Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2019: Part 2: Cemetery Case

Blue Heart City
We left the hotel a few minutes later. I didn’t approach any cab. I followed the direction shown by the zero puppet in its red smoke form.
The members were outside. I didn’t tell them.
It didn’t take long for me to reach the cemetery. I saw the gates of the cemetery were open. There was no human activity.
It was isolated. Then I entered the place through the main gate. Right then, I started using the system function.
If the system found any clue related to the puppet magic or anything related to the puppet formation, it would tell me.
After entering inside, I found the place was quiet. Then I saw the red smoke going towards one place. I raised my eyebrows and started walking forward.
Soon, I reached a corner of the land. Then I saw the pit and dug-up sand beside it.
"System, how many days since the grave was dug?" I asked the system in my mind.
[Ding! Already 2 days have passed.]
I heard the system’s voice in my mind. I couldn’t help but recall the wizard who set up the puppet formation some time ago.
Was he the one who collected the corpse from here? A question appeared in my mind. Because it was possible. Then I looked for other clues. But I didn’t find anything.
My gaze then fell on the exit.
Next, I left the cemetery and went to the next cemetery. When I got there, I found a similar grave robbery. But there were no clues left behind.
Then my gaze fell on the broken tombstone. It had been arranged to fit the pieces by the zero puppet earlier.
Seeing that, I told the system to find any information.
[Ding! The Magic Lord’s last name was Flynn.]
The system revealed a clue. Hearing that, my eyes flickered with surprise. I remembered Hank and old man Rock bumping into the elders from the wizard families.
They had heard one of their names was Flynn. I didn’t know whether it was the same family. Then I explored further to get clues.
But I failed to find anything else. With disappointment, I returned to the hotel with the zero puppet.
After returning to the room, I sent the zero puppet inside the Gregor Mansion. I said I wanted to take a break, but I involved myself in gathering intel.
Then I shook my head before resting.
...
City Lord Office
City Lord Elena eventually got the news that Appraiser Frank and his team had checked into the Blue Drop Hotel.
It was a routine job for the officials to review the list of people who visited their city. They didn’t expect a big shot to come to their city.
When Elena heard that, she was surprised. Obviously, she had heard about Appraiser Frank in Crystal City.
But she was aware that the Appraiser worked for a Silver Tower Wizard. The Elemental Towers didn’t have a good relationship with the Silver Tower.
Though their Water Element Tower had neither a good nor a bad relationship with them, she thought it was best not to interact with them.
Her family had their fair share of enemies as well. On top of it, she had her own enemies. She didn’t want to give them a chance to use this against her.
She believed that they would leave after some work.
...
Blue Drop Hotel
That night, we were watching the news on a big screen together. It was live news. Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock were here.
Everyone had returned some time ago after exploring the city. I didn’t ask them whether they had collected intel or not.
Since I had already told them to relax, I made up my mind not to ask them. If they had something to share, they would share it with me.
We were watching the live news. All of a sudden, breaking news appeared. A team of robbers had broken into the city magic store building and plundered resources from there.
The city guards had secured the perimeter. The special team was looking for the culprits.
"What?"
"Who dared to rob a magic store run by the City Lord’s office?" Otto asked.
"Is it the work of the local forces?" Patrick asked back.
Hank and old man Rock looked at each other. It was rare to see news like that. The last people to offend in the city were the City Lord and his people.
I heard their comments. I immediately felt there was something more to it. I too thought no one would rob the city magic store.
Unless they could afford to offend the City Lord’s office.
"Give me a minute." After saying that, I excused myself.
Then I went back to the room and released the zero puppet. The zero puppet turned into its red smoke form.
"A robbery has occurred in the city magic store. The city officials are looking for the culprit. Go and investigate. I want to know whether it has anything to do with our enemy," I said to the zero puppet.
"Even if you find the culprits, don’t engage with them. I just want information," I added.
The zero puppet obeyed the command and left the place through the gap in the window.
I looked at the disappearing back of the zero puppet with expectation. Then I left the room and rejoined the group to watch the news.
Meanwhile,
City Lord Elena was experiencing tension. She didn’t expect the robbery of the magic store. Earlier, small businesses had been attacked.
Now, their magic store has been attacked as well. If the news were to reach the ears of the higher-ups, then it wouldn’t be good news for her.
So she left the City Lord’s office and began to investigate secretly.
On the other hand, the red smoke reached the magic store. The guards had restricted the movement of the people.
No one was allowed to get near the place. But the red smoke moved through a gap and entered the magic store.
Inside, the whole setup was upside down. The room’s doors were broken. The broken pieces of chairs and tables lay on the ground.
