Chen Tian, Sierra, and Zephyrith discuss Chen Tian's dangerous potential and his feelings for Evelyn. Evelyn, oblivious, learns about a mysterious, beautiful, and influential woman hijacking tailoring contests. They arrive at a grand contest venue, and Evelyn registers under a reversed name. Meanwhile, Yasenia and Alaia discuss Evelyn's whereabouts and Yasenia's plan to lure her out with enticing rewards.

As time marched forward, the competition commenced apace. On the morning of the event, all the participating tailors assembled in the heart of the grand arena, standing in formation. Evelyn, concealed by her disguise, took her place amongst them, solitary.

Presently, the presenter made their appearance on the stage, a smile gracing their lips as they donned a formal, elegant robe. "A warm welcome to our 321st competition since our establishment," they announced. "Today, we aspire to discover fresh talent, seeking one who might finally craft a dress to the Lady's satisfaction."

Evelyn's brow furrowed. 'So, the ultimate goal is merely to procure a suitable gown for that woman? Yet, if that were the sole reason, why would they bar more experienced tailors from entering?'

The more she absorbed the presenter's words, the more her suspicions swelled. 'Should I perhaps depart? Could this be a ruse orchestrated by some sinister sect?'

While these thoughts swirled, an immensely potent Spiritual Sense swept across the stage, causing even Evelyn to feel a faint tremor of unease.

'W-what manner of formidable being was that? And...' Evelyn's muscles tensed. 'Why is that entity's overwhelming Spiritual Sense so pointedly scrutinizing me!?'

It had been an age since Evelyn last felt such a palpable sense of inferiority, solely from another's aura. Though fear did not grip her this time, she held a firm conviction that her adversary would prove formidable.

The announcer, mid-explanation of the competition's protocols, abruptly ceased speaking, a mask of seriousness settling upon his features. It was evident that a private communication was taking place.

"Ahem. It appears fortune favors you all today. The Lady herself has deigned to grace us and announce the competition's rules! Please, extend a most enthusiastic welcome to Lady Ainesay!"

Evelyn blinked, the name resonating with a flicker of familiarity. Then, as all eyes turned expectant, a figure emerged from the rear of the theater, her footsteps a soft echo preceding her appearance.

Moments later, the collective gaze of the world settled upon the woman who graced the stage. She was adorned in a flowing, exquisite purple gown, delicate pink blossoms embroidered along the hem of its sweeping skirt. The dress boasted a side slit that parted with each graceful stride, revealing tantalizing glimpses of her plump thighs.

Her long tresses cascaded freely, a stark, captivating contrast to her skin, which glowed like the deep hue of night. A subtle luminescence emanated from her complexion, enhancing its already apparent softness and lending her exposed skin an almost ethereal quality.

But what truly commanded attention were not her sculpted contours, impressively pronounced to an almost unbelievable degree, but rather her face. A subtly upturned nose, seductive golden, almond-shaped eyes, a delicate jawline, lips possessing a natural, soft fullness, and, as if designed to ensnare every soul, a faint, alluring mole beneath her eye.

Her long lashes fanned gently with each slow blink, while the subtle curve of her lips acted as an irresistible lure, drawing gazes like a fisherman's hook.

Enchanting, tempting, carnal, yet above all, exuding an overwhelming feminine allure.

As she reached the center of the stage, she pivoted, her long, thick tail, ringed with gold and blue, swaying gracefully with her final movement.

"Greetings to all assembled. I am delighted you could attend this little contest I have devised for my amusement..."

While Yasenia spoke, Evelyn, lost within the throng, could only stare, her expression one of utter stupefication. Her mind had long since ceased functioning, her heart pounded erratically, and her limbs trembled uncontrollably.

In this moment, she felt less like the formidable cultivator she was, and more like an ordinary woman whose emotions had spiraled into a state of incapacitation.

Yasenia's rich, mellow voice barely registered in Evelyn's consciousness, its sound merely caressing her eardrums like a long-forgotten celestial melody. Overwhelmed by such a profound shock, Evelyn found herself utterly at a loss for what to do.

