"I have always disliked resorting to brute force, but you obstinate old fool refuse to heed counsel. Since that is the case, I am compelled to employ alternative measures."
Observing Silvon's untamed and defiant stance, Aaron Verdant voiced his words, the smile on his face finally dissipating.
"Silvon, today, I, Aaron Verdant, shall demonstrate to you that there is always a superior power, and invariably someone more capable."
"Even amongst Emperors, a significant disparity exists!"
The instant these words left his lips, Aaron Verdant vanished from his position.
His speed was so tremendous that it caught everyone completely off guard. By the time the assembled crowd could react, he had already traversed the intervening space and appeared directly before Silvon.
"Such incredible speed!" Silvon's expression shifted dramatically. An icy longsword materialized instantaneously in his grip, and with a powerful sweep, he slashed towards Aaron Verdant.
Boom!
The two combatants collided with immense force.
Devastating energy waves erupted outwards, causing the very fabric of space within several dozen feet to fracture and disintegrate.
They exchanged a flurry of blows as they ascended into the night sky, purposefully drawing the engagement away to prevent their allies from suffering harm.
"Astoundingly swift... my eyes can barely track their movements!" Ethan's countenance grew exceedingly serious as he witnessed Aaron Verdant's sudden assault.
This was a confrontation between experts at the Emperor Realm.
Even for him, discerning their trajectories proved extraordinarily challenging.
Furthermore, this was occurring while both combatants were intentionally restraining their full power. Otherwise, this celestial expanse would likely have been obliterated into mere dust!
The battleground progressively receded into the distance. Presently, the onlookers could only discern intermittent flashes of divine power oscillating within the clouds high above in the nocturnal heavens, accompanied by a continuous barrage of explosions that rained down like muted thunder.
This presented an exceptional opportunity to witness a clash between Emperor Realm powerhouses. However, Ethan found himself unable to focus on the spectacle.
He had more pressing matters to attend to.
With Silvon occupied by Aaron Verdant, and Glacien and the others engaged with Tiberan's contingent, Lucien was left isolated.
A golden opportunity to eliminate him! A chance that presented itself perhaps once in a lifetime, and one he absolutely could not afford to miss!
The Moonfall Clan harbored profoundly audacious ambitions.
Even if they were to suffer a defeat and withdraw today, they would undoubtedly seek retribution. They would not let this matter conclude.
To thwart their aspirations, they needed to be dealt a devastating blow, forced to pay an agonizingly steep price, to such an extent that they would be incapable of mustering the strength to assail the Riverborn Clan again for a considerable period.
"This should suffice!"
Ethan cast a glance at his right arm. The wound had already formed a scab, and he could move it without restriction, though it still could not withstand excessive strain.
This limitation did not present a significant impediment. To contend with the current Lucien, a single hand would be more than adequate!
The sole concern gnawing at Ethan was Glacien and his companions.
There were a total of ten Perfect Supremes within their ranks. Even if their forces were divided evenly, they could still hold their own against Tiberan's group. In his current state, confronting five Perfect Supremes concurrently would still prove somewhat taxing.
"Brother Zeon, would you do me a favor?" Ethan's voice resonated telepathically.
"What sort of favor? Simply state your request," Zeon replied, turning his attention towards Ethan.
"Senior Aaron is currently locked in combat with Silvon. The Moonfall Clan's sole expert at the Emperor Realm is thus temporarily indisposed. This situation presents an ideal opening. I intend to eliminate that brat, Lucien!" Ethan declared with measured calm.
"Brother Ethan, but your injuries..."
"Rest assured, it is not a significant issue. To dispose of Lucien, one hand is quite sufficient!" Ethan responded confidently.
"..."
Zeon remained silent for two brief seconds before nodding with solemnity. "Proceed with your assault. Should Glacien dispatch any forces in your direction, I shall instruct Uncle Black and Uncle White to intercept them."
Ethan acknowledged with a nod and then proceeded towards Boren and the others. This initial wave of combatants from the seven allied tribes possessed varying levels of strength.
"Everyone, the Emperor Realm expert of the Moonfall Clan has been successfully restrained by Senior Aaron. If you hesitate to strike now, when will you seize the moment?!"
"You must surely grasp that Senior Aaron can only hold them at bay for a limited duration, not indefinitely!"
"If your objective is to utterly shatter the Moonfall Clan's ambitions, you must inflict wounds upon their very core and strategic backbone! This present moment is undeniably the optimal window!" Ethan implored, his gaze sweeping over Boren and the assembled group.
"In that case, what course of action does Young Master Ethan propose?" Boren inquired.
"It is quite straightforward. Entrust Lucien to my care. I shall require your assistance in dealing with the remainder of the Moonfall Clan's forces. Our priority must be to diminish the Moonfall Clan's effective combat strength at the most rapid pace achievable!"
"Young Master Ethan speaks the truth! This is indeed an unparalleled opportunity. While Silvon is neutralized, let us collectively strike the Moonfall Clan and demonstrate unequivocally that our seven clans are not to be underestimated!" a resounding voice declared amongst the assembly.
"Exactly! We must seize this chance to strike the Moonfall Clan with decisive blows, ensuring they cannot menace the other Ancient Clans and factions of the Far North Ice Field for a span of time!"
The assembled crowd voiced their agreement, backing Ethan's bold strategy.
"Since that is the consensus, I shall waste no more words. Let us proceed!"
Ethan declared with finality, his unwavering gaze then fixing upon Lucien.
"Young Master Ethan, what is your intention?" Liora inquired from his side.
"Lucien. I am determined to end him!" Ethan stated unequivocally.
"Do you require my assistance?"
"For the Eldest Princess to have arranged for Senior Aaron to intervene and protect me, that is already sufficient."
"After all, as the Princess of the Great Verdant Empire, your every utterance and deed carries immense weight. It is far more fitting for me to manage this particular affair personally," Ethan elaborated.
"Understood," Liora responded with a nod.
Even before her acknowledgment fully registered, Ethan had already dematerialized from his position.
Clutching the God Killing Spear, he transformed into a streak of obsidian lightning, hurtling directly towards Lucien.
Witnessing Ethan's swift departure, the others exchanged knowing glances and readied themselves to follow suit.
Boom!
Ethan's velocity was breathtaking, shattering the sound barrier repeatedly and unleashing a cascade of explosive booms.
From a distance, Lucien, who was still grappling with his wounds, detected the resounding sounds and his brow furrowed. Upon opening his eyes, he perceived a rapidly expanding black point of light. The assailant hurtling towards him was unmistakably Ethan!
"Ethan!"
Lucien's countenance shifted dramatically, swiftly giving way to an explosion of furious indignation.
This Ethan was clearly targeting him with lethal intent. Judging by his resolute posture, he was resolved to fight him to the very last breath!
"Damn it all!"
"He sustained such grievous injuries moments ago! How could he possibly have recuperated so rapidly?!"
"Does he not feel fatigue at all?!"
Lucien's expression was a mask of utter disbelief and fury.
His gaze drifted to his severed left sleeve, a fresh wave of indignant rage surging within his core.
