I arrived in front of the mirror and saw that no one was outside. It didn’t take long for a group of wizards to appear.

They were standing at the exact spot. I raised my eyebrows in surprise. It appears they have someone who can trace.

Then I shook my head. No matter what, they won’t find me. I returned to the hall. I came to the desk and sat down.

I placed the storage bracelets on the table. These were from those wizards. I didn’t expect that on my way to the Opal Forest, I would get the opportunity to enter the ancient evil ruin.

Though I didn’t find anything related to gravity magic, it turned out to be helpful for the Zero Puppet.

Last time, the puppet had merged with a dark red orb which is a living Artifact. The dark red orb gave it the ability of the Red Smoke. The ability allows the puppet to transform into red smoke.

The puppet can come and go anywhere. No one can find it. Even the Magic Lord failed to sense the red smoke.

After that upgrade, the puppet’s body gained the strength of Level-10. It shows the power of the Artifact.

Now the puppet is merging with a similar bead-type living artifact. I don’t know what the final strength will be.

A hint of expectation appeared in my heart. Then I collected my thoughts and my gaze fell on the storage rings.

Though the chaotic land is chaotic and not organized, it’s still a land filled with opportunities.

So much so that the powerful Skycrest Kingdom dares not take a step inside the chaotic land. It shows that the forces here are no pushovers.

Inside the system space, the Zero Puppet was covered in dark mana. The black evil bead was located in one of the eye sockets. Next, some changes occurred.

From the Zero Puppet, the dark red bead appeared outside. It entered the right eye of the puppet.

There is an evil bead in the left eye and a red bead in the right eye. The puppet’s eyes are glowing with black and red, instead of the blue sockets from earlier.

The next second, the speed of the transformation increased. The body frame of the puppet broke the limit of grade 10. It entered grade 11.

Grade 11 is equal to that of a Magic Lord. The dark power from the evil bead didn’t stop there. It continued to increase the power of the puppet’s body.

Not only that, but the Zero Puppet’s core is undergoing some changes. Both the red bead and evil bead are living Artifacts.

One hour later,

The system reminded me that the Zero Puppet had completed the transformation. The next second, I appeared in the system space.

The Zero Puppet is standing in the blue grid space with a new look.

The puppet completed the transformation. The Zero Puppet looked like a black steel knight.

Gasp!

A low gasp escaped from my mouth. The final look shocked me. Especially when my gaze fell on the black and red eyes.

"Zero, what’s going on?" I asked.

Hearing that, the Zero Puppet responded. Now, it fully understands what happened to it.

"Master, it’s because of the Red Bead and Evil Bead," after saying that, Zero continued to explain.

As time passes, my eyes flash with understanding.

The beads are living Artifacts. They have some intelligence and their mana circulates automatically. That’s why even after hundreds of years, the beads never lost their power.

Because of the merger with the red bead, the Zero Puppet had already gained the ability of the Red Smoke. The mana stone consumption happens in the original form.

But during the form of the Red Smoke, the Zero Puppet is using the power from the Red Bead. The red bead was the source. It automatically replenishes the power.

Yet the power cannot be used during the normal transformation.

Now that the black evil bead has been added, the puppet gains the ability to use the power of the Black Bead to consume and replenish, instead of using mana stones.

From here on, the puppet doesn’t need mana stones to be active. Because of the two beads, it gained the ability to be active all day and night.

10 minutes later,

A storm set off in my heart. I felt unreal. I had expected the puppet’s body to get some upgrades, but I didn’t expect to hear such shocking things.

Then I used the system probe function on it.

The system voice continued to sound in my mind. I heard everything quietly. So, I’ve got a companion now.

Now the Zero Puppet reminds me of the ancient war puppet which awakened in a remote region outside the magic union territory.

I think that ancient war puppets had a similar development history as well.

Time passed,

One after another, the evil wizard members exited the evil ruin an hour later. Everyone had obtained some opportunities.

It was because of the magic corpse puppets that they were forced to leave the ruin.

Those who were attacked by the magic corpse puppets were already affected. Their mana cores have become corrupt. They have lost their minds.

The evil mana turned them into mindless puppets.
