Yasenia and her group prepared for the Guardian Trials by training and researching for fourteen months. In the final weeks, Yasenia relaxed, spending time with her lovers and maids. As the trials approach, Yasenia learns about their categories: wisdom, values, will, heart, and strength, and decides to depart in four days.

The day of the Guardian Trial arrived, and the gates firmly closed opened. The large central structure was now glowing faintly. Yasenia looked at the large doors opening and showing a white space behind with a calm look. She was not flustered, even when the expected trials might become somewhat challenging for her.

"Alright. Let’s go meet these guardians. Be careful, dears."

There were records of deaths among participants, so the trial could be considered dangerous to a certain degree. So, with a firm nod, all the girls stepped forward together.

"Halt!"

Yasenia looked over as several people rushed over. "So brazen! This is not a trial you can participate in without the [Destiny Trial] mark! Go back before we stop being polite."

Yasenia blinked and spoke lightly. "We’ve all passed the [Destiny Trial]."

"Ha. Your core group perhaps has the strength, but are you saying that your servants have done so as well? Do you think we are..."

"Shut up."

Yasenia’s cold voice boomed out, causing the entire place to freeze for a moment. She had not come here for these nonsensical scenes. After causing them to freeze with a burst of her aura, Yasenia ignored them and stepped forward.

The maids and girls followed behind, while Dune stayed behind. Snake, Scorpion, and Fennec didn’t pass the trials, so Dune decided to stay back. Moreover, with Yasenia and the others participating, Dune knew that she had no chance at glory. After living with them for a few years, she had perfectly accepted that the dragon girl and those following her came from a completely different world.

It wasn’t until Yasenia’s group entered the white space that her aura stopped blocking the rest, causing some of the elders who had stopped her to want to rush over with anger. "You despicable tyrant! How dare you break..."

BANG!

The elder was blasted backward by the protective formation of the Guardian Trial, which only permitted those marked by the [Destiny Trial] to participate. Looking at their figures, Yasenia was somewhat confused. ’If there is a blocking mechanism, why did they jump to conclusions?’

The problem was that no one had tried to break into the Guardian Trial without the Destiny Trial’s recognition. So, people actually were unaware of the defensive formation.

The elders outside were confused and bewildered, but Yasenia ignored them and turned around. Their surroundings were truly... white. White ceiling, white walls, white floor. Pure white, which made Yasenia feel as if she had arrived in some blank world.

Tatyana spoke. "It is truly... unpleasant. Why so white? Can’t you use some contrast? If I were a mortal, my eyes might’ve gone blind."

Yasenia chuckled when someone approached them. "Hey, you. Do you think this is a place where you can speak as you please?"

Yasenia’s smile disappeared. ’What’s wrong today? Did I place a trouble magnet on my back or something?’

Annoyance built up in her heart as she glanced at the man approaching their group. The maids were already looking coldly. Making their Young Miss’s precious smile disappear was punished by Death!

If they had not been in the Guardian Trial, Doriel’s twitching wrist would’ve already sent a flying needle to the middle of his forehead.

"Do we know you? Can you not bother us?"

It was Evelyn who stepped forward. She was also annoyed that the smile on Yasenia’s face had disappeared. ’My wife looks so good smiling; why are you poking your nose here?’

The man snorted. "Do I need to know you? I am telling you, this is a sacred location, so don’t be a nuisance and wait silently. What kind of manners have you been taught to act like that in the Guardian Trial?"

Yasenia’s eyes chilled, but she didn’t act rashly. What if attacking other people counted as disqualification? Therefore, she didn’t attack; she only... looked at him.

"Hey. Look into my eyes."

The man sneeringly looked over, but when he did, Yasenia unleashed all her pressure onto him. It was not with the intent of causing damage, just with the intent to suppress him. Of course, Yasenia perfectly knew what kind of effect this would have.

The monstrous pressure of Yasenia’s dragon aura, soul strength, monstrous bloodline, and personal strength crashed against his psyche like a hammer against a brittle crystal wall.

The man’s eyes became hazy, and then he slumped backward.

The people looking were confused. From their perspective, Yasenia had glared at the man, and a second later, the man fell backward and fainted. Evelyn blinked. "What did you do?"

"I crushed his will. He will recover soon, but if he doesn’t recover from it, he will become plagued with heart demons. If he manages to overcome it, it will be like finding fortune in disaster. So, in a way, I’ve given him a very precious opportunity."

"Aha." Evelyn laughed. "A precious opportunity, I see. Would you so kindly give any of us that precious opportunity?"

Yasenia bonked her forehead. "How could I? Don’t say nonsense. If I want to train your psyche and will, I just need to drag you into an empty room."

The last sentence was spoken with a faint, seductive smile. Cecile asked, curious. "When does it start?"

Yasenia shrugged. "Who knows? This is quite an interesting space, though. Can you all feel anything beyond the walls?"

