God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World! Chapter 567: Sophie’s Strength

The chamber became completely silent after Alfonso spoke.
Broken Dawn members tightened their grips on their weapons almost immediately, and even the exhausted players forced themselves upright because everyone understood this was no longer a simple confrontation inside the tomb.
This was an execution attempt.
Sophie stepped forward slightly as dark green mana began flowing around her body. Thick devouring vines burst from the cracked ground beneath her boots, twisting across the stone floor like living serpents while her veil continued covering most of her face. Even so, the sharpness in her eyes became obvious enough that several nearby Church knights instinctively grew more cautious.
"You are picking your timing carefully," she said calmly.
Alfonso smiled faintly instead of denying it.
"Should I apologize for using my brain?" he asked while folding one hand behind his back. "Your guild is exhausted, injured, and separated from the one person capable of causing problems for me."
Ragnarok99 snorted coldly. "You talk too much for someone standing in front of armed people."
The Holy Church formation shifted immediately as several knights lowered their stances while priests behind them quietly raised staffs glowing with pale holy light. The pressure inside the chamber rose sharply afterward, causing some weaker Broken Dawn members to tense instinctively.
Cassie glanced toward Sophie. "What do we do?"
Sophie remained silent for a moment, her eyes locked onto Alfonso while her thoughts moved quickly through their situation. Most of their members were exhausted, mana reserves were running dangerously low, and fighting the Church inside the tomb would be far worse than battling monsters.
Alfonso noticed the hesitation and chuckled softly.
"You are thinking correctly. You cannot win."
Ragnarok99’s fingers tightened around his sword as he spat out, "Arrogant bastard."
One of the Church knights stepped forward angrily after hearing that.
"You dare insult His Eminence?"
Ragnarok99 immediately pointed his sword toward him. "Come closer and I will insult you properly."
The tension inside the chamber soared.
Holy energy spread through the air while mana surged from Broken Dawn’s side in response. Even the dead qi lingering around the chamber began reacting strangely to the unstable atmosphere.
Alfonso slowly raised one hand and his people stopped instantly.
The Cardinal’s gaze returned to Sophie. "Where is Gabriel?"
"I do not report to you," replied Sophie.
Alfonso sighed lightly as though disappointed by the answer.
"A pity."
Without warning, holy energy exploded outward from his body.
BOOOOM!!!!
The pressure slammed into the chamber hard enough to shake dust from the ceiling. Several injured Broken Dawn members stumbled backward immediately while cracks spread beneath Alfonso’s feet.
"Move!" Ragnarok99 shouted.
Church knights charged forward at the same time Broken Dawn members activated their skills. Holy spells illuminated the chamber while Sophie’s vines burst violently across the battlefield, tearing through the cracked floor before wrapping around charging knights.
FWOOOSH!!!
A spear of holy light shot directly toward Bunny.
Cassie intercepted it midway with a defensive skill, but the impact still blasted both women backward several steps. The stone wall behind them cracked from the force alone.
Sophie moved next. Her vines suddenly expanded across the battlefield, lunging toward the advancing Church knights like hungry predators. One knight was instantly dragged off balance after thick vines wrapped around his legs while another barely managed to sever the incoming branches before they reached his throat.
"You inherited his habit of resistance," Alfonso said while staring at Sophie. "Unfortunately, you did not inherit his strength."
His hand moved and a massive wave of holy pressure descended immediately afterward.
BANG!!!
The attack smashed directly into Sophie’s defensive barrier of intertwined vines and forced her backward across the floor. Several vines exploded apart instantly while her breathing became visibly heavier.
"He is too strong!"
Several Broken Dawn members were already struggling badly.
The Church had entered this battle fully prepared while Broken Dawn had barely recovered from the undead nest earlier. Mana reserves were falling rapidly again, and the holy energy filling the chamber weakened several defensive abilities almost immediately.
A wounded player near the rear suddenly collapsed after taking a blade across the stomach, turning into data fragments.
Another priest raised a glowing staff toward him coldly.
Sophie reacted instantly.
SHIIING!!!
A razor sharp vine shot across the chamber and forced the priest backward before the finishing blow could land. The attack saved the injured player, but another Church knight immediately slipped past the opening and struck Sophie across the arm.
Blood stained part of her sleeve instantly.
Cassie’s expression changed sharply after seeing her best friend bleeding.
"Sophie!"
"I’m fine," she replied quickly, though her breathing had clearly grown rougher.
Alfonso calmly observed the battlefield while slowly walking through the chaos. Holy light naturally bent around him, forcing even the surrounding dead qi away from his body.
"You are all weaker than I expected," he said in a condescending tone.
Bunny gritted her teeth. "Someone shut him up already."
A Church knight slammed his shield into her side before she could fully dodge.
BOOM!!!
The impact sent her crashing across the floor hard enough to leave a shoulder wide crater in the stone. Cassie immediately rushed to cover her while cursing under her breath.
Broken Dawn was steadily being pushed backward.
Even the members still standing understood it now. The Holy Church had entered this battle intending to wipe them out completely, and without Gabriel present, the difference in overall strength had become painfully obvious.
Alfonso finally stopped walking.
His eyes settled on Sophie once more, and for the first time since arriving, genuine killing intent appeared clearly within them.
"You should blame Gabriel for this," he said calmly. "If he had stayed beside you, perhaps I would have waited longer."
Holy energy rapidly gathered around his palm.
The pressure alone made several nearby Broken Dawn members pale instantly. Even before the attack was released, everyone could already tell this strike was meant to kill.
Sophie struggled to her feet despite the exhaustion weighing down her body while dark vines coiled tightly around her arm like living armor.
"I was made the vice leader of Broken Dawn because Gabriel trusted me..." Sophie declared as the ground around her began to tremble. "I’ll show you why!"
