Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2156: Elder Level Magic Restrictions

Prison Island
I listened to the advice of both elders. They were right. Since the Forbidden Wizards were moving around here, I should not take rash actions.
On the other hand, Hank was using his magic power for exploration. He found that the terrain of the prison island was almost uniform. If you went down deeper, you could reach the underground sea.
Just as he pushed his exploration further, he came across some rocks. The size and pattern of the stone intrigued him; it was cleanly cut on four sides. It was not natural, but the product of a magic spell.
Hank’s breathing grew faster. It was immediately noticed by Lady Caitlin and then old man Rock. They turned toward him. They knew what kind of magic he possessed.
Their sudden reaction alerted me. I followed their gazes and saw Hank’s reaction as well. He seemed to have discovered something.
Patrick looked at Hank, visibly taken aback. He then glanced at Otto but didn’t disturb him, believing Otto must have found something as well.
Hank wore a serious expression. As he tried to observe the rocks, he discovered that they were enchanted and bore restrictions. He recalled Master speaking about the underground prison.
He suspected these rocks were part of the underground prison cells, so he needed to get closer to investigate. Fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
Hank then used his magic power to draw nearer. Right then, the enchanted rocks reacted.
[Ding! Supreme Wizard Hank triggered Elder-Level Magic Restrictions.]
The system’s voice echoed in my mind.
Swoosh!
The next second, I vanished from the spot in a flash and reappeared in front of Hank. I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him into the system space.
Boom!
A deafening blast erupted out of nowhere, shaking the entire area. The run-down building threatened to collapse as the ceiling began to cave in.
"What happened?" Otto asked.
The expressions of the two Magic Lords shifted dramatically. They knew it had to involve Supreme Wizard Hank.
Thud!
Debris rained down from the ceiling; the entire structure would crumble soon.
Next, I brought Otto and Patrick into the system space. Then I turned toward the Magic Lords and brought them inside as well.
"Zero, come back," I instructed the puppet. The red smoke quickly returned to my side, and I retreated into the system space alongside it.
Boom!
Everyone was looking at Hank, who appeared to be trembling. Seeing this, I walked up to him.
"Hank, are you alright?"
"What just happened?"
I asked in quick succession because my own heart was pounding. I tried hard to steady myself. What I had heard was not a Magic Lord or Forbidden-level presence, but an Elder-level restriction.
It was no wonder the Supreme Wizard was trembling.
Otto and Patrick watched with grim expressions. The two Magic Lords had already deduced part of it, but they waited to hear the full account.
Hank raised his head and looked around. Realizing he was in a safe environment, he reined in his emotions and calmed down.
He wiped the sweat from his forehead and said, "I found the underground prison."
Gasp!
Otto and Patrick gasped in shock. They knew Hank had been training hard and making progress, but they had not expected his abilities to reach this level.
A glint flashed in Lady Caitlin’s eyes.
She remarked, "If I’m not mistaken, he must have triggered some restrictions."
Hearing that, I looked at her. Sharp as always, she had immediately sensed the issue.
Old man Rock nodded in agreement. "Lady Caitlin is right. It must be the restrictions."
I glanced at him before turning back to Hank, who seemed much better now.
Hank explained, "While exploring the terrain, I came across a rocky structure. The stones were unusual, so I tried to inspect them closely. They were covered in restrictions."
"I realized it was the underground prison, so I tried to probe deeper. That was when the restrictions were triggered," he added.
With lingering fear on his face, he continued, "The mana preparing to erupt from the restrictions felt terrifying. Fortunately, Master saved me just in time."
Understanding dawned on me. Hank had taken a huge risk to locate the place. I asked him for the exact coordinates, and he pulled out a blank scroll to sketch the location for me.
Lady Caitlin observed Supreme Wizard Hank with an appreciative glance. She could see that young master Vincent had assembled a team with precise knowledge of their magical capabilities.
"Master, I have something to report as well," Otto said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I intercepted conversations using magic. There are Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards stationed here, but they are forbidden from approaching the underground prison. As a result, they are scattered across the island, avoiding the prison grounds entirely," Otto explained.
His words only deepened my confusion.
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"I’m not certain, but I overheard multiple conversations confirming the same order," Otto replied.
I glanced toward the red smoke; the Zero puppet confirmed the report.
Lady Caitlin frowned. This was the first time she had heard of such an arrangement. Why would anyone leave the underground prison unmonitored?
Old man Rock was equally perplexed, unable to make sense of the situation.
Hank and Patrick remained silent. The atmosphere was fraught with danger, requiring them to tread with absolute caution.
A thought struck me, and I asked, "Is there only one prison on this island?"
Otto replied, "I’m not sure. Everyone refers solely to the underground prison."
Hearing that I don’t know what to say for a moment. There is something going on. I have to make the decision faster. I began to ponder.
...
Outside
Several dilapidated buildings had collapsed into ruins, scattering dust and debris across the ground. The Magic Lords on the island were immediately put on high alert.
They confirmed that the barrier enveloping the island remained intact and unprovoked, meaning no external force was attacking it. The disturbance had originated from within.