Cecile muttered. "It’s blocked."

"Yes. I can’t sense anything beyond the walls."

The maids had scattered for a moment, inspecting the area to find clues. After they returned, Anna spoke. "We found nothing, Young Miss."

Yasenia asked, tilting her head. "First trial is Wisdom... Do you think it has already started?"

"Not possible. The gates behind us are still open. It should start after they close, right?"

At Andrea’s comment, Yasenia hummed non-committally. "Just in case, do not lower your guards and search around. The only things besides the walls are individuals, so if you see someone suspicious, inform the rest."

Andrea and the rest nodded.

Time passed, and soon, three hours had gone by. During this time, more and more individuals entered the place, bringing the total to over 900. This number was quite impressive, given that those participating needed considerable strength and talent.

A low, rumbling sound occurred, and the wide open doors began closing. Yasenia muttered. "958 participants, us included. Without our numbers, 701 participants... There are 239 females and 462 males..."

Glancing at the closed door, a large mural appeared, and Yasenia started observing it together with the others. One maid pointed at the bottom. "Those images represent part of the war truth we’ve discovered."

Another maid pointed up at the top. "Those black markings show part of the Death Dunes environment outside."

Yasenia pointed around the mural. "The scenes are divided into eight sections. Eight is an important number since it is related to the number of guardians."

Tatyana tapped her chin and suddenly spoke aloud. "The eight guardians have served and protected. The outside is a ruin. We will be those who will continue to protect and follow the path of the guardian. We will be the ones who defeat and liberate us. We are the ones who will look at the twisted light and bury its source. She who became a mother will return to nothingness. Good and Evil clash, and we will protect good. Finally... The world collapsed once, but we can rebuild it."

Yasenia blinked and looked at the eight sections of the murals. What Tatyana spoke aloud was their overall meanings and situations. Once she did, the white room trembled and a door opened behind them.

The door seemed to direct them to an open, green expanse. A large grassland with a gentle breeze and short, sparse trees. Flower fields were present, but at the same time, a gloomy forest could be seen in the distance.

Yasenia looked at Tatyana and asked, stunned. "How did you know to say those words?"

"It’s not the words. It’s the intent." Tatyana smiled. "Did you not notice that I spoke in our language and not the local one?"

Yasenia’s eyes flickered, and she chuckled. "So... is this it for the Wisdom Trial?"

Tatyana shook her head. "I am not sure. A collective Wisdom Trial that lets everyone pass after one person resolves it? I am doubtful of it."

Kali smiled. "What if it was supposed to be solved by everyone, but we completed it without anyone else’s assistance?"

Tatyana pondered seriously. "That might be the case."

Yasenia looked as the people around them looked between them and the open door with caution. A woman not far away spoke from a distance. "Excuse me... What did that friend of yours say to open this door?"

The dragoness looked over, and the woman flinched, avoiding her gaze. The man who was struck by Yasenia’s presence had yet to wake up and was sprawled on the ground, causing those present to become fearful of meeting eyes with Yasenia.

"We spoke of what we see."

Did she need to answer? Yasenia felt that she didn’t.

Instead, giving them a big hint was better. If it was prohibited to share answers, Tatyana’s aloud solving would’ve been blocked.

If it was not prohibited but lowered their score or whatever they were using to rate them, speaking vaguely would not cause much of a problem. Even if it was the opposite, vaguely guiding someone could become an advantage.

They all stepped onto the grassland, and once they did, the door behind had disappeared at some point. "Hm...?"

Yasenia tilted her head, looking at how her maids appeared from "nowhere."

"Even with my gaze, I can’t pierce through the illusion? Or... is it really impossible to return?"

As she was about to walk back, one maid did so first. The maid crossed the "door" boundary, and nothing happened. She was still walking in the endlessly expanding grassland.

After the maid returned, Yasenia sighed. "Are we still in the Wisdom Trial or have we moved onto the Value Trial?"

There was no guidance, no open clues, and nothing to reference. "Now, the problem is... do we go toward the desolate expanse or the flourishing one?"

This grassland had two directions to walk. Like a large circle divided into two colors. In one direction, the girls could see that withered zone in the distance. Opposite to it, a large expanse of flower fields stretched beyond their view.

The people who had entered the area with Yasenia and the others didn’t move, waiting for their group’s decision. Anna spoke. "Young Miss. How about we maids separate into different directions?"

"What’s the point if those who fail and those who are correct disappear when they reach either side?"

Anna spoke softly. "It’s not guaranteed that we will disappear. We should be perfectly visible from the white room in our current position."

She was right. Yasenia had not been the first to enter, so she knew that those inside the white room with the door mural could look in their direction.

"Those in the white room were almost unable to see the flower field... Is this zone meant to test our character according to the direction we choose to move toward?"

Some people might move toward the middle of the bright zone, others the opposite, and some might walk close to the intersection between them. Yasenia rubbed her chin. ’What to choose...’
