Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 503 - Ambitious Esmeray
Previously on Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System...
Across the vast universe, time began to flow again, though it remained shaken by the formidable presence that had surged through everything only a moment earlier and now vanished without a trace.
Beings dwelling on planets near Primus mostly knew about
the existence of deities and entities surpassing mere immortals.
Yet this marked the initial occasion when they genuinely sensed themselves as insignificant insects under the gaze of a divine being.
That chilling experience etched itself into their memories forever, destined to become a pivotal entry in Primus's historical annals.
For this was the day when The Records displayed feelings and directly presented an individual:
The Prince of Reality. The Chosen Child.
The overwhelming mix of reverence, terror, and profound unease didn't just affect ordinary mortals; it struck those at the Myriads level and even creators of their own Axis.
Regarding the Progenitors... that instant brought enlightenment along with validation. With Noah's emergence, they held absolute certainty, free from any lingering uncertainty in their being, that yes...
...something existed above the rank of Progenitor. Something utterly singular and extraordinary.
Something capable of elevating them from mere dominants in a single universe to forces across all of reality. This awareness, combined with their burning ambitions and visions, drove them to actions beyond most imaginations.
Common folk might halt in the face of crushing might.
Myriads and Axis Holders might sense unease and choose to remain hidden temporarily.
Progenitors? As the earliest entities born in the universe known as Primus, they could experience fear...
...yet it merely fueled their resolve, making them stride forward with greater determination and hold firm to their fated journeys.
And that... oh, Noah only grasped it upon arriving at the Dragon's Faction central world - Esmeray.
But did it truly signify anything?
...
Noah had no clear idea of what awaited him in the Dragons' faction; still, the scene before him was utterly unlike anything he had anticipated.
The Vaelgrim materialized in a spacious chamber - vast enough to encompass a lesser-ranked world effortlessly. Its walls consisted of scales - in various hues and forms - arranged to depict a colossal dragon featuring numerous heads, all glaring fiercely, growling, and defying creation itself.
How presumptuous, Noah thought fleetingly.
The ceiling soared to immense heights, coated in blood that twisted, churned, and crept gradually over it like countless living worms burrowing through sludge.
The display was repulsive yet oddly sacred in its unsettling manner. Nevertheless, neither Noah nor his wives focused on that.
Seated amid the floor, encircled by numerous slain High Elves - their forms still pulsing with alarming energy even in death - sat the Primordial of Dragons in person.
Resting on her knees was the severed head of Orion Worldborn's sire, his blood staining Esmeray in a brutal yet reverent fashion.
"My instincts proved spot on." Esmeray declared, her voice thick and slurred, her reptilian eyes locked onto Noah with an unsettling closeness. Then, with purposeful leisure, she shifted her gaze to Red, or specifically, to the heart clutched in her gore-smeared palm.
"Really?" Noah replied, his expression perfectly composed, "What exactly did your instincts reveal, I wonder?"
"That I lack the spare time to question my forthcoming decisions." She responded steadily, her stare lingering on her granddaughter's heart, "Or else, certain death awaits me."
She let out a laugh, deeming the circumstances both absurd and amusing, "I doubted it initially. After all, tell me, who possesses the power to slay a Progenitor?"
"Me." Noah replied with a casual shrug.
"Yes." Esmeray at last lifted her eyes from the heart and settled them upon Noah, "Indeed, Noah Vaelgrim, solely you hold the capability for such a feat. Or put differently, you're the first to venture so extremely just to eliminate us. Thus, when I sensed that peril, you can imagine who came to mind first."
"Should I feel honored?" Noah asked, tilting his head. He glanced at Diatah positioned at his right,
"Should I, my dear?"
"My husband would falter if he heeded the opinions of the feeble." She stated sharply, scanning Esmeray from head to toe with blatant contempt, "Particularly one acting in ignorance of the truth."
Esmeray offered Diatah a frosty smile, "You'll discover shortly whether I understand or remain clueless."
Without pause, she proceeded, extracting an item from Worldborn's brain. It resembled a tiny verdant tree, soaked in blood and vivid fluids.
Noah detected immense potency emanating from it, and the aura it projected felt oddly recognizable.
"I harbored uncertainties about succeeding in my pursuit, but you've delivered an invaluable boon I never dreamed of obtaining."
Her statements came rapidly, though time appeared to drag around them. The heart in Red's grasp vanished in an instant, as if devoured by unseen maws.
It reappeared before Esmeray. She wasted no time. Promptly, she parted her jaws wide, devouring her granddaughter's heart with excessive delight.
Her eyes fluttered upward in ecstasy, as the trace of the LOGOS blessing of Time and an additional essence surged through her form via invisible pathways.
Simultaneously, she seized the green tree along with its contents and shattered it into pieces. Then, utilizing the blood, remains, and skeletons of the fallen High Elves, she forged a compact dagger. The shards from the ruined tree darted to the dagger, enveloping it akin to fresh paint on a surface.
All these deeds unfolded as Noah lounged in a seat, legs crossed, chin propped on his hand. He appeared nearly indifferent.
Neko and Lea perched on his thighs, receiving his soft strokes as he observed the ritual. Lucie, in her crow form, rested atop his crown, eyeing Esmeray like royalty beholding a jester. "Won't you intervene?" Ester questioned, her tone lacking any haste.
There was no cause for alarm. By this point, they all understood Esmeray's goal. Achieving it would propel her to an unprecedented stature throughout the Primus Universe.
Essentially, she sought to usurp Luelle's inherent authority by embodying the Progenitor and Primordial roles for both Dragons and Elves.
Conventionally impossible, even post-Luelle's demise. Yet Noah had altered Luelle's position.
She now served as the protector of Noah's Records, the Tree of Ashes within his Territory. This role stripped her of her primordial status, opening the door for Esmeray to claim that position and strength.
It represented a bold ambition, one bound to collapse despite her thorough preparations.
Nevertheless,
"I shall act, indeed." Noah told Ester, "Though not to hinder her." He grinned. Lifting his index finger skyward, he generated a droplet of his blood.
He murmured words silently, and a faint glow infused the blood. He sent it flying toward Esmeray, precisely as the Primordial of Dragons plunged the newly made dagger into her own soul.
Noah's blood merged with the dagger and penetrated profoundly into her soul, delving even further to her core essence. Esmeray's eyes bulged, her lips gaping for breath while her torso convulsed inward. Her entire being started to hemorrhage, transforming in a remarkable manner.
Through this alteration, her soul mirrored the change before her full physique contorted - her hide peeling off like the moon casting away its shadow.
The entire universe quaked, heralding the emergence of something truly remarkable.
Noah then directed his gaze to Red, offering her a smile.
"You may end her once her soul finishes its metamorphosis." He instructed, "And claim that soul for me."
"What purpose will you find for it?" Red asked, rising promptly, approaching Esmeray who writhed on the floor in agony, howling and weeping amid her rebirth. "What else could it be?" Noah smirked, "We require a Soulbeast for our household, my love." -End of Chapter 503-
