completed. Now, we will summon your results in front of you. Please, check if you’ve managed to pass or not.”
Since no one other than Yasenia’s group dared to challenge the final strength trial, it was a matter of course that none of them were chosen. Meanwhile, among Yasenia’s group, the girls found that their Wisdom, Will, Heart, and Strength tests were passed.
“Hm… Why did we fail the Value test?”
This was a result the Guardians couldn’t control, as the results were judged by the trial itself. So, seeing her fail the Values Test was not something to be angry about, only confused.
Hearing her words, one of the Guardians descended and spoke with Yasenia. “The trial with the King, you shouldn’t have hesitated. Attacking and killing all in that room was the answer the past guardians chose.”
Yasenia was speechless. “Why? That’s like burning a bridge that's somewhat unstable but still working.”
The guardian shook her head. “Even then, your Strength Trial is far too overwhelming, so you can consider yourself passed. Follow us; we need to talk.”
So, all of them moved, together with the maids, and appeared in a rather large room with a circular table.
