Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 1872: Unexpected meeting
Previously on Gravity Mage with Level-Up System...
Unknown Dark Territory,
Time continued to march forward.
The Raven Aircraft was traversing the sky past noon. The external climate was intensely hot, practically scorching with extreme temperatures.
Not a single blade of grass was visible on the ground below. The environment was drastically different from the previous night.
I gradually reduced the speed of the aircraft and began observing the landscape outside through the cockpit window.
The terrain was a vast desert, stretching endlessly in every direction. Upon looking to the other side, I confirmed the same panorama. I took a moment to survey the area before resuming our journey.
This place felt unpleasant. My intent was to exit the core region of this unknown territory.
Time marched on.
That evening, the Raven Aircraft finally emerged from the desolate desert land. I felt a sense of relief that no significant trouble had arisen thus far. Soon after, I started to observe signs of greenery.
The land began to show patches of green vegetation. As the aircraft ventured deeper, I started noticing small stone houses scattered here and there.
It didn't resemble a typical village or town, merely a smattering of stone dwellings. My guard was heightened, and I kept the stealth system engaged.
Swoosh!
Instead, I engaged the steady mode for the aircraft's speed. If any inhabitants were present, they might detect the aircraft. After all, I'd encountered peculiar individuals before.
I recalled meeting powerful tribes in a massive nation a long time ago.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to me, and I checked the map. Our current location was not under the jurisdiction of any known force; it was unclaimed land.
I speculated this might be due to the proximity of the large desert.
My eyes remained fixed on the stone houses.
Swoosh!
Abruptly, a crimson figure shot out from one of the houses, charging directly at the aircraft.
Witnessing this, I maneuvered the aircraft backward. The craft swiftly retreated, putting distance between itself and the charging red figure in an instant.
[Ding! Body type Flame Magic Lord detected]
The system's voice echoed in my mind. Hearing this notification, my heart leaped. I was aware that my stealth would be compromised if a Supreme Wizard or a cultivator of a higher realm detected me.
I hadn't anticipated my first encounter would be with a Magic Lord. However, I felt no fear. After widening the distance, I deactivated the stealth function.
Meanwhile, the red figure revealed its true form. The flames that had enveloped its body dissipated.
The appearance of an old man was unveiled. This elder possessed dark hair, eyes, and tanned skin, standing at approximately 6 feet tall.
He was clad in tribal attire, adorned with peculiar beads on his wrists and neck. The flames he emitted were genuine, originating from a Magic Lord-level power, sufficient to incinerate the aircraft.
Swoosh!
The Raven Aircraft materialized into view. I opened the cockpit and emerged, instructing the system to mask my presence so the old man couldn't discern my true strength.
Then, suspended in mid-air, I stored the aircraft within the system's spatial inventory.
I directed my gaze towards the individual. It was an old man blocking my path. I was uncertain if we shared a common language.
"ka@#*&-+k##," the old man uttered.
Upon hearing him, I recognized it as a foreign tongue, making communication with the elder quite difficult. I then used a hand gesture, indicating for him to move out of the way.
The old man seemed to comprehend and began making hand signs himself, gesturing for me to land on the ground.
"System, scan the person before me to determine if they are hostile," I commanded the system.
[Ding! No hostile intentions were detected.]
The system's voice resonated in my mind. Receiving this information, my expression became serious. Having journeyed this far, there was no harm in assessing the situation first.
I had Gregor Mansion at my disposal, allowing me to retreat and hide at any moment. Furthermore, I had no desire to be pursued by a Magic Lord.
Consequently, I nodded to the old man before descending towards the ground.
Noticing my descent, the old man offered a smile and also landed on the ground.
Once both of us were on solid ground, he gestured for me to follow him. I acknowledged with a nod and began walking forward.
I proceeded through overgrown bushes and tangled vines.
After a few minutes,
The old man led me to one of the stone dwellings and gestured for me to enter. Faced with this, I was unsure of where this would lead.
I sighed inwardly. Despite my uncertainty, I still couldn't detect any malicious intent from him. I then stepped inside the house.
The interior of the house was not particularly large, with a small living area. I glanced around, discovering another room adjacent to it.
The old man entered that room and looked at a young man before pointing towards the adjacent room.
"What now?" I pondered.
I observed the old man and the room, then entered the latter. My gaze landed upon someone sleeping on the bed.
The person was a young girl, no older than ten years old.
I examined her face and saw that she was clearly ill, her body covered in dark spots.
"What's wrong with her?" I murmured.
She appeared to be suffering from an ailment. I continued to observe her. The old man re-entered the room and gestured for me to examine her more closely.
I wasn't sure what would happen next, but I deduced that the old man wished for me to look at the girl. I nodded in agreement to the elder.
The function to probe the ten-year-old girl was then activated by me.
[Ding! An evil plant venom was detected within her body.]
[Ding! The venom is a type of evil magic.]
The system's voice echoed in my mind, and my heart began to race. I then glanced at the old man, who clearly desired me to save the girl.
However, he himself was a Magic Lord. If he couldn't save her, what hope did I have? I could only think this to myself.
"System, is there any method to save her?" I inquired from the system.
[Ding! This is a form of magic that can only be dispelled by an Evil Wizard.]
The system's voice sounded in my mind once more, but what followed was entirely unexpected.
The old man continued to observe the young man before him.
Sensing the old man's steady gaze, I then asked the system to locate a way to provide temporary treatment.
[Ding! The host can temporarily suppress the venom using a black lily.]
The system provided the answer, which brought a sense of calm to my agitated heart.
