After failing to sell the ominous Black Box and Red Book to the appraisal shop, the old man and his companions hire a local to secretly place the items inside the gallery room. The local succeeds unnoticed by the staff, but the protagonist detects the intrusion via the Zero Puppet and swiftly retrieves the items, storing them in his system space. Disappointed by the lack of vigilance from Patrick, Otto, and others, he erases surveillance footage and ponders the Green Elemental Tower's framing attempt. The conspirators celebrate their success and depart, while the Green Elemental Tower informs the Flame Elemental Tower to advance the plan against the shop.

Flame Elemental Tower

Magic Lord Scott felt genuine surprise. It had never occurred to him that the Green Elemental Tower would offer assistance, especially given their well-known rivalry with the Silver Tower. Even though they maintained a facade of unity toward the outside world, fierce competition persisted between their organizations.

While the true reasoning behind their alliance remained unclear, he felt relieved. It provided him a fresh chance to assault the appraisal shop, an objective he had failed to accomplish during his previous attempt to capture Frank, the owner.

Although Forbidden Wizard Callum had advised him to move on from this grudge, Scott felt confident that the Lord would not object to him targeting the business once more.

A grim resolve ignited in his eyes. He had finally secured his path toward retaliation. After departing the immediate area, he signaled his associates. He briefed the other Magic Lords present at the Flame Elemental Tower on his intentions before departing alongside a group of elite members.

These official forces consisted of Supreme Wizards and Level-9 Wizards. They boarded several aerial vessels and set a direct course for Crystal City.

Meanwhile,

The Green Elemental Tower received the intelligence. It sent shockwaves through their ranks; they had not anticipated such a rapid escalation.

Recognition dawned once they identified the Magic Lord in question. They immediately grasped that Magic Lord Scott was pursuing a personal vendetta, and this time, he was prepared to show no mercy. He intended to strike the shop owner directly. Should any prohibited ominous relics be uncovered, Scott could justify purging the shop without requiring authorization from the Mage Union. Anyone caught holding such illicit goods would face catastrophic repercussions.

Crystal City Shop

Operations continued as usual, but the events of the previous night had left me restless. I sensed intuitively that someone would be sniffing around for those items sooner rather than later.

Since I expected a visit from these "guests" at any second, I couldn't remain stationary. I paced through the shop, eventually finding my staff in the gallery room handling the steady stream of customers. My feeling of impending disaster, however, would not fade.

A few hours passed,

A swarm of flying vehicles descended upon Crystal City. They brazenly occupied the local airspace until they reached the crystal community, hovering in a formation of over thirty craft.

The spectacle left the populace paralyzed with fear. Those waiting in line were terrified, initially assuming a group of wealthy patrons had descended upon them.

Swoosh!

Almost instantly, figures began disembarking from the vessels—these were the official disciples of the Flame Elemental Tower.

The locals were rattled. City officials were particularly quick to identify that a major violation of the peace had occurred. Elder Blake, upon hearing reports of an intrusion into the crystal community, immediately suspected the Flame Elemental Tower.

His demeanor darkened. Accompanied by his staff, he rushed toward the shop.

Meanwhile,

Seeing the fleet of vehicles, I knew conflict had arrived. I exited the building, with Old man Rock at my side and the rest of my companions following close behind. My gaze locked onto the wizards clad in Flame Elemental robes, and my expression chilled instantly.

Based on recent developments, I had expected the Green Elemental Tower, yet it was the Flame Elemental Tower that had chosen to show their faces.

Scanning the rows of Supreme and Level-9 Wizards, I knew they would require at least a Magic Lord to hold authority over such a deployment.

Swoosh!

A moment later, Elder Blake and his subordinates appeared from within the community, rushing toward my location. We exchanged brief, grim nods. He then turned his focus to the encroaching vessels. Recognizing the agitators, he commanded his officials to clear the area and seal the community borders.

The officials moved with speed, directing patrons toward the exits. Sensing the gravity of the situation, the customers began to flee.

The Flame Elemental Tower disciples seemed content to let the crowd dissipate.

A short while later,

The shop vicinity was cleared. City guards now maintained a tight perimeter around the crystal community, blocking news reporters and curious locals alike.

Word quickly spread to the city’s major factions, who were stunned by the audacity of the Flame Elemental Tower's return. Several prominent figures from the Wizard Association and other powerhouse organizations rushed toward the community.

Shop

Magic Lord Scott disembarked. He had come alone, leaving the various families behind; even Tulip Auction House Owner Roderick and the backing Magic Lords remained ignorant of his actions.

Scott’s eyes focused on me. Then, he shifted his attention to the sturdy, body-type wizard and the city official.

"Shop owner Frank, we find ourselves face to face again. It is a pity that you insist on wearing that mask; I have yet to see your true appearance," Scott remarked.

I offered a faint smile. "And what is your goal this time?"

Magic Lord Scott chuckled, repeating, "Goal?"

"I am performing my official duty. It has come to my attention that you are harboring ominous magic items, which are strictly prohibited by the Mage Union. I am here to seize them and place you under arrest for your transgressions," Scott stated with a patronizing grin.

Gasps rippled through the onlookers.

"You spun this exact same fairy tale last time," I retorted, my voice ringing out clearly for all to hear. "Now you attempt it again. It seems the Flame Elemental Tower is desperate to undermine the Silver Tower, so you’ve decided to make me your scapegoat."

More murmurs erupted. The locals had heard the rumors, and witnessing the same aggressor return only fueled their anxiety. Meanwhile, powerful wizards from the surrounding city factions arrived, only to be held back by the outer cordon of city guards.

During the previous incident, Manager Lara had managed to de-escalate the tension, but this sudden arrival of the Flame Elemental Tower was entirely beyond anyone’s expectations.
