Taylor and Connor returned to the damaged airship, confronting old man Reese who revealed the escorted goods had been stolen right under their watch. Suspecting foul play from Reese, the two Magic Lords attacked him, drawing the fight miles away and leaving the eight Supreme Wizards behind in confusion. Seizing the moment, the young gravity wizard emerged and unleashed his Gravity Field spell, crushing the Supreme Wizards under immense pressure until they perished, then swiftly looted the goods and escaped, confident his faction would shield him from repercussions.

After departing from the empty plot, I proceeded with my trip back to the border city.

Several hours afterward, I approached the border. I retrieved my maroon vehicle from the system storage and commenced driving.

Swoosh!

The vehicle lifted off the ground and headed toward the border city. By the time I arrived, morning had already arrived.

Just like always, the border sentries halted me for inspection. I presented my Silver Badge, and they permitted me to proceed.

I drove past the border checkpoint and into the border town. Without pausing anywhere, I kept on driving.

...

One hour prior, meanwhile:

The Magic Lords ceased their battle since they were delaying their arrival at the target location.

Old man Reese suffered severe wounds. Connor and Taylor showed no compassion; they had thoroughly thrashed the elderly man.

Taylor and Connor headed back to their earlier spot, yet the sight that greeted them left them stunned.

No trace remained of the supreme wizards. All eight had vanished. The earth was merely stained crimson with blood.

Next, they glanced at the airship. It stood there, but the Captain, the Assistant, and the rest were nowhere to be seen.

They had disappeared. Taylor and Connor shared a glance. They realized that someone had slain all the wizards. They had arrived too late.

Swoosh!

Old man Reese reached the location moments later. He witnessed the destruction too. The terrain had caved in, and blood coated the surface. A chilling light flickered in his eyes.

He declared, "I warned you earlier. Another individual is behind the plunder. He eliminated the members too."

Upon hearing this, Taylor and Connor fell quiet. Words escaped them; the truth lay evident before them.

Taylor remarked, "Perhaps the old man speaks truly. Considering the might of the wizard families, he wouldn't risk such an act."

Connor's gaze wavered. Doubt lingered in him still. Clarity would come once they returned to their city.

Tud!

He descended to the ground and examined the airship. No cargo lingered within. The perpetrator, whoever it was, had stripped the goods from the other two compartments as well.

Taylor spotted the issue too, and his face darkened. The cargo was lost. All three would endure the fury of the proprietors.

"Let's depart. We must notify the owners. They will uncover the facts," Taylor suggested.

Connor consented. Old man Reese breathed a sigh of relief. Had the conflict persisted, he would have met his end.

Swoosh! The trio departed the area.

...

That nightfall, the maroon vehicle arrived at the transit city adjacent to Crystal City. I set it down in a secluded spot.

I stored the vehicle back in the system space and contacted Hank. When he picked up, I instructed him to head to the transit city.

I waited in a spot close to the residential zone, where few people wandered.

I scanned the surroundings until I spotted a stone bench. Approaching it, I took a seat.

I drew in a deep breath, replaying the incident. The magic spell unleashed by one of the Magic Lords lingered sharply in my thoughts.

His assault had altered the weather; he unleashed hurricanes and tornadoes to flush me out.

Yet I had concealed myself within the Gregor Mansion. Had I taken refuge in my Raven Aircraft or vehicle, detection would have come sooner.

One hour later:

Hank pulled up in the car. Spotting me, he offered a greeting. I acknowledged him with a nod before stepping into the vehicle. Hank inquired nothing and began driving. The car departed the transit city shortly after.

Inside the vehicle, I employed the system to detect any pursuers. The system reported none. Relief washed over me. The Magic Lords could still be combing the nearby regions.

Curiosity gnawed at Hank. He yearned to learn if Master Vincent had triumphed, yet he held back. Uncertainty clouded his master's temperament. Conversely, I discerned Hank's intentions.

"What is it you wish to inquire?" I prompted him.

Hank started in surprise. He hadn't anticipated the Master perceiving his mind. He replied, "Master, what of the goods?"

"I seized them all. It will inflict a massive setback on them," I informed him.

Gasp!

Hank gasped in astonishment. He grasped that the Master's casual tone masked immense peril.

I then inquired about the store. "What occurred in my absence?"

Hank composed himself and responded, "Master, Senior Otto identified the spies from the Green Elemental Tower.

"Several patrons purchased items from the shop and sought to encounter you, but you were absent. We explained you were occupied with another customer."

"Green Elemental Tower," I arched my brows in astonishment. I had struck hard at the allies of the Flame Elemental Tower.

With the Green Elemental Tower now emerging, they deserved identical handling.

Time elapsed.

We soon arrived at Crystal City. Hank steered the car straight to the neighborhood.

In an instant, the vehicle entered the neighborhood and halted before the mansion. I adjusted the mask covering my face.

Confirming its condition, I peered out the window. Night had fallen, yet a lengthy line formed outside.

The car settled on the ground. We exited together. Immediately, the eyes of the queued customers fixed upon us.

I gave them a nod before heading into the mansion. I observed old man Rock monitoring the crowd.

Patrick and Otto occupied the gallery room. Entering, I saw over ten individuals browsing the displays.

I spared them a quick look before proceeding to my office. Eagerness built to inspect the seized items.

The patrons noticed the store owner, Frank. They desired conversation, but they knew the owner disdained idle chatter.
