The protagonist learns of the Flynn Family's potential ties to dark magic and enemy forces. Meanwhile, Magic Lord Lisa arrives at the Flynn Estate with other Supreme Wizards to investigate an incident. During the briefing, Rebecca recounts the attack, but Matteo, another wizard, accuses her of lying, leading to a confrontation that Lisa quickly shuts down. Elena also provides her account, and Lisa questions the nature of the magic imprints left behind, noting one is unfamiliar.

Flynn Estate

"Is anyone else from the tower here?" Lisa asked.

She wanted to know whether it was the work of anyone else. Hearing that, everyone looked toward City Lord Elena and Rebecca.

Rebecca and Elena looked at each other. They knew something, but they didn’t want to tell because it was related to the Silver Tower.

Magic Lord Lisa saw through their thoughts.

"Tell me without hiding anything," Lisa asked.

City Lord Elena said, "Appraiser Frank from Crystal City is staying in our city."

"Appraiser Frank," Lisa uttered in surprise.

Even the faces of Matteo and the others changed drastically because they had heard of Appraiser Frank.

The Silver Tower and the Elemental Towers are rivals, so it was normal for them to follow the news of the Silver Tower. Thus, they knew Silver Tower Member Vincent Carey had hired an appraiser for his shop.

Appraiser Frank was famous not only for his work, but he was known for defeating people from the Flame Elemental Tower.

After the Green Elemental Tower, the Flame Elemental Tower lost face in front of the Silver Tower. It had caused a huge uproar at that time.

So how could they not know Appraiser Frank?

Rebecca saw everyone’s reaction. She knew that the name of Appraiser Frank was popular, so it was normal for others to know.

Magic Lord Lisa frowned. She didn’t know what they were doing here.

"Is there any auction going on?" Lisa asked the City Lord.

Elena said, "No, it has been only a few days since he got here."

Magic Lord Lisa raised her eyebrows. She thought that Appraiser Frank might have come here on the orders of Silver Tower Wizard Vincent.

Matteo’s eyes flashed with a gleam.

"That Appraiser Frank works for the Silver Tower. It’s possible that he came here to collect intel. They don’t have good relations with the Elemental Tower."

"After targeting the Green Elemental Tower and the Flame Elemental Tower, they could be targeting us," Matteo said in a cold tone.

This time, the four members sitting next to him supported his argument.

"We should not accuse anyone without having evidence," Rebecca retorted.

"What evidence?"

"Everyone knows about our rivalry with them. Maybe we should search them. They could be hiding intel," Matteo accused again.

Elena’s heart set off storms. She really couldn’t support anyone here. She couldn’t even speak against them.

Rebecca looked toward Matteo with cold eyes.

She could tell that Matteo was using the opportunity to create a wedge between the two Magic Towers.

Magic Lord Lisa lost her composure.

"Enough!"

"There is no need to trouble them. We are here to collect intel on the enemy force. The Mage Union has advised no internal fights."

"If anyone is found guilty, they will be punished," Lisa added in a cold tone.

Hearing the words "Mage Union," everyone quieted down again. Matteo was quiet, but he had already decided to confront Appraiser Frank.

He thought that Appraiser Frank might have collected some information.

If he could get that information before Appraiser Frank left the city, then he could individually contribute to the Sea Wave Faction. His rewards would be higher as well.

He decided to find an excuse to leave. He glanced at the four members beside him. He eye-signaled them. They understood because they followed his lead.

Magic Lord Lisa stood up. She decided to investigate the study room.

"Rebecca, show me the study room," Lisa said to her.

Hearing that, Rebecca walked forward, leading the way. Magic Lord Lisa followed from behind. Matteo and the members looked at each other again.

It was the right opportunity to leave.

Matteo turned toward City Lord Elena. She was about to follow them, but she was stopped by Matteo.

He asked, "Where is Appraiser Frank staying?"

Hearing that, Elena was taken aback. She didn’t expect him to ask such a question. She thought this person listened to the Magic Lord.

She saw the four members behind him as well.

She then collected her thoughts and said, "Blue Drop Hotel."

"Good," Matteo replied.

He then led the four members to the exit.

City Lord Elena watched their backs. She broke out into a cold sweat. She didn’t have a good feeling about this. But if she reported to Magic Lord Lisa, she would offend Matteo and the others.

But if she didn’t, she would offend the Silver Tower.

Finally, she decided to stay quiet. She then rushed toward the study chamber.

On the other hand, Magic Lord Lisa and Rebecca were investigating the room. Lisa immediately found traces of water element magic spells.

But there was no sign of any other magic spell. Magic Lord Lisa realized that every word City Lord Elena and Rebecca spoke was true.

Her expression was serious. Then her gaze fell on the books and notes down on the floor.

"Did you guys find anything in the books?" she asked.

Rebecca and Elena looked at each other. They hadn’t collected the notes and books.

"We didn’t find anything," Rebecca said.

Elena nodded.

"What happened with the Flynn Family?"

"Why did the enemy attack them?" Lisa asked.

Hearing that, City Lord Elena said, "A few days ago, the grave of the Flynn Family Elder was robbed."

"After learning that, we tried to investigate, but we didn’t encounter anything. The Flynn Family was confused about it as well."

"They didn’t know why anyone would rob the grave of a Magic Lord Powerhouse," she added.

Magic Lord Lisa’s eyes flickered. She knew it was the work of the unknown evil force. Their Water Element Tower had received information as well.

The enemy of the Mage Union dealt with wizard corpses and puppetry. It was like puppet dark magic.

There was no doubt that the enemy wanted a powerhouse corpse for some puppet magic. And there were not many graves of powerhouses here in the city.

Those were the ancestors of the wizard families here.

Magic Lord Lisa didn’t want to draw conclusions so soon. They didn’t know why the fight had happened.

If it was the enemy who killed the Family Head, then why would the enemy spare the two of them?

Lisa decided to inspect the corpses first.

"I want to look at the corpses," Lisa said to them.

The corpses were preserved by the city officials.
