Godly Empress Doctor Chapter 4251: The Finale (6)
Previously on Godly Empress Doctor...
Feng Wu believed a glimmer of hope remained, as Luo Nantian and the Principal were on the verge of regaining their cultivation.
Seated upon the throne, Emperor Yan peered down at the crowd below him.
“Followers of the Sacred Mu Cliff, I see you...” A cold smirk played on Emperor Yan's lips. “Excellent. Everyone is present.”
Hua Yangzi fixed a dark, brooding gaze on Emperor Yan. “Your Majesty, what is the meaning of this?”
“Locating you is usually a difficult task, let alone bringing you all together,” Emperor Yan remarked. “It brings me great joy to see you all assembled here in the imperial capital. Lord Yan, you have done well.”
Lord Yan offered a strained smile. Initially, he hadn't realized he could lure so many members of the Sacred Mu Cliff, but His Majesty’s praise offered him some reassurance.
“It was only possible due to Your Majesty’s masterful strategy. I merely carried out your instructions.” Lord Yan bowed, his face filled with deep respect for Emperor Yan.
Hua Yangzi didn't look away from Emperor Yan as he suddenly demanded, “Your Majesty, were you the one responsible for my master’s disappearance?”
Having spent years investigating the case with meticulous detail, Hua Yangzi’s evidence now pointed directly at Emperor Yan.
Emperor Yan gave a thin smile. “I am surprised it took you so many years to finally identify me. That must have been quite a struggle.”
The response was cryptic. He didn't offer a direct confession, nor did he issue a denial; it was a silent admission of guilt.
Not every member of the Sacred Mu Cliff possessed the composure of their senior brother. Patriarch Helian erupted in fury, “So, you are the one who harmed my master? You deserve to die!”
Emperor Yan chuckled. “I didn't just harm him. I ended him.”
Dead...
The faces of the Sacred Mu Cliff cultivators turned pale with rage. Hua Yangzi sneered, “Master is not dead.”
“No, he is gone,” Emperor Yan countered. “I took his life with my own hands.”
Hua Yangzi repeated firmly, “Master is not dead.”
Emperor Yan burst into loud laughter. “I deceived him into consuming poison, then I flayed his skin, ripped out his tendons, and bled him dry. He is as dead as can be!”
Feng Wu glared at the Emperor, her heart filled with a desire to tear him apart.
Emperor Yan continued to laugh maniacally. “My third brother was a fool to be so merciful, trying to protect that brat. Naturally, I had to eliminate him! I could never allow the empire to fall into that child's hands!”
What? Feng Wu felt a wave of confusion.
This was a grudge from a previous generation and a closely guarded royal secret. Feng Wu realized that most people present were likely as lost as she was, save for the few high-level figures.
Noticing Feng Wu’s bewildered expression, Luo Nantian whispered an explanation, “The former emperor sired three exceptional princes. The crown prince was the eldest, His Majesty was the second, and Master Mu was the third prince.”
What? Feng Wu turned to Luo Nantian, her eyes wide with shock. Her ethereal master was once a prince of the royal bloodline?
Luo Nantian nodded solemnly. “All three princes were brilliantly talented, each capable of leading the Dayan Empire to five centuries of prosperity. However, they were perhaps too gifted for their own good.”
“While the crown prince was a formidable cultivator, he possessed a fatal flaw: he was too soft-hearted. Following the chaos of those years, the crown prince eventually perished, leaving only an infant behind,” Luo Nantian told Feng Wu. “I suspect the circumstances surrounding the late crown prince's death were suspicious.”
“The late prince was actually poisoned by His Majesty...”