A powerful urge to rush forward and embrace Yasenia surged within her, yet the sheer, unadulterated beauty radiating from the woman instilled a measure of intimidation. Evelyn, a woman rarely one to hesitate, found herself gazing at the very individual who could make even the most resolute of ascetics falter with a mere smile, feeling as though she had regressed to the time of their first encounter.

Back then, she had approached Yasenia without a shred of shame, driven by the internal certainty that her efforts would ultimately yield no conventional success. Her sole objective was to forge a connection through her playful antics. Yet, beneath the surface, a palpable nervousness tightened its grip with each interaction.

It wasn't until much later, and only after Yasenia reciprocated her affections, that Evelyn began to shed that layer of ingrained self-doubt. Had Yasenia not shown her such great affection and consistently offered reassurance, Evelyn would have genuinely felt weighed down by the past.

However, that was no longer the case. Her own beauty had blossomed to a respectable degree. While not the kind to topple nations, her features were certainly memorable, and her figure, far from being gaunt, now possessed pleasing curves.

Meanwhile, on the stage, Yasenia continued her address on autopilot, a deep frown etched within her mind. 'Why hasn't my Dearest rushed into my arms yet?'

Indeed, despite the disguise, Yasenia had identified Evelyn in the throng from afar. Yasenia had anticipated Evelyn would rush to her, perhaps weeping or playfully mocking her as per their usual dynamic. However, a scenario Yasenia hadn't foreseen was Evelyn remaining motionless, like a rigid figure.

Her distinctive golden, slitted eyes couldn't resist darting periodically towards the plain woman with black hair and blue eyes, standing amidst the crowd. The disguise was, to be frank, remarkably effective. Had Yasenia not been so intimately acquainted with Evelyn’s unique aura, she might have overlooked her entirely.

’My dearest! Your wife is right here! Why aren’t you leaping into my arms!?’ As these thoughts raced through her mind, Yasenia’s own thoughts began to spiral. ’Is… is she displeased with me? Could it be… she no longer wishes to acknowledge me…?’

As these disquieting notions surfaced for a fleeting moment, Yasenia forcefully suppressed them. ’Utterly impossible! My Dearest adores me profoundly! How could she possibly ignore me? Perhaps… she is simply stunned? Or maybe she believes I haven’t recognized her?’

Meanwhile, within the assembled crowd, Sierra and Zephyrith observed Yasenia with their mouths agape. Sierra exclaimed, "Where did this woman suddenly appear from?"

Zephyrith, however, focused on Evelyn with a puzzled expression. "Sierra, is something amiss with Evelyn?"

"Hm? Now that you mention it…" Sierra quickly shifted her gaze and, utilizing their innate connection, gauged Evelyn’s emotional state. "Wow. She is absolutely frozen with fear."

Chen Tian, who had been momentarily lost in thought, frowned the instant he heard this. "Scared? Why would Evelyn be scared?"

Sierra turned to him, remarking, "Do you recall my words from earlier? Now is the time for you to refrain from any rash actions."

Zephyrith commented, "It appears Yasenia is nearing the end of her address."

Upon hearing this, Sierra glanced back toward the stadium with a hint of apprehension.

"…And thus, I offer my sincerest wishes for the best of luck to all the young talents in this competition."

As if breaking free from a trance, the spectators collectively snapped out of their stupor, erupting into enthusiastic applause. Some even tossed flowers and various items onto the stage, shouting a multitude of things towards Yasenia.

Yet, Yasenia offered no response. Instead, she remained on the stage, showing no inclination to depart.

As the clamor subsided, Yasenia’s eyes narrowed slightly, and she let out a silent, internal snort. ’If you refuse to come to me, do you presume I would hesitate to act myself?’

While Yasenia had envisioned a grand, memorable reunion, she absolutely refused to let those plans impede her from checking on her beloved’s emotional state!

With that resolve, she lifted her foot and took the first deliberate step, descending the stairs.

The very instant she did, Evelyn, who had been paralyzed with apprehension by the tumultuous emotions swirling within her heart, suddenly felt her legs falter. ’D-Did she… did she somehow realize it’s me?’

She felt utterly unprepared to confront the peerless beauty who parted the crowd like the sea as she strode directly towards her. ’W-What should I do? Should I make a quick escape? I can face her later, can’t I?’

