Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2040: Part 1: Rockwell City

Rockwell City
After flying for more than two hours, I spotted the tall structures of the big city. Unlike Iron Bell City, the infrastructure here seemed like it was made of rock stone.
They stood on the ground like towering pillars piercing the sky.
The city wall was a pristine black stone in color. It looked like a strong barrier. It aroused the curiosity in my heart.
I have this feeling that it’s another city connected to the Earth Magic Tower. I knew there are many cities in the outside territory.
But I don’t know how many of them in total are related to the magic city. I thought of entering the city, but the system reminded me of something.
[Ding! Suspicious people detected.]
Next, I moved, following the system notification. I had already shielded my mana presence with the system.
The clue led me to the back of the city. I’m standing on one of the tree branches. What I saw was a similar group of suspicious wizards clothed in black dresses.
They are Supreme Wizards. I guess it’s another team from the evil force. So far, I have collected evidence, but I have yet to uncover the name of the organization which we are fighting.
I continued to look at the people. Most of them have donned overcoats. There are eight wizards among them.
"System, how much similarity do they share with the previous group?" I asked the system.
[Ding! It matches 99%]
I heard the system’s voice. Now, I’m more sure that they were related to the enemy force.
Swoosh!
Next, I appeared inside the system space. I saw the Zero puppet and explained the situation. This time, I wanted to get more information.
I brought the Zero puppet outside. The Zero puppet was in a red smoke form. Next, I pointed in the direction.
The red smoke then moved toward the group of eight wizards. They are Supreme Wizards, but they didn’t feel the arrival of a Magic Lord level existence.
The group of eight wizards are now sitting on the ground and discussing something. They were just one among the many field teams sent by their organization to disrupt the business of the Mage Union.
"Rockwell City is not like other cities. It’s hard to infiltrate. The city guards are strict in their inspection," one of them said.
"Not only that, the City Guard Captain is a Supreme Wizard. He is not allowing others to enter easily. Even the wizards from the magic city were being inspected," the second member said.
"Even if we go with our team, we will be inspected as well," the third member said.
The discussion is getting serious. Most of them are thinking about giving up. It’s better to target the next city instead of the fortified Rockwell City.
But there lies a problem. Such a fortified city meant one thing: Rockwell City is rich. There are businesses blooming inside.
If they were able to disrupt the businesses in the city, it would affect the economy of Rockwell City. They will earn rich rewards.
It’s better to target one city than to go target other cities. Besides, they were just one of the field teams.
For now, they are only targeting Rockwell City. If they lose the chance, then some other team will target the city.
There is no guarantee for them that the next city is not targeted by their organization’s members.
As time passes, the members are voicing their comments. But they didn’t know that someone was recording their conversation.
However, the Zero puppet was not satisfied. It knows that its master wanted to collect the main information.
So far, they had only collected information related to their crimes and magic powers. They didn’t know other things.
"When will our main force attack the Magic City? Only then will the Mage Union know the power of our Covenant," a female wizard among the group said out of frustration.
Hearing that, the faces of everyone changed drastically.
"Amaira, how dare you utter the name?"
"Don’t you know the rules?"
The wizards there started scolding her. Hearing that, Amaira quieted down.
"Enough, it’s time to vote. How many of you have decided to enter the city?" a senior wizard among them asked.
Hearing that, the atmosphere changed. They stopped targeting the woman, understanding that she spoke out of frustration.
Then, six out of the eight people raised their hands. Amaira and the senior person didn’t raise their hands, but most of them wanted to enter the city.
The senior wizard said, "Since the majority has decided, we will enter the city. But there is only one way. We will enter one by one, disguised as wandering wizards."
"Because wandering wizards have no identity," he added.
Hearing that, the others agreed. It was a good idea.
But Amaira once again raised an objection.
"Too many Supreme-level wandering wizards will alert them. It’s best for the four of us to stay outside. The remaining four can enter first."
"If any situation arises, we can enter then," Amaira added.
This time, no one scolded her. Her suggestion was correct as well. They couldn’t take the risk of going to the city gate all at once.
The senior said, "Amaira’s idea is good. Let four of us enter first at short intervals."
When the decision was made, a broad-shouldered wizard stood up first. He decided to enter first, so he spoke to everyone.
Then he started heading toward Rockwell City.
The red smoke heard everything. After knowing their plan, it started going back toward its Master.
Meanwhile,
I’m standing on one of the tree branches. I saw one of them stand up and speak to the members for a few minutes.
Then he started walking toward the city gate. I raised my eyebrows in surprise. I had this feeling that they were targeting the city.
And it turned out to be true.
It didn’t take long for me to spot the red smoke. In the blink of an eye, the red smoke reached the branch of the tree and appeared next to me.
