Noah proposed binding Luminara's essence to his using Atom Manipulation to purge the Progenitor's influence. Struck by years of unspoken attraction, she shocked him and Laeh by jokingly demanding creation from his balls, sparking a furious brawl between the two women. Once exhausted, Luminara seriously selected his jugular vein for the ritual.

"The jugular veins?" Noah repeated, his eyes flaring wide just a bit at the shocking reply.

Many different answers had filled his expectations. He'd even imagined Luminara selecting his heart, specific bones, or something vastly more personal.

But realization struck him...

"The jugular veins... aren't they far more intimate than all else?" He exhaled deliberately.

'Those neck veins manage something utterly primal for any living creature!'

In truth, those precise veins shuttled deoxygenated blood from head and brain back toward the heart.

They stood at the heart of life's most basic essence. Destroy them, and death arrives in the fastest manner imaginable.

From that very essence Luminara wished to be forged. That's what she sought to embody for Noah.

His fount of life and death.

Truthfully, Noah couldn't perish even should his full body shatter, let alone mere jugular veins. Not so readily.

Yet granting Luminara's plea signified embracing the rank she yearned to seize.

And such a rank brimmed with peril.

"Greedy." Laeh whispered just under her breath, faint enough that Noah and Luminara scarcely heard.

Her remark snapped Noah to the moment. His gaze weighed down

upon Luminara.

"This time," he stated, lips curling subtly, "I must side with my sister."

That one phrase ignited Laeh's form anew.

"I know." Luminara conceded, bowing her head. "I know it's bold for me to request that. But you asked my desire, and I answered plainly."

"I wasn't challenging your reply," Noah countered. "I was probing if you comprehend the vastness of your request. This exceeds simple remaking. It demands an intimate, enduring spot in my world."

His lips arched into a grin. "And understand, every role pairs two elements."

He lifted two fingers. "Benefits and responsibilities."

"You address no child." Luminara's eyes narrowed. "I surpass your age."

"You don't appear it." Noah retorted. "And you behave it less still."

Luminara's lips quivered. "Oh? So faulting me comes easy, but not your sister for her rude, impolite, inconsiderate ways?"

Laeh scowled at her instantly.

"This proves my point exactly." Noah boldly championed his sister. "My sister remains a mere infant—hardly weaned—beside you. Thus I grow truly alarmed. Shaping you from my jugular veins renders you their vital embodiment within me. I ask once more: can you truly bear it?"

"Yes." Luminara affirmed.

"Are you certain?"

"I am."

"What convinces you?"

"I have endured ages without flinching from such weight."

"It seems trivial to you?" Noah chuckled. "Most claim likewise. Yet know this, dear mother-in-law: all duties look simple from afar. This rings true for every burden."

He paused shortly. "Loads appear featherweight upon another's shoulders."

Luminara's expression turned grave.

"But I shall trust you, Luminara."

The air turned dense in an instant, far weightier and graver. The divine beast's eyes bulged; she hadn't foreseen her wish

truly approved.

Noah drew nearer, then knelt down in front of her. His right hand ascended and laid gently, caringly, atop her head's fur.

"I grant what you crave," he vowed, "and you must rise to match your own avarice."

"I will." Luminara declared with calm certainty. "And cease feigning displeasure in this, Noah."

A sly grin twisted her lips. "You desire me near."

"Why would I?"

"Because of your greed." She shot back. "You are the greediest man I

have ever met. You always crave more, always seize more. More and more and more. You possess my daughter. You possess my pupil. Now

you want me."

"Aye." Noah laughed. "I possess the habit of gathering every family member close beside me. Would you condemn me? I labor

to bring all happiness."

"And you form the core of that bliss?"

"I comprise a crucial segment."

"The worst part is I cannot deny it." Luminara confessed. "And what's

even worse is despite it all... despite your repulsive greed... despite your profoundly vulgar essence..."

Luminara's feline form erupted in a piercing, frosty blue glow that seared vision around them for a split second.

As it ebbed, retracting inward, no cat lingered there.

But

woman.

A statuesque feline woman emerged, her silvery hair and amethyst eyes shimmering like heavenly stars within an abyss untouched by

cosmic illumination.

Her white robe hugged her form tightly, emphasizing every alluring curve, with hips and thighs capable of evoking devotion all by themselves.

Full and ample bosom she possessed, borne with graceful ease as she drew within a breath of Noah, their faces so near that lips almost

grazed.

Intense tension crackled between them. Laeh, though hesitant, sensibly opted to shut her eyes before the scene.

Not without first mentally condemning Luminara with utmost venom.

"Your essence ought to repel us from you, yet we feel irresistibly pulled toward you

like lost souls." She murmured, her fingers lifting to stroke his cheek. "Even I, Noah. Even I. Here I stand, surrendering myself like a desperate harlot with

nothing more to forfeit."

"That's a severe way to phrase it." Noah laughed softly. "You're not just offering yourself. You're purposefully selecting me as your lifelong mate. Not some fleeting encounter. Doesn't that alter everything?"

"And do you select me back?"

"It's precisely because I selected you first that you're choosing me now. I flung

open the gateway-!"

"And I strode through it willingly, prepared to be scorched by your forbidden touch and forever transformed." She concluded, resting her forehead against his.

"Are you prepared then?" Noah inquired.

"Will my daughter approve of this choice?"

"She'll be overjoyed to gain a bonding partner."

"How blunt."

"Truth often is."

Luminara let out a laugh before sealing her lips to his in a fervent kiss,

her words echoing within his thoughts.

"Unbind me. Disassemble me. Then refashion me from your lifeblood's core, so

I may bind eternally to you. So I'll never stray from your presence."

"In what manner do you wish to become?"

Luminara grinned against his mouth and deepened the kiss, met by his

even greater passion.

"Exactly as you desire me..."

Noah echoed her grin as her final word arrived.

"...Yours."

Thus, the ritual commenced.
