Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2083: The Main Shady Business

The Senior Wizard heard everything. When the call ended, he put away the device and looked toward the members.

"The three elders are already here. They are waiting in a secret location for us. Let’s go," he said to them.

Gasp!

A low gasp sounded. The members were shocked. They had just been discussing the matter and did not expect the elders to already be here in the city.

Amaira was taken aback, but before she could ask anything, the Senior Wizard stood up from his seat.

Then everyone followed him.

City Lord’s Office.

Magic Lord Gaston and Duncan were seated behind the desk. They were questioning City Lord Conrad about the request.

Conrad had requested help from the Black Tower. He suspected outsiders had snuck into the city.

"Are you sure about it?" Gaston asked.

"My Lord, I checked with my magic twice. Indeed, outsiders have infiltrated the city. I could not find them," City Lord Conrad said to them.

Duncan was listening to everything, but he was not eager to take action right away. He did business in the city and had tagged along just to check on them.

"What should we do?" Gaston asked.

"I’m going to rest. We will investigate in the morning." After saying that, Duncan stood up.

He was really not interested in solving the matter soon. Without waiting for Gaston to reply, he left the office.

Seeing that, Gaston furrowed his eyebrows. He then turned toward City Lord Conrad.

"I heard he runs a business here. Is this true?" he asked.

Hearing that, Conrad was taken aback, but he nodded.

Gaston’s expression darkened. He didn’t want to bother with Duncan and decided to find out what was going on here first.

Gaston then said, "Let’s search the city together."

A few minutes later, both of them left the city office. They were going to start their search from the city gate.

Meanwhile,

I was standing in front of the third building. It was located right in the heart of a prime location. There were businesses running on both sides of the street.

There were some factories along this line, but the problem here was slightly different. The multi-floor building here was a hospital.

I gathered my thoughts before entering the place. I saw people coming and going. How was I going to find the culprits?

I saw lower- and mid-level wizards; they had some kind of issues. When I checked with the system, I found most of them were affected by spells of different magic.

Most likely, they were involved in a fight or some other situation. I needed to figure out the situation here first.

Then I thought of Caitlin. She must have gathered some information by now. As I walked down the hospital corridor, I came across a storeroom.

Creak!

I opened the storeroom and stepped inside, shutting the door behind me. I used the system to check whether the room was safe.

After confirming that there were no devices here, I entered the system space. There, I saw bloodied wizards lying on the floor, unconscious.

I saw a similar situation with the old Supreme Wizard; he seemed to have been tortured even more.

"You are here again, but you didn’t bring anyone this time," Caitlin said.

"I’m at the third hideout, but it turned out to be a hospital. There are a lot of people getting treatment here. Did any of them talk about this hideout?" I asked.

A quick gleam appeared in Caitlin’s eyes.

She nodded and said, "You won’t believe it, but the whole hospital is their business. They harvest organs from patients without alerting them."

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, the hospital is their main business, where they target anyone with a humble background coming to the hospital."

"Whereas the earlier two sites were focused on wandering wizards," Caitlin said in a sad tone.

Her eyes flashed with sadness. She didn’t know how many innocent lives had been harmed.

My heart boiled with anger. I didn’t know how the Black Tower could turn a blind eye to this. It was a serious matter affecting the reputation of the Mage Union.

If other Magic Towers ignored it, then there would be no difference between us and the Covenant.

"What are you going to do?" Caitlin asked.

"Wait a minute." After saying that, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

I went to the control room and saw the zero puppet. I immediately started giving orders to it.

I wanted the zero puppet to search the whole hospital and record their shady activities. The zero puppet had a recording stone to capture the evidence.

After explaining everything to the puppet, I brought it to the storeroom. In its red smoke form, the zero puppet exited through the small gap beneath the door.

Swoosh!

Then I appeared back in the system space.

I looked at Caitlin and asked, "Is there any other useful information I should know?"

Caitlin said, "The hospital is owned by Magic Lord Duncan. Though they advertise that they treat patients affected by evil magic, all they do is organ harvesting."

"There are other small sites similar to the previous two dealing with weak and elderly people, but this hospital is their main operation in the city," Caitlin added.

I rubbed my temples with a headache. I was sure an operation this big must have been known to others. How could they just sit and watch?

I had thought the Mage Union was neutral, especially that the Black Tower was neutral and not tilted toward the evil magic path, but I was wrong.

Caitlin noticed that the young man had made a major decision.

"Are you going to bring down the hospital?" she asked.

"You know, there is no right or wrong when it comes to wizards. Everyone walks their own path," she said.

"I know. I’m not doing this to protect the world from evil wizards. It’s just that the Black Tower has been against me since the beginning."

"I’ve always wanted to cause some damage. This is going to be a good opportunity. No one can find fault with it," I said to her.

And it was the truth. I was going to bring it down because of the Black Tower. If they hadn’t targeted me, I would have minded my own business.

Especially since the Forbidden Wizard Remi personally visited the appraisal shop in Crystal City last time to find me. How could I forget that?

It was my chance to target the Black Tower.
