Wizard Vincent received intel from the Zero Puppet revealing Magic Lord Clint's scheme to disrupt the shop and tarnish his reputation during his absence. An informer warned of wizard families and forces uniting against him, even dispatching spies to target Appraiser Frank. Calming his urge for immediate revenge, Vincent devised a cunning counter-plan: disguising a media reporter as staff to live-broadcast any further attacks, enlisting Elder Blake to arrange it swiftly before the shop's opening.

Crystal City-Shop

Time flew by.

Elder Blake arrived with his friend from the media house, named Chris. The group began following the plan precisely.

Chris had brought along several assistants. They were set to act as additional staff members.

In the gallery room, I awaited the arrival of Magic Lord Clint. Yet, due to yesterday's chaos, the news had spread far and wide. Not even one customer showed up today.

It was somewhat disheartening. Such clashes had happened in the past.

Previously, there had been a clash with the Flame Elemental Tower. Back then, patrons kept flooding in regardless. But this time around, zero visitors appeared.

Elder Blake was present. Hank, Patrick, and Otto lay injured in bed. Only old man Rock stood as backup. Being a Magic Lord himself, he remained unaffected by Magic Lord Clint's actions.

To shatter the deadlock, a brilliant notion struck me.

I called them into my room. Old man Rock, Elder Blake, and Chris entered. The rest of the helpers stayed in the gallery room.

They offered greetings upon spotting me. I gave a nod and remarked, "No one is coming. Why don’t you ask your media channel and tell them to telecast that the shop has opened today?"

Chris replied, "I will inform them."

He understood that Magic Lord Clint would only show up if the shop seemed operational as normal.

The team sprang into action. They exited the room. Chris promptly notified his superiors, who aired the announcement about the appraisal shop right away.

Local viewers tuned into the media broadcast and caught the update. Shock rippled through the crowd. Following yesterday's turmoil, no one anticipated Wizard Vincent reopening today.

Curiosity sparked among the residents. Though unsure of what might unfold, fear kept them from heading over.

Everyone knew the Magic Towers were targeting Wizard Vincent Carey.

The report reached wizard families and the wizard association.

They itched to visit but held back. Offending the Green Elemental Tower was the last thing they wanted.

Just the Infinite Wizard Association backed Wizard Vincent. Still, they wouldn't stir without his direct request for aid.

Nevertheless, outsiders from beyond the city eyed a trip to the shop.

Some had genuine dealings there. With the place deserted, they saw a prime chance.

Meeting Wizard Vincent in person would be a bonus.

Thus, these folks headed toward Crystal City. The broadcast proved effective. Those seeking appraisal services brushed off yesterday's drama.

Hotel

Magic Lord Clint got word from his superiors. Stunned, he flicked on the screen. The broadcast rolled, featuring a local media channel.

It announced an appraisal shop open for business today. Fresh staff had joined, giving the place a revitalized vibe.

Magic Lord Clint's expression twisted sharply. After all his schemes yesterday, he figured the punk was crippled.

He never imagined Wizard Vincent recovering so swiftly.

He'd even hurt the shop's crew. Clint anticipated Vincent seeking payback. But nothing of the sort occurred.

"No, I can’t let this happen," Magic Lord Clint grumbled under his breath.

He aimed to bait Wizard Vincent once more. This round, he craved a fierce response—one that sparked a brawl.

Confidence surged back into Magic Lord Clint. He planned to repeat his ploy. Departing the hotel, he skipped notifying the three Supreme Wizards.

He headed to the shop solo.

...

Shop

I sat in the gallery room office, anticipating Magic Lord Clint's visit. The news ploy had succeeded.

The whole city now buzzed about the shop's reopening today.

Elder Blake, Chris, and Old Man Rock lingered in the gallery room. They braced for impending trouble. The assistants were there too.

Soon enough, the first patron arrived.

He hailed from a nearby city, carrying an antique artifact. He sought an appraisal from Appraiser Frank.

Joy lit up the gallery room.

More customers trickled in. With the flow building, the main target wouldn't be far behind.

A few minutes passed,

Magic Lord Clint stepped into the Crystal Community, unaccompanied.

Approaching the shop, he noticed a line of customers forming. Though modest in size, it promised to swell quickly.

Clint hurried to the entrance. New faces caught his eye. He strode straight inside, his stare shifting to the gallery room.

Clint entered the gallery room. He passed more unfamiliar staff. Then his eyes locked on two known figures.

Elder Blake and a Physique-type Magic Lord stood there. Magic Lord Clint let out a chilly snort.

His scan swept the room before settling on the office. There, Vincent Carey chatted with someone.

Killing intent surged within his eyes.

Unbeknownst to him, another gaze was locked onto him. That individual turned out to be Chris. With a quick eye signal, Chris directed the men to activate the concealed recording devices.

As Magic Lord Clint fixed his stare on the office room, he remained unaware of the men's movements. The devices were powered on by them.

Recording of the scene commenced on the gadgets. It went live immediately. The nearby media outlet began broadcasting it.

In the office room, I chatted with the customer. I had also spotted Magic Lord Clint's entrance.

I realized the team had probably initiated their plan. A live performance was now in progress. I chose to extend the discussion for a couple more minutes.

I felt confident that Magic Lord Clint would be seething with rage.

Minutes passed, then I instructed the customer to exit. He nodded in agreement and departed the room.

Magic Lord Clint's fury had already ignited.