Honestly, even Evelyn herself was bewildered by her own uncharacteristic behavior. Her emotions were in complete disarray.

It wasn't long before Yasenia reached Evelyn's position and looked down at her once-mischievous Dearest. Observing the girl's stunned state, Yasenia sighed, her gaze tender yet shadowed with a touch of remorse. ’I’m beginning to suspect the strength I’ve acquired wasn’t truly worth the cost…’

While she held no regret for her advancements, she harbored a feeling that a different path might have been possible. Nevertheless, Yasenia understood Evelyn intimately and, therefore, had a reasonable grasp of what was transpiring with her.

’Was my allure perhaps a bit too potent? Did it inadvertently stir up her old feelings of inadequacy?’

Yasenia took another step forward, then gently embraced Evelyn, drawing her face into her chest as she slowly stroked her hair. "Silly Dearest, why aren't you leaping into my arms as you always do, hmm? Did you truly believe I wouldn't recognize you just because you altered your appearance?"

Gently separating the stiff girl from her embrace, Yasenia offered a soft smile and leaned down to briefly kiss Evelyn's lips. Her changed visage held no consequence. After all, while Yasenia appreciated and cherished their looks immensely, she did not covet them. Her deepest affection was for them as individuals, not merely their appearances.

The onlookers stared in astonishment, completely bewildered by the unfolding scene. The alluring goddess who had commanded the attention of all mere moments before was now embracing and kissing a woman as rigid as stone.

Yasenia pulled back and chuckled softly. "Are you utterly dumbfounded, or what? Speak to me, Dearest."

Evelyn was, quite frankly… immobilized. She desperately wished to speak, but found herself unable to utter a sound. "Uh—"

Their resident dragoness sighed, effortlessly scooped Evelyn into her arms, and utilized her movement technique to vanish completely from everyone's sight.

From their vantage point in the stands, Chen Tian watched in stunned silence. Sierra placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder and smiled. "That is Yasenia, the woman Evelyn speaks of so often. Do you comprehend the situation now, or are you still lost?"

Chen Tian opened his mouth, then let out a sigh, leaning back in his seat with a somewhat bewildered expression. "I… I understand. Sigh…"

Returning to the chamber, Yasenia reclined on a sumptuous sofa she conjured, her tail finding a comfortable position in a specially made opening, while Evelyn was settled on her lap, embraced by her. There was no haste in Yasenia’s actions; instead of speaking or urging her, she simply held Evelyn close, gently patting her back.

"Do you require comfort, my love?"

"Do you wish for me to affirm that you are still more cherished than my own existence?"

"Or perhaps, you need a kiss that will melt your very soul and body?"

As Yasenia’s gentle words flowed, Evelyn’s heart fluttered, and her rigid posture began to yield slightly within Yasenia’s embrace. She looked up, meeting Yasenia’s amused gaze as she looked down. "Evelyn, dear, I love you. Regardless of how I may evolve, this truth shall remain constant. You understand this, don't you, my dear?"

Evelyn’s azure eyes gradually softened, shedding their tint and returning to their magnificent violet hue. Simultaneously, her jet-black hair transformed into her signature vivid electric blue, like a curtain gracefully descending.

Her previously unremarkable features underwent a transformation, becoming notably more refined. Her eyes enlarged, her nose refined, and her lips regained their customary delicate pink coloration. The familiar, lovely round face that Yasenia held clear in her memory now graced her presence, causing Yasenia’s gaze to soften. "You are as stunning as ever, my dear."

A lump seemed to form in Evelyn’s throat, making swallowing difficult. Her eyes stung briefly, and her nose tingled. At last, Evelyn’s voice emerged, hoarse.

"...I have missed you."

Yasenia drew Evelyn closer, resting her forehead against Evelyn’s. A radiant smile graced her features. "As have I, Evelyn. I have missed you profoundly. And now, I am here."

Evelyn offered a nod, her arms, which had been tense, now relaxed around Yasenia as she nestled into her embrace. "Mhm."

She responded with a soft, contented hum, and a peaceful silence settled over the two figures entwined in their embrace.
