The city’s economy depends on the river. I quickly found an inn to settle down. I decided to look at other things the next morning.

There are incidents involving sea monsters that have occurred. But the Magic Lords on board would take care of it.

There are rumors of a 13th Order monster living in the deep sea. But so far, it has not made any appearance.

But the Magic Lord wizards had heard of the story. There was a 13th Order Monster in this Undying River decades ago. It’s because of that monster the name Undying came to the river.

Since then, no Magic Lord Wizards have had the guts to explore the depths of the river. Even a strong body-type wizard would be swept away by the strong undercurrents.

Right now, the Magic Lord Wizards are forced to take action. One of the Magic Lord wizards’ bandit den was attacked. The members were all killed.

There are a few survivors; apart from them, no one survived inside the den. The Magic Lord wizard behind the destroyed den was an old man nearing his life’s end.

He had been collecting resources desperately for the Breakthrough. The bandit den was a huge help to him. Now that it was destroyed, he had asked other bandit den founders to do something.

They needed to get to the bottom of this. The old man doesn’t seem to have any enemies. So if it was targeted at them, then they have to guard the rest of the bandit dens as well.

The Magic Lords then sent teams to the small city to collect information. They can tell that it was not the work of a local. They knew about the locals’ strength.

Then I checked out of the inn. I moved towards the river. I had already covered my presence by using the system. It didn’t take long for me to reach the riverbank.

I got there and swept my gaze across the place. There are a few people wandering right now. They must be workers.

After confirming that no one was watching here, I looked towards the long and wide stretch of river. The river may seem calm above.

But the undercurrents are powerful.
